My wife and I booked 3 nights at the Willowbend cabins. The location is a short walk to the amenities of Maple Creek and an easy drive to downhill skiing at Hidden Valley AB and cross-country ski trails at Cypress Hills Prov Park SK.
The owners Joan and Darcy were really friendly and ready to help you in any way. Saturday morning after a snowfall, Darcy blew the snow off our truck. That was nice,as were the two cold beers in the fridge for us!
The cabin was spotless and well equipped with all the kitchen things you would need, Wi-Fi and lots of movie channels. The bedroom had a very comfortable queen bed. The bathroom had a shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure.

My wife and I stayed here for the Canada Day long weekend to test out our new-to-us motorhome. The owners of the campground were fantastic! Very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They came to check on us after we got set up to see if we needed anything. The picnic tables are plastic so provide wooden boards to put under your stove. This is listed in the rules, so I asked what time the office would be open in the morning to pick one up. Well, when I woke up the next morning they had already dropped one off so it was ready for us to make breakfast! The washrooms and shower were very clean. Yes trains pass through a few times per day and once or twice in the night, but that can’t be helped given the location of the tracks (no fault to the campground). Full hookup was great, including sewer so we could learn to use the hose set up without the pressure of a lineup at a dump station. As first time motorhome owners this was the perfect spot to test out or rig for 3 nights to get a feel for it.

My wife and I stayed in one of their cabins while we visited Cypress Hills for a five day holiday. The cabin was fantastic. Modern and very clean. Walking distance to all types of restaurants and shops. The owners were fantastic! So very helpful and friendly. All of that overrides the sound of trains on a nearby track - but after a while you really don’t notice or hear them. Would definite stay there if we visited the area in the future.

I really liked this park! New owners since Oct 22. Our 42' motorcoach had tons of room in a pull through. Site was level gravel with plenty of space to maneuver. Quite downtown in easy walking distance. The only concern that one might have is railroad tracks nearby. Easy off interstate. I enjoyed walking Otis our springer around the park and downtown. Two thumbs up from me.......and Otis.

Not bad of a place but not as beautiful as the photo. You drive in to meet a crude hand written sign and buildings that could use a lick of paint. Flowers around the office are nice. Shower building clean inside but needs painted outside. Half a days work with a roller. Recycle box the same. Picnic shelters need some work-again paint as I did not see inside. The outside is off putting.
Could be a gem but in need of TLC.

Great Campground with really nice amenities and the owners are just fantastic. Very well located so you can walk and see the entire town. Maple Creek is such a beautiful little town well worth the stop. The Campground is very well kept and the sites are nice. If you are camping they have a couple of cook houses.

The most common negative comment on Google is the train noise so if your a light sleeper that will be an issue for you. It was not for us. The campground is actually quite nice run by very nice people. Unfortunately there was a group that drank, yelled and fought until 2am. The only option seemed to be to have to call the office and have them come deal with it. I would prefer that there was better monitoring so as not to force the guests to have to. To the owners credit they did refund us our money. I would return but would hope that the operators would be more proactive. It is a shame that one group of "more money than sense" types where allowed to ruin a nights sleep.

We stayed here may long weekend. Great place. Free wifi in town so it's lose to everything. Free showers and flush toilets. We tented and it was 10.00/night plus 3.00 a person. So very inexpensive and worth it.

The staff were really accommodating despite us arriving late in the evening! The campsite was perfect for what we needed, easy to find and conveniently located. The washrooms were clean and met our needs. The railway track is pretty close so a little noisy sometimes.
