Andromeda Resort is situated on the breathtaking hilltop of Agios Georgios in Chora, facing the Venetian Castle, just 200 metres from the main square where the picturesque windmills stand proud. The design of Andromeda Resort follows the traditional Aegean architecture, featuring white surfaces, curves and arches, wooden lattice balconies, and stone details. Its layout allows light and air to spread through all areas, so that guests may have a constant contact with the surrounding nature. The property houses 8 fully equipped apartments with elegant interiors, set out in three two-storey buildings, all with brightly coloured woodwork. The bright open living spaces are marked by the French doors that let in a ton of natural light and lead to the balconies that offer a stunning view of Chora, the Venetian Castle and the bay of Pera Gialos, as well as the nearby islets. The apartments can accommodate from 2 to 3 guests. The charming harbour of Pera Gialos, where one can enjoy a swim, or simply spend time on the waterfront at one of the cafes or restaurants, is less than 1km away, and at a distance of approximately 1.5km, one will find the scenic and well-organized beach of Livadi.

We picked this accommodation based on the great comments here, and guess what: it was exactly as everybody says! We stayed in the Corona room ( yes, despite the name) which is litterally on top of the Chora. The view was breathtaking, but not at the expense of the quality of the room ( as is often the case in the greek islands). The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, smelt great and with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in the islands!!! All the personnel is exceptionally kind, quick to respond and available, they offer wondeful breakfast to your room and take covid 19 precautions very seriously. One thing that they could maybe improve is the privacy on the balcony of the two adjoining top rooms ( maybe some leafy plant on the wooden partitioning?). I, however, have to add a little caution: in order to reach Andromeda and especially the corona room, if you dont have a vehicle or you dont want to use it ( e.g when you are going out for a meal and a drink in the Chora) you have to climb A LOT of steps! If you are not up to that ( I generally dont mind but I did find it an irritation occasionally), you should probably choose another accommodation ( maybe not in the Chora altogether). On the other hand its a great way to keep fit despite the copious amounts of delicious food you will most certainly consume on this beautiful island!

We had an amazing stay at Andromeda last August! All COVID protocols were complied with and we were impressed by the professionalism. The room was very clean, with a lot of space and the BEST views. Parking space was also a plus as parking is not so easy to find.
We really appreciated that Mrs Rena would and her son would bring a HUGE breakfast basket in our room every morning filled with local goodies! We were impressed to see that they challenging circumstances led them improve their service!

At departure we learned that this resort was already 12 years old. Looking at the state of the rooms, you can only think that it is brand new. The very friendly owner, Irini, told us that she uses every spring for full maintenance. It is difficult to give only a 10 for this property, it should have been at least a 10+.

The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The room has a very good vibe and very good combination of traditional/modern island aesthetics. The estate is located in only 2 minutes walk from Chora, with great facilities and delicious breakfast and a very welcoming and always eager to assist host!!! Highly recommended!!!

It’s the fifth time we visit Andromeda resort and we will keep coming back. This hotel is a real gem in the island of Astipalia. We always take the same room with a beautiful view over the town and the castle. The room is always spotless clean, with a window right in front of the bed, which allows the nice breeze to come in every night, no need to turn on the AC at all. The bed has a very comfortable mattress. The amenities are amazing with everything that someone needs to be comfortable. The breakfast is a state of the art, every day something special prepared by the cook, with fresh Greek yogurt, lots of fruits, local Greek products, honey, and every day freshly made omelette. But above all we keep coming back because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the owner and the staff, who welcome us back us family. I can’t say enough to recommend this place for your summer holidays.

We loved our stay at Andromeda, the room are spacious and clean but the best thing is the view of the Chora from a lovely balcony. We stayed at Corona at the top floor - highly recommended. We hired a car and we parked it just outside our room. To reach the Chora there is a staircase that from the hotel takes you straight there. One of the best thing of Andromeda is the hospitality from the owner Irini. She made us feel very welcome and was always happy to help with anything we needed. She cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning - every day something different and delicious. If was more a lunch than a breakfast! She picked up from airport and took us back there and waited with us until we were sure the plane was there. Thank you so much Irini! We highly recommend Andromeda Resort.

This is a magnificent establishment ran by a fantastic lady (Mrs Rena) and her family. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, the room was elegant and comfortable, daily cleaned by a staff of excellent ladies, the breakfast was homemade and changing every day. One of the best stays we had ever in Greece! If we go again to Astypalaia, we will definitely stay in Andromeda. Thank you Mrs Rena!

The room was extremely cozy. We loved having a charming balcony with a breathtaking view of Chora; it was like a dream to sit outside and gaze at the castle and sunrise. Our host, Rena, was exceptional. She met us at the port, offered advice on the island's best beaches, helped us arrange a car rental, and was always on hand. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of options that varied daily, including cheese pies, cakes, omelets, Greek delicacies, and more. Having such a wonderful host made the experience so special… when we left she gave us a gift: local honey and local sea salt! Thank you Rena! I will definitely be back at Andromeda Resort next time I come to Astypalaia.

Andromeda resort was absolutely perfect. Room was clean, spacious and the view is spectacular. It might be the best in the island. Mrs Eirini was very, very kind and friendly, as was her son Giorgos who provided us with all the information we needed about the island and our stay there. Breakfast was delicious and is brought to every room at an agreed time. Perfect way to start your day. Room was cleaned each day, and new towels were provided daily. Excellent host, excellent room 10/10

First of all it is the most clean resort we ever stay. The view just cannot be described!!! The resort itself is beautiful!!! The accommodation just excellent. Breakfast super!!! Beds super!!! location excellent. Support by owners super!!. Irini and George are just unique always ready to help you and advise you. I forgot to say about the decoration of Andromeda which is just fabulous!!! Bravo.
