Me and my 3 friends booked through a package website and was originally meant to be staying at the Ambasciatori, but when we arrived at the hotel due to hotel refurbishment we was staying in the hotel next door (Delfino). We had an easy check in and the rooms were fine just what we wanted, we also had a fridge which was handy. The tv only played 1 channel of English (news) but for 3 nights it was ok The location was great, not too into the centre of Venice but the journey to get there was 10 minutes, the bus stop was literally outside. There’s also a spar, McDonald’s, tobacco shop and chemist nearby which is really handy. We brought a transport pass before we got there which was valid for 3 days and it’s cheaper online than to get while you’re over there. The male receptionists were really handy, helped us whenever we needed and on the last day we paid €20 to keep our room on and we did not leave the hotel till about 6 so it was a good idea. We really did have a great time in Venice and this review would have been 4* but on the last hour, we received awful customer service from their 2 lady receptionists. Before we was leaving the hotel, I ran downstairs to ask the receptionist that if we was buying a bus ticket to go to the airport, could we pay on card, receptionist tells us yes that’s fine. Go downstairs to pay, say 4 bus tickets to the airport (a shocking €8/9 each, but did not tell us the price originally), get our cards out to pay, she says cash only. even though we was told we could use card, so I say .. we was told we could use card ? The other receptionist says no cash only, in a rude manner, we did not even get an apology that they told us the wrong information. It would be fine to use cash if their atm in the hotel did not charge you €3/4 a time to withdraw cash. And because they did not tell us the amount we had to use the cash machine twice. Again, no apology, I cannot believe how rude they was. It literally let the hotel down. So regarding this, our stay was okay.

Please see below of what I think is a fair and just review on my experience staying at the above hotel. Upon check in, we were greeted by friendly staff who were happy to help with all requirements. We required to pay a €20 early check in charge as we arrived early morning. Fair enough, most places require this anyway. On arrival into our room, we found it was quite cramped but, of course, came with all the necessities. I am not one to be looking for issues but we came across a few obvious ones (see images) there were multiple hairs found in the shower and a brown mark on one of the pillows. The drain in the shower was also massively blocked and one of the lights didn’t work. It didn’t give us the best of first impressions. And truth be told, I wasn’t that impressed with the hotel at this point. The room, however, was lovely and quiet at night and there were plenty of blankets to wrap up to in the cold nights. Plenty of storage and a good sized bathroom. The restaurant was lovely. Met, MY MAN, Andrea. If you’re reading this Delfino, this guy deserves commending. Always enjoyed his company in the evening after a long day walking the streets of Venice. In terms of the location, I am happy where the hotel is situated. Only a €1.50 bus journey onto the island making it cheaper to get in and out. Services running up until midnight giving plenty of time to enjoy your stay. To conclude, the hygiene of the room really did put me off. Although, as mentioned, the location is good and for the price, the hotel isn’t too bad at all. Big up Andrea and hope everyone finds this review useful.

The staff at the reception was not welcome and warm at all. The room had a good level of cleanness, but we could see the room wasn't used for a while - hangers were dusty, for example. The bus stop to the main island is across the street and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get there. The train station is also 15 minutes far away on foot. There are plenty of facilities around supermarkets, restaurants, laundry, and local shops. The bed was quite big and comfortable, and I couldn't hear too much noise other than the building by itself.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was excellent. The location was perfect for Venice, travelling by bus (bus stop right next to the Hotel entrance) took about 20 minutes, and of course saving a good deal of money when considering that equivalent Hotels are much more expensive in Venice itself. I would recommend buying a Pass for the Venice River Taxis for the duration of your stay. We hopped on and off them frequently, the best way to get around! Paul Jonsson, Woking.

Can't call this hotel 4 star. Staff on the desk were friendly on checkin then useless everytime after that. Only plastic cups in the room, no spoon and powdered milk. POWDERED MILK!!!! The room was tired and needs overhauling, plaster coming off the walls etc. But the worst thing is the air-conditioning, our room never fell below 25 degrees, we are english we pay massive amounts to heat our homes to 21-22 degrees, we pay even more to go aboard and hope the outside temperature is 25 degrees plus, we don't want our rooms that hot. The aircon is controlled by reception which they will lower if they can be bothered to answer the phone. They still haven't answered after 5 calls

We had booked a short break at this hotel in March. Venice went into lockdown a couple of days before we were due to fly due to covid-19. We contacted the hotel for a refund or a reschedule, the hotel denied any lockdown and stated that they were not aware that their Country had stopped all foreign travel!!! They told us that we could not get a refund or a reschedule under any circumstances. We hope to visit Venice in the future but we would steer clear of this hotel, they do not deserve our money!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Venezia Mestre train station. The airport bus (number 15) stops right outside the hotel too.
Room was large and spacious with dining table, sofa, coffee machine, fridge, tv, safe, air conditioning and hairdryer. WIFI worked well. Bed and pillows were comfortable and room was quiet at night meaning we slept very well. Rainfall shower was also very nice.
Breakfast was included for us and was a self-service buffet offering hot food, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. Something for everyone.
The bus stop is opposite to the hotel where you can take bus 4 or 4L into Venice. Bus tickets can be purchased in the tobacconist shop a few metres along from the hotel. On returning from Venice, the bus stops right outside the hotel.
There is a supermarket underneath the hotel as well as bars and takeaway cafes nearby. There is also a large Spar supermarket and McDonalds around the corner.
Previous reviews say that this is a dodgy area, but not once did we (2 women) feel unsafe.
When it was time to checkout, we stood at the reception desk for a good few minutes and were completely ignored by the reception staff, which was the only negative part of the whole stay as they still did not acknowledge us when we had to leave our keys to go outside for the bus to the airport.
We would recommend this hotel and would return if we were ever to go back to Venice.

The location was good as there was a supermarket next door and a bus stop in front. The train station is a bit of a walk which can be tiring when it's hot, but it was a cheap booking so it was definitely worth it.
The room was clean but like other reviewers, I wouldn't count this as 4 stars. Getting the wifi to work was a bit of a struggle so had to ask the receptionist and he was confused too.
The shower was nice but odd, as there was only a small panel of glass in-between so water splashed everywhere.
If you are sensitive to noise, the windows are quite thin but nightlife turned quiet before 22:00 on a Friday so it wasn't bad when I stayed.

This hotel is on a bustling road which features some really great restaurants, just around the corner from Mestre train station and bus connections to the airports. The room was well equipped with enough hanging space, though not much in the way of drawers. A really good shower. You can get to the sights via one or two train stops, then take a river bus or walk around historic and wonderful Venice. The neighbourhood is said to be dodgy in places, but we felt completly safe. It was disappointing that the bar was closed and there was no food in the evening but apart from that, I'd recommend it. There's a car hire place on the parade should you want to stray outside Venice, but why would you?

Clean hotel in a good location. 4L stops right outside the hotel where you can get to water bus stop, where you get the boat to Venice. Takes about 30 minutes on average. Not much around the area once you come back from Venice so you spend most of the day out. DO NOT opt for breakfast if you have the choice. During our 3 night stay, we were the only ones at breakfast at 9am and there was barely any food - for a 4* hotel this was disappointing. I would say this isn’t even a bed and breakfast standard.

You couldn't buy bus tickets in May when I was there. However, there is a ticket machine at the bus station which is just down the road next to the railway station. We found the staff there visible and helpful.
There are more places to choose from in the Mestre area.
