I don’t even know where to begin. Georges’ responsiveness, recommendations and attention to detail allowed planning a trip with 12 people to be much smoother than expected. His cottages are well maintained, clean and equipped with everything you need. They give you the privacy of your own hot tub, pool table, kitchen and bedrooms while still being only a 25 minute drive to the village. We will absolutely be back anytime we take a trip to tremblant.

Thank you Jenny for your comments. We strive to offer our customers the best experience and memories when they rent thru blueberry lake resort. Unfortunately, customers of other rental companies don't tend to enjoy the facilities of the resort like you did.

It's my 3rd time at Blueberry Lake and the experience was just wow! Everything was well organized, wood was delivered to us before we arrived and the people went out of their way to make sure we were well served. We forgot to buy coffee and after coming over to bring more wood in the morning we asked what was possible and he said he would try to find a solution. In the middle of a snowstorm he came back and gave us some coffee. This is a nice example of someone who cares for his guests. Thanks and I've already booked another weekend and looking forward to spending some good time there again :)

Arrived at 10pm in the dark. Chalet was as advertised which was good. Bedrooms were spacious. The basement washroom ceiling needed some attention but it worked. Used the BBQ, hot tub, pool table, wifi, TV, laundry, and fire pit. All kitchen appliances worked fine. If you have asthma, keep in mind this place has carpet in all the bedrooms so you will struggle over night.

A beautiful, solidly built chalet to spend time with family (8 ppl in our group). Open area to mingle, separate bedrooms for independent quiet time. Went for a short walk to the lake but did not swim or kayak.

20mins drive north and you are in Rouge Riviere town (IGA for groceries) and 10mins drive from Labelle town. Went to swim on the beautiful sand beach at Labelle plage (Rue du Moulin). (Clean beach, clean water and free parking!!!). More kid friendly than the lake and very close to the chalet.

Called Georges Ata a few times before booking and during the stay. He always answered the phone (or called back), no matter what time!

Your vacation is what you make of it. Stay positive; you will have a good time.

We stayed in a chalet on the property last week. The owner of Blueberry Lake is the most disgusting and rudest person we ever meet! Joseph / George or whatever the his name is! We had rented 4 kayak and a paddle boat for an hour $85 dollars later! The paddle boat was broken they definitely knew and we wasted our time.. finally we were given 2 more kayaks. That was fine. The next day my husband and children wanted to swim from dock and asked if they could rent a kayak. This poor excuse of a human being started yelling at them That it’s private property and was trying to gauge them saying pay me $100 I’ll let you swim from the dock. What kind of scam is that! Then the dock we had access too was being used by another family who told us the owner told them it was private and they were charged extra! It wasn’t private for them at all!! Other rental properties were supposed to be allowed access! So once again These money hungry guys fooled another family.
Stay away from this place at all costs! Give your money to the many other places to rent in Tremblant or Labelle. They should be shut down for good!

Responded Aug 10, 2020
Hi Cheryl, We do not have any paddle boats for rental. So I am not sure from who you rented. As for the docks and the access to the lake, it is a private lake and certain access to our properties are limited to our customers. Private owners and other rental companies should inform their customers about the access of the the resort facilities. These customers will have to take their issues with the owners of the cottages that they rent from. As for us, we stand by our words, our properties are exclusive only to the customers who rent from blueberry lake, on whatever online plateform. So, I am not surprised of your comment, as you might be one of these customers that were burned by the company or the owner that rented you the cottage. Our reviews are close to 5 stars, since we purchased the resort in august 2019, and our cottages since august 2018.

We rented the cottage for 4 nights from December 24 until December 28, 2020. A cottage situated about a 25-minute drive from the Mont Tremblant Village. The reason we came here was because of the dog; we couldn’t find a place that accepted dogs. The chalet was #47; it was the best one for the location because we had a big lot overlooking Blueberry Lake, which is a small lake. The chalet had a nice size kitchen with all the necessities. The chalet had two bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and one King bedroom on the main floor with another bathroom. It also had a basement where the TV is located with another three beds, a bathroom and a pool table. The size of the chalet was perfect for two families with teenagers or three families with small kids. We didn’t meet George, the gentleman that handles all the rentals; however, we met his dad. Both of them were very helpful and always reachable during our stay when we had some questions. There are no keys to the chalet. It’s a numbered code that the owner gives you upon arrival to access the chalet. There is also a spa covered with a Pergola, which was great. We noticed that not many chalets had the pergola, so we enjoyed it. We did have a wonderful time; we walked every day around the lake in the forest paths. It was very relaxing. The only negative about the chalet was when we checked it I found the cleaning lady could have done a better job in the cleaning. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. The Kitchen is where I had a bit of an issue; the floors were not clean, the counters and the sink. The walls in the mudroom and the walls leading up to the basement stairs also could have been cleaned. I took the time to clean everything. I also found that the dining chairs had many stains and as the couches in the basement. I think this is from people that rent the chalet and our not careful and let their kids do whatever they like. I also have to mention how the beds were very comfortable, like the Westin Hotel quality. My overall impression was still good. I am not a chalet person; I prefer more being in the Mont Tremblant Village because there are more things to do and see. However, I can recommend Blueberry Lake Chalets if you are looking to chill and disconnect.

