This hotel was booked through the Daily Mail. First impression was good as reception and nearby lounge was very clean and modern. The receptionist was very friendly and although we was an early arrival our room was ready to use.
The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and toilet. Very nice clean towels and toiletries provided and plenty of storage space.
There is no coffee making facilities in the room but it does have a mini bar / fridge and free water.
The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows if needed.
Breakfast was full continental, it was delicious. Plenty of croissants, bread pancakes etc cold meat and cheese scrambled egg cereals and fruit juice plus tea and coffee.
The waitress was very pleasant and always cleaning tables or filling up the breakfast.
The location is about half an hour from the Venice Grand Canal. The bus stop and tram station was 5/10 minutes walk from the hotel. The bus runs every 15 minutes to and from day and night.
We bought our travel cards from the hotel, excellent value for money and way use.
Overall the hotel was clean and friendly but lacked a bit of atmosphere probably due to the time of year. Bar lounge was closed so although lounge area was nice you couldn’t even sit with a coffee.
Bars and cafes on walk to bus/tram stop.

Had a lovely stay in this hotel, staff were so friendly and easy to talk to and very welcoming to answer any questions regarding the hotel or touring around Venice. The hotel was not in central Venice which we had not realised when booking through wowcher but nevertheless it cost us less than 3 euros a day to travel into Venice by bus and back! Breakfast was included although we never had it as we were never up in time! The room was extremely tidy and clean and had water available in the mini fridge. Staff came up to our room when we asked for coke early hours of the morning and were happy to help us. Only complaint from our trip was the air con wasn’t working in our room which meant night time was still warm and we had to have the window open. Although the hotel is dated in its style and fashion it gives a bit of genuine and authentic Italian to your trip.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and was surprised at the welcoming and comfortable experience we had. The receptionists were very lovely and extremely useful when giving travel advice and restaurant recommendations. The hotel is in walking distance to a great rooftop bar named Blind Spot. The tram is in walking distance which takes you right into the tourist area of Venice.

My first holiday to Europe, went on a city break and I have got to say, this hotel was absolutely wonderful to stay at!! The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you from the concierge to the breakfast staff to the Domestic staff, all were fantastic! Breakfast was very filling with plenty to choose from, a great enjoyable way to start everyday, and the domestic staff kept the whole place in a lovely condition. Situated in a lovely part of Mestre, with the centre of the city only a short walk away and with great public transport links. Will definitely go back anytime.

This is an overall very good hotel.
The location is good, very close to the tram which takes you to Venice in 20 minutes. One of the best amenities is the fact that there is a free private parking for about 6-8 cars, which is crucial for car travelers.
Yes, the decor of the hotel is dated, but we have not found anything to be broken or dirty. The hotel is actually quite clean and the staff is very courteous. The rooms are spacious, so is the bathroom. Ours even had a window! Upon request we received a tea/coffee making set into the room.
The breakfast was good, included in the price, there is free wifi.
Please do not judge this hotel by it's slightly outdated interior decor, it has quite more to offer, the price was very decent and we would return again.

This hotel had NO air conditioning and the MANAGER of this hotel who checked us in told us NO hotel in Venice has a/c but we found out other travellers who stayed elsewhere had good a/c in Venice-I was handed a BROKEN pedestal fan that made a clunking noise when plugged in! The shower was not big enough for a 3 yr old and I am a 5’6” 138lb woman!! The windows did not open other than a tiny crack! The room bar fridge DID NOT work! There was mold in shower and on shower head and we were given a portable unit and told it was an a/c but it was a purifier !?? The comforters were ragged and old and the request from air canada tours for a larger bed and bath tub was ignored! The manager was rude and arrogant -This hotel should be condemned and taken off the air canada tours as a three star-The B&B hotel in Firenze is rated 3 star and there’s zero comparison!!! If air canada books for you to stay here REQUEST to change !! It was horrific !

We did a wowcher deal and this hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Yes it's a little dated with its decor but it's clean and the staff are great and could not do enough. I would happily stay here again!

It is about a 5 min walk to the tram where you can get straight into Venice. We struggled on the ticket machines, so urbano is the tram and bus ticket for €1.50. Route 1 means just one route, so for there and back select route 2 and that means 2 trips and so on.

Overall a lovely hotel!

We loved this hotel, easy tram ride to and from the train station and great access to the tram to Venice islands.
All the staff were terrific. The front desk staff help us with all our needs, everything from securing our valuables when the in room safe didn’t work to making sure we had breakfast to go on our last morning so that we could get to the station for an early train. The breakfast room was very nice, it had a great atmosphere and a a good selection of well prepared food. Our room was very nice and well maintained.

Terrible hotel manager, name Steve, he was very uncomfortable unfriendly, rude and not paying attention to our concerns.
Room air conditioners not working, the booking for a specific room was not complied,
Very outdated extremely small room and bathroom with a corner shower much smaller than the size of average person touching the walls of shower while in there .next to our room in the hallway they were keeping a pile of broken chairs the whole time .
Do not recommend it to anyone.

This is a total scam of a hotel. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Terrible old rooms with stained carpets. No maintenance on duty. One out of 2 elevators was out of service. The pool was shut down. The A/C was weak and making noise at night and never got fixed. Nice helpful receptionists. See my pictures. The hotel must have an army of reviewers to add 5 stars.
My Travel agent booked this room and I did not have time to do my research.

We flew into Marco Polo and were pick up with our booking and sorry can’t remember how long it took but best way to get around from hotel into Venice is to buy a multi ticket which you can buy and covers water taxi bus and train travel ours was a 2day pass which was 20 Euro each well worth it and only a 5 min walk out hotel turn right anyone will direct you to by ticket beside bus station and the girl spoke good English and was very helpful hope this is some help to you .

We had transfers booked with the cruise but after leaving a case at the airport my husband had to go back by taxi. the man on reception had to be "ordered" to book a taxi he just never helped. What was terrible was that the suitcase was where it was left after getting it off the carousel. Poor security

Why do many companies advertise this hotel as being in Venice ? It is located in Mestre.

Probably because Mestre is a Venice suburb? It's like the other Venice airport, Treviso... located much farther than Marco Polo.

How far from the hotel to train station?
Answer from HotelPresident
Venice, Italy
The train station is nearly 2 Km far, but you don't need it to reach Venice island. You can catch bus 4L or tram T1 to Venice in Piazzale Cialdini's bus station. Should you need a train to Verona or Trieste or Padua, you may catch tram T2 from Piazzale Cialdini, to reach the train station.
