Nestled in the Gothic Quarter, Petit Palace Boqueria Garden is often celebrated for its attentive service and inviting atmosphere, complete with tranquil gardens that meld modernity with history. While the central location near Las Ramblas is a hit among guests for its convenience, reviews of the rooms are mixed, with some finding them spacious yet others pointing out maintenance shortcomings. Cleanliness generally meets expectations, though housekeeping timing can be off. Amenities like the varied breakfast are well-received, but opinions on value diverge, suggesting the experience may not always align with the hotel's pricing.

We visited here on 19th January and were delighted with everything. The room was spotless and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Little samples of toiletries were left in our room each morning and tea/coffee sachets were refilled. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was perfect. In fact much better than some local restaurants. The garden is beautiful. It is a quiet location even though it is central to all the important sights. We loved it and will definitely go back again.

I totally agree that our centennial garden is beautiful! All the species and trees are cataloged and it is a unique romantic and secret garden within our neighbourhood! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. It has been a great pleasure to host you in Barcelona and we look forward to welcoming you again at Petit Palace Boquería Garden very soon. Where do I start..... Just as the sea ports and cities all around Europe were shutting down from the corona virus, a group of 19 of us were checking into this beautiful hotel for the final three days of our 14 day Mediterranean vacation. Check-in was very smooth and helpful knowing we might have to fly out early. Alicia Trullén, the General Manager happily approved early departures without penalty if we needed to. It only got better from there. The service from the front desk to the indoor/outdoor dining area as well as the bar and the amazing breakfast buffet with freshly made 'a la carte options was spectacular. All of this support while the city around us was starting to shut down... It was eerie.
Alicia and her staff never complained. They prided themselves in helping such a large group of us along with other guests at the hotel. I kept thinking to myself that the staff must surely want to be home with family during this time of uncertainty.
The outdoor sitting area is very inviting with comfy lounge chairs, umbrellas, heaters, plants and a TV. There is even a large "secret" garden area above that was beautiful for taking pictures and expansive enough to host a wedding.
The Breakfast buffet was beyond my understanding of how they could provide such a fresh variety of hot foods, fruits, breads, pastries and juices along with custom made omelettes and other things "a la carte. The location of the hotel made it easy for us to walk to several great tourist spots including the beach and the local market (Mercat de la Barceloneta) which was incredible as well.
Did I mention the rooms? The beds are comfortable and the the rooms are spacious. They have rooms that comfortable accommodate up to 4 people as well. The people of Spain are tremendous and the staff along with Alicia managing this hotel are incredible. You cant go wrong staying here.

Dear Mr. Crandell, WOOW!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful review and for sharing your recent experience with us at Petit Palace Boquería Garden! It was such a pleasure meeting you all. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our spacious rooms, your beds, our friendly staff, the outdoor Courtyard & Mediterrace Garden Restaurant and our healthy breakfast buffet with all the complimentary "A la Carte" options in the mornings. We also had a blast with all of you. What a fun group! It was a shame that you could only stay for 3 nights with us…. and what a pitty that suddenly things in Barcelona started to shut down during the last weekend of your trip. You might have to tell your daughter to consider coming back and celebrating their wedding with us at our centennial garden! We will definetely look forward to welcoming you back next time your travel plans bring you to Barcelona. I am sure you will be able to see the Sagrada Familia in your next visit! Now the only important thing for us is that your family and all your friends in the US are well and healthy. We keep in touch and please say hi to all of them! Just came back from a 3 night stay here.
Lovely little hotel just off las ramblas.
Opposite a metro station and 5 mins walk from the hop on hop off bus stop so perfect location for sightseeing!
Rooms were modern and clean. Shower was lovely!
Very warm in the hotel as they only had heating on which seemed to get very hot overnight. I do however fully appreciate that I am English so anything slightly warmer is abnormal to me haha!
Breakfast was great, the waiter in the restaurant, Martin, was always happy to help and even got us some fried eggs on request. Breakfast was also replenished frequently and was always fresh.
Staff were absolutely lovely, always happy to help and always keen to talk!
Bar area and the garden again lovely to have a sit in and have a drink and I can imagine it to be even more beautiful in summer!
Thank you for a lovely stay guys! We will surely be back next time we visit!

My family stayed here for 5 days in December 2019. Great location, just off Las Ramblas. Staff were especially helpful and friendly, helping us with our luggage and anything we needed. Breakfast buffet was included and was one of the highlights. Good selection and fantastic pastries every day. Omelettes can be made to order, just ask.

Checkin and checkout was fast and easy.

If I’m in Barcelona again, I will not hesitate to stay there again. Booking directly from their website seemed to get the best price compared to sites like Expedia.