Location great , however the "Chalet" was far from great. Mold in one of the sleeping areas, the pool was green. This place was a disaster and dirty. No one came to fix any of the issues. The place needs major renos. Not worth the money spent. Will never come back.

Dear Mr. Robert, You might have stayed in a property that is owned by a private owner or managed by a different company. Our cottages are fully renovated. As for the swimming pool, It is normal that it is green, as we open it for our customers only on june 24th until the labor day weekend. So if you don’t know the opening date of the swimming pool, this proves that you are not our customer and that you were trespassing on our private property without our authorization

I have booked cottages to Blueberry lake on five different occassions. We liked to go there once, sometimes twice a year with a group of long term friends. We are all in our thirties and we like to have a relaxed weekend to get toghether.
Unfortunately all 10 of us were quite dissapointed with our last stay and came to the conclusion that we will most likely book somewhere next time.

We got there on a Feb 28th and we stayed in an Iroquois cottage (the largest). I had actually booked the exact same unit last year. (unit 61).

First of all, they adverstise that WiFi is available at the cottage which was extremely important for me. I am attending university part time and I had to attend an important webex session the first evening that I was there. Unfortunately I realzed that I could not get an internet connection anywhere in the cottage. Also as I did not have any cell phone reception, I could not use my cell phone for an hotspot. I had to drive away so I could to find some cell phone connection. I ended up attending the conference from my vehicle in the middle of nowhere.

Then when I returned to the cottage for our first group dinner, my friends informed me that we had mice in the cottage. While preparing the diner, they realized that there was poop in the kitchen cabinets over the dishes and on the counter. At that point, we were quite disgusted . I drove to the reception as I could not get anybody to pick up the phone at the main chalet and brought with me the kitchen gloves that were all eated up by the mice. I politetly informed the lady about the situation and she advised that they would inform maintenance staff. Honestly, she seemed that she could not care less. After diner, we used the hot tub which had beer corks in it. A lady from maintenance showed up on the rear balcony and said she was there for the "problem". We assumed that she would clean the kitchen at least. After we left the hot tub, we realzed that the kitchen was not cleaned and the poop was still all over. Fom what we could tell, she only dropped off new kitchen gloves.

On Friday morning we woke up realizing that overnight, the mice had eaten some bar soap. We went back to the main cottage to remind them about the mice and poop remaining in the kitchen. We were quite tired of having to wash the dishes before and after using it. It was a different lady at front desk, while she never apologize or showed any empathy, she seemed that she cared a little more and she said tha she would advise maintenance to make sure that they deal with this.

We then decided to do some activities and were hoping that it would have been rectified when we returned. So we borrowed 3 pairs of snow rackets. The lady at the activity desk was quite adament that we needed to bring the rackets back in 1 hour MAX!

Honestly, we can understand that this rule should be strict on a busy day, however, during that time of the day, we were the only one borrowing the rackets. I would say that they have at least 15-20 pairs of racket to borrow and when we returned, they were still all there. We did not see anybody else in the trails etiher. So we could not understand the need to pressure us to return them within an hour.

When we returned to our cottage, nobody had cleaned up the kitchen. Someone from maintenance showed up on the same evening for the mice problems. His solution was to give us some trap so we could chase them. Honestly at the point, the situation was so ridiculous that we all had a big laugh when the gentleman left. We realized that we would not get any satisfactory resolution from the staff. We cleaned the poop ourselves.

We also had other issues during our stay. The water had a very strong sulfer smell. We really did not think we could drink it so we drove to Labelle to buy water bottles. The smell was afwull when it came the time to take a shower.

