The Admiral Hotel Copenhagen comes highly regarded for its cleanliness and stylish ambiance, drawing inspiration from traditional Danish design. Many guests commend the hotel's prime location, which is conveniently close to key attractions and transport links. While the rooms are often celebrated for their comfort and aesthetics, some visitors mention they can be on the smaller side and occasionally noisy. Service is generally applauded for being attentive and professional, though there are rare mentions of oversight. Travelers, however, regularly consider the hotel overpriced, especially when evaluating the cost against the provided amenities and services.

First class experience all round. I’ve stayed in Copenhagen a number of times but this was my first stay at the Admiral Hotel. Location is excellent, on the waterfront and a couple of minutes stroll to both Nyhavn and the Palace. Service was friendly and accommodating. We had booked to nights in a loft room which has a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs. The sofa bed would be fine for young children but not for our teenage daughters. I asked to move to two adjoining double rooms for the second night, which the check in staff sorted immediately. The rooms themselves are modern, and a good size. We had a water view which was great. All in all I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay again. Thanks for making our trip such a great experience

Dear Stewart G, Thank you for your kind words and feedback! We are delighted to hear that you had a first-class experience during your stay at the Admiral Hotel. Our location is definitely one of the highlights, offering easy access to popular landmarks such as Nyhavn and the Palace. We appreciate your recognition of our friendly and accommodating service. It is our priority to ensure that our guests feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout their stay. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the sofa bed not being suitable for your teenage daughters, but we are glad that our check-in staff was able to promptly arrange adjoining double rooms for you on the second night. We take pride in our modern and spacious rooms, and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the water view from your room. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we would be more than happy to welcome you back for another great experience in the future. Thank you for choosing the Admiral Hotel, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon. Kind Regards, Yuliana Guest Relations Manager

I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday and since I was travelling with my son, had requested a twin room, which was okay. The building has magnificent old wooden beams throughout the hotel, but there was one enormous one right next to the bed where my son was sleeping and made access to the mini-bar and his bed from one side awkward. It was also low and on the way to the bathroom/door, I knocked my head on it.

The bathroom was okay with a good strong shower and great hot water, but I would have also liked to have had a bath as soaking after a long day out in the cold would have been nice. Also, water leaked out from the shower into the hall way. There were no bathrobes or slippers which I would have expected in a 4 star hotel. Also, on our first morning I noticed that the free body cleanser for use in the shower was not new and had already been used and there was only one small tube for two people.

Unfortunately the sound proofing was not great. Next door to us was a young couple with a baby who I could hear crying very loudly each night and on the Saturday night there was a lot of noise coming from the street.

I think the most disappointing thing was a general lack of facilities. The sauna was very small (I was told it holds about 4 people) and had to be booked in advance. Unfortunately it was fully booked when we tried to book it. There was no gym or swimming pool; again things I would expect in a 4 star hotel.

We did not eat in the restaurant as Euro 30 for a breakfast (which may have been very good) is just a ridiculous price. For such a large hotel, the lobby bar was small and was the only place to have a drink.

The location of the hotel is perfect and close to everything you would want to see as a tourist. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the check-in and check-out went smoothly,

Perhaps all 4 star hotels in Copenhagen are of a similar standard, I do not know, but I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the Admiral hotel, particularly as it was not cheap.

Upon arrival we had been upgraded to the Tower Suite,a fantastic surprise. The room is on the top floor and a narrow flight of stairs (take note if mobility is an issue!) into a dorma with windows on three sides, with a panoramic view of the waterfront. The room has a large, moveable flat screen tv, comfortable sofa and armchairs, coffee machine and kettle, good sized desk and chair, dressing space with large (very flattering!!) mirror and big, cosy bed. The bathroom is a lovely space with dimmable lights, a huge, fabulous bath that easily accommodated two, as well as a rain shower, supplied with fluffy white robes and slippers. Unfortunately, as perfect as the bathroom looked (and the bath was!) there wasn’t underfloor heating or a heated towel rail, this meant the floor was cold and we had damp towels for our morning shower from our luxurious soak from the evening before. Extra towels in the closet would’ve offset this.. although that’s not very environmentally friendly. We tried to eat in the Salt restaurant but (understandably) it was fully booked. So we had a drink in the Salt bar and ordered room service. I was slightly disappointed with the minimal drinks and snacks selection at the bar, but both the burger and moules frites were delicious (with many more moules than I could eat!!) when they were delivered to the room.
I would definitely recommend and return (keeping my fingers crossed die the upgrade again!!! 😬)

I had a 6 night stay at he Copenhagen Admiral Hotel and it was an amazing experience. The staff are quite friendly, I was upgraded to a larger queen sized room without asking. The interior design of the room is striking, with all heavy timber beams and columns that contrasts beautifully with the newly renovated interior. The furniture are also very nice Danish designs and the brass fittings are a great, classy touch. The bed is super soft, it was like sleeping on clouds. Great amenities as well including Bluetooth speakers for the bathroom, generous closet space, and coffee chairs and table. The hotel’s brick structure is also apparent inside in the hotel corridors.