My rating reflects the experience we felt in that hotel. Firstly we were disappointed because although we had a recent European COVID recovery certificate the first day we arrived the hotel staff didn’t let us have breakfast although in whole Spain we didn’t phase any problem according to the official laws of Spain at that time. The receptionist didn’t speak English well and also gave us the impression that didn’t know the protocols at all and as result any explanation wasn’t sufficient and polite. At the last we did have breakfast since the waiter must have forgotten...the breakfast was ok. Some plates could be cleaner, explanations in English would be appreciated.

The bartender was very polite and we enjoyed having evening drinks at the garden. Cocktails not good, tapas and the rest was ok.

The room not 4* standards cause of some construction details that are not as they should be for example bed, shower, lighting etc. the cleaning of the room wasn’t ok.

Dear Stylianosk316, First of all, thank you very much for taking your time to assess your stay with us. We are very happy that breakfast, "tapas" and the attention of the waiter have been to your liking. On the other hand, we regret so much what happened at breakfast as well as we take note of all your comments. We commit with you to find the best solution for each of them. We hope you will give us a new opportunity to demonstrate we can live up to your expectations. We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon. We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Second stay at this surprisingly large hotel. Surprising because it’s only frontage is the front door which leads into a marble corridor to reception. It’s easy to walk straight past.

It’s down a malodorous street mere seconds from the middle of la Rambla and you may at first wonder if you’ve chosen wisely. Don’t worry…you have.

The hotel is built around a contained courtyard, the higher top end a relaxing tree lined garden, the lower immediately behind reception is an al fresce bar and cafe area; a great spot for a quiet drink before stepping into the maelstrom of central Barcelona.

The room we had was quite small but we spent little time in there over the 4 days/3 nights we were there. Because of the location don’t expect it to be completely quiet but it wasn’t excessively noisy.

It represents an oasis of peace after walking around perpetually busy Barcelona. I’ve stayed in at least 14 hotels in Barcelona and this is the one I’ll keep coming back to now.

Don’t tend to do hotel breakfasts in Barcelona as there are too many options with people watching thrown in out on the streets so can’t comment on that aspect.

You’re a 3 minute walk to Liceu metro and about 15 minutes from the harbour and 10 mins from Pl. Catalunya

This hotel is in poor condition and in need of refurbishment. Our room had peeling furniture and a broken bedside table. The bathroom had broken ceiling tiles and mold in the shower, plus a leaky sink. Both the bed and bath linens were of poor quality, and the bed pillows were old and worn out. The floor under the bed of our friend’s room was filthy. Housekeeping service was spotty and some days did not come until 5pm. The hallways and corridors of the hotel contain broken ceiling tiles and damaged doors. In addition to the hotel being in physically poor condition, the staff was untrained and not geared toward guest service. We had a problem with our hotel bill being incorrect. It took three days to rectify the situation to our satisfaction. We delivered some clothing for the laundry to the front desk, and were promised it would be ready for pick up the following morning. When we went to pick it up the next morning, we were told to come back at 5 PM. When we went back at 5 PM, it was discovered that the laundry never went out, and has been sitting in bags underneath the front desk. These are just two examples of the generally poor guest services which we encountered. The breakfast room and front desk staff were kind and friendly, however inefficient when it came to taking care of routine issues. This hotel is definitely not a four-star hotel, and in our experience it did not live up to the reviews or glossy photographs on this site. For the price we paid for this hotel, we could have done so much better.

Great family orientated hotel located on a quiet street just off las ramblas. The rooms face inwards so there is no noise from outside and sleep wasn’t a problem.

We had a double room with bunk beds for our two children which they loved. The room is very spacious with a good sized bathroom.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly especially the the reception staff who were brilliant with my young son who is 5 years old.

The hotel has a bar area that is open from 2pm and serves both drinks and food.

Again the bar staff were brilliant and went out of their way for us and were brilliant with our children.

The hotel is located in a narrow street just off ramblas with a number of different shops and restaurants located just a few steps away.

The hotel is a located across from a metro stop which takes you to most big attractions in Barcelona.

The room was cleaned every day to a high standard and nothing was too much for the staff

I can’t recommend this hotel enough to anyone visiting Barcelona. It is ideal for both couples and families and we will definitely be returning again.

This hotel was perfect for our pre-cruse exploration of Barcelona. It's location next to Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter enabled us to quickly get around and into different alleys and squares. Lots of shopping and food nearby. Our room had a king (2 twins pushed together) and a twin bunkbed in another alcove for the kids. The bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast spread was a highlight. There was several one-touch espresso machines to make your own cafe, fresh juices, fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries, eggs, bacon. They were able to accommodate my daughter with her allergies and bring her fresh and sometimes sealed food from the kitchen.

Yes, it is fairly close to cruise terminal. We stayed here pre-cruise. A driver picked us up. Not more than a 10-15 minute drive. The street where the hotel is located is in the old part of Barcelona. It is narrow, cobblestone and cars are unable to drive down. We met our driver on the main roadway. Not too far from the hotel entrance. We are returning there this fall, post cruise.
