This is a very charming place, small but well equipped. We choose to upgrade our room as we were staying for 4 days, glad we did. Room was a nice size, had 2 big comfy chairs, tv, desk, king sized bed, large dresser and a closet. Bathroom is small but had everything you need including multiple setting jets in the shower. Our view was across the park to the boardwalk. This hotel is perfectly situated, walking distance to everything and yet on a quiet one way street, virtually no traffic noise. They offer valet parking, it’s $25 a day but worth it as parking and driving in old port is tough, we parked the car and didn’t use it for 4 days as we could walk to everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was a continental style and served on a tray so you can take it to your room, during covid it’s a nice safe option and since the room was large it was a comfortable place to have breakfast. Breakfast was a surprise, hard boiled egg, fresh croissants, jam, yoghurt, grapes, cheese and a danish. The coffee centre offers 24 hour free coffee, cappuccino, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, teas and fresh juices. They also have a wine dispensary in the small lobby, it’s $6.95 a glass, restaurants close by were charging $12-13 for the same size servings. There is no fridge in the room but an ice bucket with free ice in the basement where there is a small vending machine with chips and snacks. The lobby had a tray of croissants and danishes available all day, no charge. We were very happy here

Charming hotel in a row of old houses right behind the Chateau Frontenac. Our room had a view over the park and, through the trees, to the river. It was quiet, beautifully cool in the midst of a heatwave and very tastefully decorated. There was tons of storage space and, not always the case in hotels, lots of lights and electrical outlets. Service at the front desk was efficient and very friendly. A nice box breakfast was provided free of charge and wi-fi was free as well. Only issue was you needed a doctorate in plumbing or hydraulics to figure out how the shower worked. We had to get help. Also, our room being at the very end, hot water took quite a while to arrive, but when it did it was hot. Overall, a lovely hotel in a great location at a fraction of the price for the Chateau almost next door, where we did have a superb meal one evening – a five minute walk.

We stayed for 2 nights in September, 2022. The hotel is a smaller, boutique hotel, just steps away (across a small park) from the Chateau Frontenac. Everything is walkable. The car was taken away by a valet and we had no need for it for the duration of our stay. Our room was lovely, with a king bed, on the 2nd floor, overlooking the park. I think ours was one of the larger rooms - peeking inside other open doors, many looked smaller. The room was very clean with all the amenities that you would ever need, including a small fridge as well as 2 easy chairs. The bed was king size and comfortable. The windows cranked open and there were screens on them to let in the fresh air and birdsong. The hotel was booked right up when we were there, so the reception and breakfast area got a little crowded at times. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed for $25/dog/night. It was a bit of a splurge to stay here, but so very worth it for the ambiance and the convenience of being steps away from the Terrasse Dufferin, the Old Town, and Lower Town.

Location is wonderful, next to Château Frontenac. The main attractions are within walking-distance. Breakfast is not included, but there is a free coffee machine in the lobby. The only problem was: the elevator never works! My room was on the third floor and I had to go up with two heavy suitcases. The room is veryyyy small, appropriate for one or two people only. There is no microwave or mini fridge. They gave a cupom with discount in a few stores and restaurants. Free wifi available in the room.

I got really disappointed with the elevator stuff. From what I noticed, it happens frequently. Many people were complaining about it online.

This was a birthday celebration. We let the hotel know this ahead of time when we made our reservation and then again in a follow up phone call. We requested and paid for a Prestige Room. We had seen reviews on here so we asked for one on the 3rd floor with a view and a therapeutic tub. We were given a room on the 2nd floor that smelled musty upon entering. The bathroom trash can had a wrapper from a sanitary napkin in it. The bed looked as though someone had already sat on it. Our television needed rebooting and the tub was junk! (very small, old tub with jets on the bottom, one was broken and rusted). No view! We went down to ask to be moved, but were told that they were sold out. The receptionist who came up to reboot our television told us we could go to the Chateau Frontenac if we wanted a better room! No offer to make any accommodations to us (like an offer to move us for the next night, which was a Sunday) to one of the nicer rooms we had thought we were booking. Or perhaps she could have offered us a glass of wine or SOMETHING for the let down! We expected better. The location is fabulous and the valet parking was a plus (although you pay for that too and no offer to waive the fee when we expressed disappointment. We travel a lot of generally choose boutique hotels for the special service one receives. Don't expect it at this place. Go to the Hilton a few blocks away if you want to get what you pay for (or you could go to the Chateau Frontenac, as the receptionist suggested, if your wallet allows). These people are in no way accommodating.

Just completed a memorable five night stay at Hotel Chateau Bellevue and would definitely return. Great value, and the location can’t be beat. The hotel is on a beautiful, quiet street directly across from a park that is a national historic site facing the St. Lawrence River. The landmark Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is adjacent, and the property is a block or two away in either direction from the restaurants and attractions of Old Quebec and many other beautiful and historic sites. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable. My only complaint is that the room was not cleaned for the entire stay, so if you book, be sure to request housekeeping services during your stay!

First, the location is perfect! So central to Old Quebec & only steps from the famous Chateau Frontenac. Parking is a bit challenging, fortunately the hotel offers a valet service (no charge with some packages). The bilingual front desk staff were great. We had booked the Bellevue Prestige room and were not disappointed. It was spacious with a king bed & large bathroom as well as a sitting area. The room was on the main level near the front desk so we were a liitle nervous about the potential for noise, but it wasn't an issue. The view from our room was excellent, the St. Lawrence river in the background & the historic Govenor's Garden park across the street. The hotel offers free WiFi, a decent continental breakfast, 15% off various nearby restaurants & a free coffee machine that makes everything from espresso to cafe latte's! Highly recommend this Hotel when staying in Old Quebec.
Note: the shower is a stand alone corner unit, so it's a bit snug.

Location is nearby Hotel Chateau Frontenac and a park sits right in front of the hotel and looks out on the St. Lawrence River. Easy walking to all the sites, restaurants, etc.

Reception very welcoming and attentive and location is nice and quiet.

We had a king bed room which was large but our friends had a standard double which was a bit small. Nonetheless, hotel is clean and friendly.

Breakfast (included in our room pkg) was a bit basic. Hotel offers free coffee/tea/juices 24/7 in the lobby.

Nice place to stay overall.

Bonjour Sorry for the delay, responding to your question. Yes, you must pay the fee, even if your dog is very small. The fee covers a special cleaning to ensure our next guest that could be allergic to dogs could stay in the room and be very comfortable. We now have a partnership with Toutourisme upon presentation of your Toutourisme membership, we will waive the extra charge. Our location is ideal facing a nice park where you may walk your dog. We look forward to welcome you.
