Massive compliments to all the team here, who are all very extremely friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed the 3 days we spent here.
The rooms are lovely, impeccably clean & spacious, note forgetting the spectacular breath-taking, exceptional & enchanting views, our room was overlooking directly on to the Gulf of Naples.
Breakfast was delicious. The tray includes meat, cheese, fruit, and jam. You also get a smoothie, muesli, and a basket of breads and other yummy bakery treats. You can also order off a menu including chocolate filled crepes and egg dishes. So tasty and on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples.
We didn't have the chance to have dinner as we were out most of the day and would return to the hotel already filled, and just ready for our super comfy large bed after long walks around beautiful Sorrento with so many good restaurants with great Italian food.
Wi-Fi is nice and fast, the room also came with a Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker, this was EPIC as I love music especially at the end of the day listening to some relaxing music is a plus for me
This extraordinary hotel deserves all the superlatives. it is a a small, beautiful villa with views to forever last in our memories, we shall definitely be back!!
Thank you for the amazing hospitality.
Personal and relaxed service. The rooms all have a FANTASTIC view over the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius, Sorrento and the coast. The furnishing of the room was the second sensation. Casual and tasteful furniture, on the walls pictures of Anselm Kiefer and Christo. We've never had such a great room! Fantastic bath products by Ortigia "Fico d'India".
The same style in the public area and on the large terrace: furniture, art, ceramics, well-stocked library (actually the best I've ever seen in a hotel) - high quality and very tasteful. And again this view!
The path leads over hundreds of steps downhill a cultivated "Garden Eden" with terraces (again everywhere best ceramics), a small pool to the fishing village of Marina Grande with its small restaurants right on the waterfront.
I often think back to La Minervetta and hope to revisit this tasteful house again…
The staff were the friendliest people, so kind to us and answered all of our questions as best as they could. I was in Sorrento celebrating my 40th birthday with one of my close friends, but not only did they bring us champagne to our room, on the morning of my birthday, they brought me a little cake and sung happy birthday to me at breakfast. It was the sweetest thing any hotel has ever done for me. I hate even using the word hotel, because the staff treated us like family.
Breakfast each morning was phenomenal, the fresh bread and mozzarella, I'd like to add i'm still thinking about both of these things a week later while at home. The breakfast spread was vast with options for everyone.
In relation to location, the hotel was just outside of Sorrento but a very easy 10-15 min walk. No hills, or stairs. The hotel decor was the cutest, it was like a cross between Anthropologie meets Nautical. So cute, with the tiniest of details, nothing was overlooked in this hotel. The room was fantastic - the only suggestion I would make is maybe having some blankets in the room. We spent a bit of time just hanging out in the chairs in the room looking at our view, and we had the windows open, the only thing that would have made it perfect were some blankets :) We of course were there during the coldest March they've ever had.
I will for sure be back at some point during the actual season to take advantage of the pool and beach access. I can't say enough about this hotel and how great it was!
Every night there is a buffet of hors d'oeuvres that set the tone every night. Our corner room faced Mt Vesuvius and overlooked the bay and fishing village. It’s by far the most romantic setting we have seen
The breakfast is great. Cooked to order with at least 30 other selections
As Americans we felt at home but enjoyed the Italian hospitality
There’s not much more to say other than it’s hard to improve on perfection
Looking forward to many return trips
Do yourself and your better half a favor... book a stay here.. you will not be disappointed
Chao for now
The ZENKERS
The breakfast is spectacular and the staff is very professional, but also warm-hearted friendly and willing to support and help with whatever your heart desires. We loved it and hope we can come back and then also enjoy the terrace and sunshine on the Amalfi coast. This hotel can serve as an example and training ground for many of the so called 5 star hotels....
If you have the chance, its worth the extra money....
You have direct access to the beach, a nice pool/jacuzzi.
The hotel is full of very interesting coffee table books. Many of Assouline and similar quality. So you can spend a good time relaxing with those books in front of those views.
The included buffet breakfast is delicious. Great products usually you don’t find in buffets as pure peanut butter, gojis. You can select any type of coffee, a professionally made cup. I got espressos, cappuccinos and americanos, all great. For my taste, the only thing they didn’t have are good quality sourdough whole grain breads.
In the rooms you even have a Dyson hair dryer and a B&O speaker. If they decide to put a €400 hairdryer instead of the €35 usual hair dryer is that they care about the details.
One last feedback is the prices of the beverages at moments different than the breakfast. An espresso for €7 is something I have never seen in my entire life. That is really exaggerated.
To end, the service was great. Thanks to Floriana, Marco, Sophia… all super nice. I just hope to get back there someday.
The lanes and square are easy to walk too from La Minervetta and they have a stairway down to the Port. The breakfast is served outside soaking in all the wonderful views.
I hope to visit again as this hotel as its one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, it’s small and intimate that just adds to its charm. 100% recommended. Thanks for a wonderful stay for my birthday trip.
Capri, Pompeii and Positano all easily visited by local public transport.
