Excellent staff, from the reception (Claudia) to the barmen. The steak that I had one ordered one evening was outstanding and room service quick and efficient. The room itself was very comfortable with all modern amenities and tech-enabled. Finally, the location of the hotel is marvellous as all points of interest are a short distance away. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to most of the attractions. The main problem with this hotel is the noise from the streets. There is currently lots of building works taking place and even though we were staying in a 6th floor room it was impossible to sleep. In addition the mattress on the bed was uneven and not at all comfortable. The bar area and the general areas of the hotel are pleasant and the bathrooms very tastefully done with a great shower. I feel that the hotel should have warned guests of the noise issue at the time of booking.

We spent 15 days at this hotel last week of december and first week of january 2022. We were supposed to leave on January 2nd but tested positive for covid and had to stay quaranteen in the room for extra 9 days until we tested negative. The first week we enjoyed good customer service, nice room , good location and very good breakfast but it was after we were in quaranteen that we really got to know the people that worked there. This is the only time we've had covid and the first time we had to stay in a room without been able to got outside. The hotel staff went beyond customer service , they were there for us 24/7 like family. No matter at what time we called they responded and brought to us whatever we asked for in matter of minutes. They all kept the social distance and follow the rules but were always very simpatetic and treated us with respect and always found a way to leave things in the hall for us without compromising their social distance or covid protocols. This hotel does NOT deserve any stars!!! Due to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus, there is a travel ban for Europe from the USA and other countries. As a result, we are unable to take our dream vacation. I contacted the hotel several times requesting a refund or a credit and despite of the increasing cases and deaths in Spain, the agent by the name of Maurico Moreira told me that the booking conditions are restricted and cannot be amended or canceled without full penalty.The hotel's management/sales agents are very callous, have no compassion or empathy for their guests!! They are NOT willing to offer any solution despite what is happening but just to take our money and quote their policy. They also denied the requests made by our Travel Agent. Other hotels and the airlines are working along with millions of other travelers to provide credits and vouchers because they understand that everything that is happening is beyond anyone's control. They should be ashamed of the standards being portrayed!!!

Hotel was excellent for a weekend in Madrid. The hotel seems like it has recently been renovated and most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Loads of restaurants and facilities nearby as well as a nice park if you like to walk or run. Room was very nice and a great size. One of the biggest rooms I have stayed in, especially in the centre of Madrid. Windows of the room were dated and I could hear a lot of noise even being on the 8th floor. Maybe they forgot to refurb these. We asked for another room but the hotel was too busy. The only option we got was the same room on floor 2 which I was told would be noisier. Room amenities were excellent though. They had Rituals products in the bathroom as well as bath robes and slippers and minibar was also well stocked. This hotel also has a sauna and a gym. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip in Madrid

The hotel looks very bland on the outside but inside it was completely different. The reception and communal areas were very smart. I had a 2nd floor room facing the road and so if you are choosing this hotel then insist on having a room facing AWAY from the road. The secondary glazing did not do its job very well at all.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Melia Madrid Princesa; we checked in with a large group, and the check-in process was very efficient - we were simply handed an envelope that contained our keys. The 3 elevators are quite small and creaky and at times we feared they wouldn't complete their journey! The room is well appointed with comfortable beds, crisp linens and a spacious bathroom. A small sitting area includes a desk, table and 2 chairs; however since the floors are wood and not carpeted we could hear the furniture legs scraping in the room above us. Felt pads should be added to the legs on all furnishings. The breakfast room was quite spacious with several serving stations and a nice variety of hot and cold foods. The coffee maker was slow since it utilized pods which kept getting stuck in the machine. The staff seemed well aware of the problem, and yet it recurred every day. The location of the hotel was perfect in terms of accessing the main parks and monuments and touristed sites. We could see the Palace and Cathedral from our window!

I have returned to this hotel since their major refurbishment and the hotel looks and feels great. The LEVEL lounge is now twice the size and over two floors. The food and drink offerings are outstanding and the times to access the lounge are very generous indeed. My check-in procedure made me feel welcome and special and the LEVEL staff were fabulous throughout. My room 1214 has what must be one of the best views of Madrid with stunning sunrises and panoramic day and night time views. The hotels location is a two minute walk to the metro on line 3 and proved extremely convenient for daily adventures and ease to and from the airport.

Unfortunately a rather disappointing stay at the Melia Pincesa which does not deserve 5 star status. The lobby was polished and staff professional, however the rooms were dated and small, with loud noises consistently audible above our bedroom ceiling. The booking page also does not make clear there is an additional charge per person per day for the pool and spa facilities which feels a bit cheap for a 5 star we paid so much for already. Overall our experience was that of a 3 star and I would dissuade anyone from staying here.

I am tour leader with 20 person, check in 22 May 2022 and check out 24 May 2022 early morning
When I check in on Sunday 22 May 2022 I request to the reception for my group for box breakfast because we check out early morning by 06.30 to the airport Madird. And reception said is free as the restaurant still closed by the time we check out.
Then the next day, 23 May when I came back to the hotel by 9pm I asked again,. and again according the staff is no charge for box breakfast.
24 May 2022 morning, we have 2 sandwiches, and each sandwich wrapping by alumunium foil, one small orange juice, one apple put in brown paper bag.
According to me that box breakfast which is NOT PROPERLY compare with entitled 5 star hotel.
When I come home, suddenly I was charged that I have to pay Euro 10 per person for that ridiculous box breakfast,
This is my first experience for box breakfast have to pay during 35 years experience tour leader.
I will not recommend to the other tour leader not to stay this hotel, beside difficult for the bus to drop the luggages either.

Cant remember seeing Vegan options in the menu. Staff are helpful. Safe for children, but children can’t use the pool which we were disappointed with. Also need to make appointment for pool usage which is unheard of anywhere else
There are more places to choose from in the Madrid area.
