To start, the location is excellent for access to monuments, museums, shops and restaurants.

Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated with excellent lighting and amenities including a safe, mini-bar, coffee/tea service, hair dryer, bidet, washing clothes (so many hotel rooms to not provide wash clothes!) and a VERY comfortable bed. Our room over looked the frontage street which made for great people watching but also a bit noisy for people not accoustomed to street noise.

The hotel restaurant and bar had innovative regional foods and cocktails.
The morning breakfast was fantastic.

Service throughout the establishment was excellent. We would definitely stay at this property again if your travels take us back to Madrid.

Dear Molly, Thank you very much for taking a few minutes and sharing your experience with us. The Regina Hotel has an ideal location to get to know the city near the main museums, monuments, theaters or markets. In addition, our rooms have been recently refurbished to offer our clients all the necessary comforts so that they can feel at home, without forgetting comfortable mattresses to offer them the best rest. At the Restaurant can enjoy the best dishes of the Mediterranean diet, in addition to having a special discount for being customers if they ask for a la carte lunch and dinner. Every morning we serve a buffet breakfast with the best variety of fresh fruit, freshly baked cakes. For that and much more we thank you for trusting us for your stay and when you want to come back here we will wait for you because you will always be welcome. Best regards, Cristina Redondo. The best of both worlds here. The architectural charm of a bygone era fused with sleek, ultra modern rooms. I stayed here for three nights and couldn’t be happier with my decision. The hotel location is right in the heart of central Madrid, just steps from Puerta del Sol - although once inside the hotel and my room I heard absolutely zero external noise. The ‘big three’ museums are no more than a 20 minute walk. Tons of restaurants and cafes are just steps away. Public transport/Metro stations are a stone’s throw away. The buffet breakfast was fantastic! Yogurts, fresh fruit, tortillas, sandwiches, eggs, breakfast meats, hot sausages, a variety of cheeses, breads, pastries, juices, teas, coffee and more. Service is impeccable from the front desk to the dining staff to housekeeping - professional, friendly and attentive. Excellent value for your money. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

If you are going to madrid stay here the hotel staff are superb breakfast is excellent and location is perfect.
We got upgrade to room 213 as a birthday treat by hotel with complimentary water and fruit which was a nice touch.
Any staff member you speak to where always polite and helpful so the manager needs to thank all staff members as they were all great.
The room we stayed in 213 had electric shutters so when your ready for bed one switch and you are in complete darkness it was a struggle to awake though as beds were really comfortable and the darkness slightly bewildered us.
Whilst in Madrid we used metro which is right outside hotel and easy to use and taxis which we thought were good value.
Nice rooftop bar 5 minute walk from hotel and only 5 euro entry.

This is our 5th stay at the Regina and it never disappoints. Every tine we go it has been updated a bit more, the bar and restaurant is now complete and offers a great ‘end of evening drink’ or something if you are hungry and too tired to go out. A bottle of wine is €20 (fantastic value) and the rooms are modern, funky and very comfortable. It’s located only a few minutes from Sol and Plaza Mayor which makes it ideal for a stroll and trips out. Highly recommended.

We have just stayed here for 3 nights, everything was excellent from check in too departure ! The staff are well presented and very professional, rooms are spotless and housekeeping is extremely professional. Breakfast is served with all precautions given the current situation with Covid with plenty of choice both hot and cold. The location is excellent for all amenities , lots in walking distance. Highly recommend and would also say it’s more like a 4 star.

This is a very special place. At Hotel Regina all the staff are friendly and have the gift of making you feel valued. We were there for a 5-day working trip and it was sheer bliss to come back to our room and freshen up before going out to dinner. Centrally located, the interior design is exremely pleasant, successfully seperating the differing communal areas, reception, bar and restaurant. Attractive feature wall decorations give way to parquet flooring and immaculately maintained decoration. Our room was large, the bed felt like new as did the linen. In ample luxury, we slept like tops. Breakfast is a wonderful mixture of a large and varied buffet with delicious hots and colds from which to choose and the contageous atmosphere of happy travellers. We are already planning our return.

Stayed here on a four night stay in beautiful Madrid with the Missus and found this to be a most wonderful hotel to base yourself for a break to this city.

We had requested a disabled access room as my wife has to use a wheelchair sometimes due to MS, and the room provided was one the better ones we have came across on our travels. Nice clean spacious room, with two seperate bathrooms, one of which had all the accessible amenities like wetroom shower, lower level sinks, toilet with handrail, hair dryer etc. Plenty of cupboard space, a free safe (and easy to operate) to use, tea, coffee making facilities and plenty of complimentary toiletries. There was a daily maid service too.

We never used the restaurant or bar during our stay as there were much better and cheaper options all around this hotel we felt, but the breakfast was pretty perfect with lots of hot and cold options available to set you up for your day of exploring. Which brings me to my next point. Location. It is absolutely perfect. Literally on the doorstep of Puerto del Sol, all the main tourist attractions are pretty much close by like the Prado Museam, Plaza Mayor, San Migual Market ,the Palace are within easy walking distance. Absolutely perfectly positioned for the tourist travellers.

Final word goes to the staff. The are simply amazing. from the Reception staff, the breakfast staff, Managers and the Maids.....they were all incrediably friendly and helpful. In fact, on one of our walks around Madrid, a part my wife's wheelchair broke off. We were close to the hotel, so decided to head back there and see if they could give tools to fix it. The Manager at reception took the part away and fixed it for me in a matter of minutes, for which we will always be grateful as our trip could have ended in disaster. So thanks again for helping us out.

When we come back to Madrid, we will definelty come back here to stay. Perfect Location, perfect staff.

Hotel Regina had excellent customer service on staff who were very helpful with whatever we needed. They were friendly, helped us arrange our return trip home COVID test, print off our results, and arranged a taxi. The rooms are very clean and luxurious. We stayed at a top floor room with a terrace and hot tub. Unfortunately, we had difficulty with our hot tub drain plug not sealing shut, so the tub would not fill. However, we notified the front desk, and they were able to get a new plug swapped out fairly quickly that same night. The hotel breakfast is very nice with a huge amount of options to eat each morning. The elevator is a bit slow and small and there was only one to the 6th floor, so we did have to wait for several minutes many times. We would not have minded taking the stairs, but there are some floors undergoing construction, so we could not find a way via the stairs. The location is an easy walk to Puerta del Sol and probably about a mile to our favorite hangout neighborhood for bars and tapas, La Latina

Booked this hotel for a short city break with my wife. The check in was quick and easy. We really liked the touch, where a member of reception took us to our room and showed us around ,explained the heating controls etc. A nice personal touch. The room was great and the bathroom amazing and modern. It would have been nice to have a view that wasn’t the light well, but I suppose that would have meant booking a room that was of a higher standard. The bar was good and well stocked, the bar staff were friendly, attentive and free with the measures :)
We didn’t eat in the hotel ,but the restaurant area was always busy, with quite a few customers not appearing to be hotel guests. We did have the included breakfast. There was the usual mix of continental, and cooked. I’ve had better, but I’ve had a lot worse as well. Overall the breakfast was good.

The other thing about this hotel is it’s location. It is very central and a very short walk from Sol plaza. All the restaurants we used were a short walk away.

Throughly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again.

The Hotel Regina is located right in the center of the historic district of Madrid. You can walk almost everywhere in 5-20 minutes. If walking isn't your thing, it is very close to several metro stops. The hotel was great. The room was spacious and very clean. We stayed in a premium room with a view. The windows can be opened and we really enjoyed the fresh air. The staff at the Regina were amazing. Very courteous, accommodating, friendly and very helpful.