Once of the main thing that we were astonish, was the excess of wear that this cottage was showing. As we had rented this exact same unit the year before, we could notice all the damages and lack of maintenance. I know that during our summer stays, that some large young crowds rented cottages for some hardcore parties. Last summer, while talking to a staff member, she told me that they had to intervene quite often to break up larges parties as over 20-30 people could show up to a cottage when they are suppose to handle only 10-12 people max. I think that it would be the only reason that could explain so much wear in the unit we were in... including the lack of maintenance. The walls are severly scratched up, the ceiling in the basement was all marked up, furniture is broken, lamps are missing pieces, appliances are dinged up, a few burnt bulbs were not replaced, mold in each bath and showers... Please refer to the pictures with their captions... it will give you a better idea on the excess wear and tear.

Every year, we always like to have a late check out that we normally pay $50. This year, this rate is now $100. On our last day, we like to wake up a little bit later, have a nice final breakfast as a group, relaxe to pack and clean up the cottage before we go.
We then asked for a late check out. We were hoping at least that they would possibly offer it for free for all the trouble we were dealing with. As the different cottages (including our unit) was starting to fill up, they would not accomodate any late check out. They had absolutetly no flexibity even if we paid for it. I definitely can understand that they need enough time to clean up the cottage for the new people coming in. However, due to our situation, I am sure that they could have worked something out. They could have started cleaning up other cottages and finish with ours. Even if they only had given us an hour or two extra, it would have showed their good will. But it was a flat out NO!

Every year, when we leave Blueberry Lake, we were a little bit sad and were looking foward to next time. However this time, this feeling was none existent.

Some people come to trip advisor only to trash and complain about the place they visit, however if you look at all our previous reviews, we don't do this. Considering our last experience at Blueberry Lake Resort, we judge this is a fair review.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt that the chalet was not in the same condition as you had found it on your previous visits. Some things in the house are a year older than they were on your last stay so they will naturally show some wear, but we also go to great lengths to ensure that the houses are of the highest quality. Since you last stayed with us, for example, the carpets in the lower bedrooms have been replaced and all of the caulking in the bathrooms is being replaced as we speak. We do sometimes have some issues where walls are marked when people are playing pool or when they leave with their suitcases and it is not possible to fully repair them before the next guest checks in and it sounds like this may have been the case with yourselves. With regards to your experience where you felt that any members of staff were rude to you, we take that very seriously. Whenever we receive a complaint on any aspect of a guest's experience, we sit down personally with the member of staff in question as we did in this instance. We discussed it with them and they ensured us they were very courteous and apologise for any misunderstanding, however we have only ever had extremely positive comments and compliments about them from other guests . I would also appreciate the opportunity to talk with you to understand fully what occurred and to ensure that we continue to improve our customer service levels, particularly with respect to your late check out, this was not possible unfortunately and I believe that this was a major issue for you. Please feel free to contact me directly. Warren Spurr- General Manager

Since I consider myself to be a smart traveler, I deliberately read the negative reviews first (take note managers!). It's easy to eliminate the few with unrealistic expectations or those disappointed because it rained in February or snowed in May (as it did for me!). In the case of Bleuberry Lake, the thread in most cases is consistent: chalets are great, resort is poor. So my two stars break down to 4 for the chalet with a deduction of two for the facilities.

Specifically:

WiFi was sporadic and weak not "high speed" as quoted in the internet. I needed to be in contact with work for the week I was there so WiFi was important to me. However, worse than lack of WiFi was the attitude of staff which can be summarized as "what do you expect? You're in a forest". In other words, little sympathy and no suggested solution. The receptionist did promise she would have her supervisor call me but there was no follow up.

Because the weather was not great, it might have been nice to have been able to purchase movies on the satellite TV system. This was not possible in our chalet so we were recommended to go the gas station in Labelle where we could rent a DVD. This is four star service?

In facilities on the website, visitors are offered complimentary "mountain bikes". There are no mountain bikes. Our admittedly cheerful receptionist suggested we drive the 30km to Mont Tremblant and rent bikes there which we did. I wanted to get in a bit of exercise during the week so, with hindsight, renting a chalet in Mont Tremblant would have made more sense.

According to the website, "Our central clubhouse offers a cozy bar with outdoor terrace". That would have been nice, however, as you can tell from the review so far, the website is not a reliable source of information for this resort. I suppose it is technically accurate to say that the clubhouse offers a cozy bar. Only problem is that it is not open and, according to the receptionist, is permanently closed to guests.