The location is quite central, with Nyvhavn and the Little Mermaid statue just a few minutes away by foot. And of course, you are only a short 10-20 minute bike ride from every spot in central Copenhagen. I highly recommend renting a bike at Copenhagen Bikes bear Nyhavn.

I would definitely love to return to this hotel next time I’m in Copenhagen.

We stayed here for a long weekend over the New Year. The location is excellent, located a 1 minute walk from Amalienborg Palace and a 3-4 minute walk from Nyhavn. The metro runs from Copenhagen airport to a station about 10-15 minutes walk away, which makes an easy and inexpensive journey if you don’t have a lot to carry. The Little Mermaid statue is also walkable, along a lovely path along the harbour.
The hotel itself is a beautiful building overlooking the harbour. The reception area is beautifully finished with a number of friendly, multilingual staff ready to help. We arrived at the hotel at about 10AM expecting to store our bags until check in, however much to our delight our room was ready so were immediately checked in. We paid to upgrade to a room overlooking the harbour which was certainly worth it for the lovely view of the Opera House and the water.
The room itself was spotlessly clean and spacious with a charming decor. I think this was the first time we stayed in a hotel where the room looked as good as the pictures on the website! The bathroom was bright and, again, spotless. A cool feature was the Bluetooth speakers provided on the ceiling for playing music while you shower!
Good tea and coffee facilities, a safe, iron, hair dryer and a well stocked mini bar also provided. Also a smart TV with various channels, hotel information and the ability to cast content to it. Plenty of power outlets and USB sockets,
Air conditioning is good, although we found the room slightly too warm even at the lowest temperature, so we happily left the balcony door open which kept the room cool and we weren’t disturbed by any noise because of this.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept really well after long days of walking around the beautiful city. The sound proofing is excellent, we did not hear a sound from anywhere else in the hotel.
Our only experience of the restaurant was breakfast which was excellent and delicious, with a wide range of cooked and non cooked options available. We would have liked to eaten dinner in the restaurant but due to the New Years weekend it was fully booked up, but we ate and drank in the bar where the service and food were great.
Overall one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, lovely staff and a wonderful location. We’ll be back!

The hotel is an old harbour warehouse which was tastefully refurbished applying high quality Danish design. The location is central on the seafront with a great view over the harbour. You can jump into the water for a swim 30 meters from the hotel door! Staff is nice and friendly. Everything OK during our 3-night stay but misses on a few smaller details is the reason for giving "only" 4 out of 5 (safe not working at arrival and not repaired when we asked, room cleaning very late - i.e. afternoon)

The Admiral Hotel is in an excellent location just 15 minutes walk from the Little Mermaid and within walking distance of all the city's other major tourist attractions. It is in a quiet location situated on the water front with the best views from the rooms situated on the east of the building. The hotel is very clean and well run and the breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel if you are in Copenhagen.

On entering the hotel one is struck by the very interesting decor, stemming from the building's historic origins. The reception staff are extremely courteous and patient. The bedroom was tastefully decorated, with comfy seating and a desk and had adequate storage space for two people (maybe a a little bit small if you have bulky jackets or coats to hang), There was also a kettle and tea/coffee etc. The bathroom was well-equipped with easy to control shower taps etc. and good water pressure.
The hotel clearly strives to be eco-friendly, such as using fair trade toiletries. Very good and ample breakfast. It seemed to be the same every day; but you had lots to choose from to vary during your stay. The hotel was very well-located for the centre and major sights. The quay in front of the hotel leading up to the iconic mermaid was a great place for a walk, cycle or jog after a day of work.

This was our first visit to Copenhagen and our decision to stay at the Admiral Hotel made the stay memorable. I spent a great deal of time evaluating different locations to stay in Copenhagen and after our trip I would say the the location of the Admiral Hotel was perfect for our needs. I really appreciated that the hotel was located essentially a few minutes walk from Nyhavn, the harbor area, and Amalienborg, with the Stoget shopping street just a bit further away. The first three days of our trip we walked everywhere in the City, the 4th day we utlized the metro and explored destinations that were a little further out on the periphery. At night, the hotel was peaceful and quite which made for a good night's sleep. As you can see by the photographs of the hotel, the architecture on the exterior of the building is fantastic, and the design themes carries on into the common areas and the bedrooms. We were fortunate to receive a room upgrade and had a room on the 2nd floor facing the harbor, this was amazing and really enhanced our stay. While the room was cozy, it was extremely comfortable and included all the modern amenities. The small sitting area with couch and table was a perfect place to unwind and watch the boats coming and going on the waterway. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean with excellent shower pressure. A nice added touch was various lighting buttons that allowed you to control all of the lights from one location near the bed including a mood lighting option. The staff was excellent and checking in and checking out was smooth and efficient. I would not hesitate to stay at the Admiral Hotel again for our next visit to Copenhagen.