Bottom line. If you want a clean, spacious, well-equipped chalet and have no interest in availing of the resort facilities offered, this is a good - albeit expensive - option. You should check elsewhere for chalet-only rentals first, however. If the facilities are important to you, Blueberry lake is not the right choice. It boasts four stars but deserves to lose at least one.

My family and I went for a 4 day getaway through a coupon we had purchased on Groupons and we were soooooo dissapointed!! First of all, they say Tremblant...It is not in Tremblant it is in Labelle - 30 mins North of Tremblant. Also, they advertise an inside pool at the main reception, well as we arrived we were informed that it wasn't really a full size pool but more like a 3 foot pool which was great for kids. WTH? We checked it out & some of use went with our kids and it was "ok" but it is not well maintained. The paint on the walls is pealing & some areas are rusting as well. The cottage itself... OMG... Were should I begin? Don't get me wrong, we liked the concept of the cottage but was it ever DIRTY!! The jacuzzi bath downstairs was so filthy that we had to wash it prior to using it. The inside of the jets had mold in them. They were all BLACK! Bluck! The fooseball table downstairs was so filthy, it was incredible! Can you say cobwebs? LOL There were cobwebs galore all over the cottage... cottage walls, on top of light fixtures (one of the light fixtures above the kitchen table had so many cobwebs in it, you could barely see the light behind it - GROSS!). The pots & pans were in really bad shape. They were all scratched in the bottom which is not healthy at all to cook in used/scratched t-fal pans. Everythign would stick as well. Some of the cutlery was falling apart. Oh & we went to use a kitchen chair for my daughter to use in order to wash her hands and the top part of the chair, along with a few lats from the backing of the chair, litterally came apart! You could see it had been broken before as there was a tissue paper wrapped around one of the posts that inserted in the top part of the chair in order for it to stay together. Nice... LOL Also, the insulation between the wooden walls is terrible! We were trying to sleep upstairs the first night & my dad was at the kitchen table and we could hear him not only eating but turning the pages of his newspaper! How crazy is that! Also, when we were in the jacuzzi, some family members told us they could hear our conversations outside. Oh & I hope you don't mind black ants because they had LOTS of those in the cottage where we were. They also had mice traps/box under the kitchen sink. The best part of it was how spacious it was & the outside jacuzzi. The sheets in the beds seemed very clean as well - thank God! Unfortunately we were VERY dissapointed and we will definately not be returning there in the future.

This was our third time staying at Blueberry and it is our last time!!!!! This place should be closed for business. It is overpriced and unacceptable!
The place is not maintained, the pool is filled with green/disgusting water, hot tubs don't work and are not cleaned or maintained! No employees present onsite or on phone or emails. They never reply to voice messages or their machines are no longer accepting voice messages and they never respond to emails. No one was onsite, the main registration office was closed the whole time we were there!! Wifi, did not work!
Just horrible and will warn people never stay there!

Dear Karen, Were are the new owners of the resort since august 2019. We are operating under the blueberry lake resort. While there are other rental management companies that are renting some houses, only our customers have access to the resort facilities like, sliding zone, snowshoeing trails, skating rink, kids playground during the winter and volleyball and tennis courts, swimming pool, kayaks, docks during the summer.

Hello Ejay, We are looking forward to welcoming you to Blueberry Lake. Unfortunately there is no shuttle bus to Tremblant. Best regards

Hi, Thanks for your question We have various models one of which is the Iroquois model. The resort is set in the woods so we do have our fair share of wildlife in the area. However all the houses that are booked through the official blueberrylake website have had a rodent control program in place, via an external contractor, for a few years now which has drastically reduced any chance of mice getting into the houses. I hope that helps you and I hope to see you at Blueberry regards Warren
Answer from
Hi AnaMontreal, Thanks for your question. I haven't seen the video that you are talking about, but we did have an incident recently where a customer brought to our attention an issue with the caulking in the bathrooms. The caulking was immediately replaced and an investigation launched into our internal processes to understand why this wasn't picked up by our own staff. That being said, we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our chalets and I think you will see from our reviews that this is an area that our guests appreciate. We have also started on a program of renovations on the chalets. We are replacing the carpet floors in the basement with wood flooring - either hardwood, laminate or a commercial vinyl which is particularly good - as well as repainting. While I am confident that you will find that all of our chalets are exceptionally clean, if you do have allergy issues and wanted to be extra sure, I would suggest that you request one of our updated chalets. There is no extra charge although as we are just starting this program, their numbers are limited. I hope that helps. Best regards, Alex
