Hotel staff was welcoming and helpful during our stay. They gave us food recommendations and helped us schedule a Taxi. The pillows and beds were very comfortable here. Breakfast is payed for separately but the staff was accommodating as well.

This hotel is definitely worth five stars, in contrast to the two “official” stars that the hotel already has. I stayed here with three friends for a 5 day city break in Barcelona. From the warm welcome on arrival to departure we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms have just enough space, a lovely shower and since we were exploring the city every day, it is very nice that the bed was made by housekeeping when we returned. The beds were lovely, only a little too small for my 1.85m height. Of course you won't hear me complaining about that, because nevertheless we slept wonderfully every night. The breakfast is definitely worth the money. Fresh bread rolls, fruit and pastry are available every day. Another plus was the Rooftop Bar with swimming pool where you could cool down during the hot afternoons while enjoying a delicious wine or cocktail and tapas. The hotel is located in the Barceloneta area, on the edge of the center and within walking distance of the beach. A perfect location! We regularly went to the center by foot, but if you prefer public transport you can easily reach the center from the metro station around the corner from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would definitely choose Hotel Oasis again.

After visiting London, England my wife and family traveled to Barcelona Spain to celebrate our 45th anniversary of our wedding on Sunday, Father’s Day. This was our 2nd trip to Barcelona and we stayed in the Oasis Hotel in the neighborhood of Barcelonetta, near the Gothic quarter of the city. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary
with my family and seeing the sights of the neighborhoods of the city. Travel on the metro underground was easy as the
lines are well marked and safe. The Hotel (Oasis) was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was included with the room
and massive. The only one fault was that the housekeeping was not adequate as I had to go to the desk twice and ask for
hand soap and toilet paper. Even though I requested it to be left in the room, it was not communicated to the housekeeper. More training would be of beneficial to future guests. Other than that I’m very satisfied with the time that I spent in this fine hotel. The pool is small but adequate. The hotel is close to the beach. The neighborhood is close to many fine restaurants which are easily walkable even for people with limited mobility. All of my family agree that we would return to the Oasis Hotel in Barcelona for another stay.

In going to copy what I’ve sent to them without response

We come to Barcelona every year once or twice. We found you in 2018 and stayed last summer in your hotel. This was an amazing experience, great service, enjoyed the rooftop and the room was nice. Because we had such a good experience last year we decided we didn’t wanted to go anywhere else and booked with hotel oasis again.

When we arrived and entered the room this was first of all so different to the one we had last year.
We woke up in the night as it was boiling hot and the thermometer gave 29. We went downstairs in the middle of the night (4am) and the reception told us he would sort it out first thing in the morning. Next morning we go again downstairs to address this where we got the answer that the air conditioning was broken and basically this is how it was going to be as there was no solution.
Next to that the whole bathroom + room ran under water every time we showered.
Again, we went downstairs with a picture of the bathroom and they told us they were going to fix it, ofcourse they did not.

Long story short : the 4 days that we stayed here our room was BOILING hot , the bathroom under water EVERY time. And thanks to other guest of you, the whole room smelled like weed from people smoking outside their window.

I think a nice stay is called very different.
I did tell all of this to the reception but as they seemed NOT to care. I’m sending this email in case you would forget to fix the airconditioning and the bathroom for your next guests.

I’ve read all of the reviews online and this seems to be a problem that goes back to 2016!??? And still this is a problem that has not been fixed.

This stay was NOT €637 worth at all.
Really disappointed in this hotel.

I stayed in a superior room with a terrace and a view. Important to mention that and the category. The price/quality ratio was very good, in my view. Room is not huge and not so exciting in any respect but a nice large, comfortable bed, good tv (international as well as Spanish/catalan channels), tea and coffee making supplies and a fridge. Bathroom is good sized, well-enough equipped but not luxurious (mine didn’t have a bath, but I’m more of a shower person). The terrace makes all the difference. Being able to go outside, look out onto part of the city (even if the view is nothing amazing, I always like a view!). This also gives the feeling of space and air to breath. I could hang out my running clothes to dry on the terrace, have dinner or breakfast there (I was travelling alone). There are better views in Barcelona, but I liked the space and the view. I was staying over a weekend and had a business meeting on Monday afternoon. The fee for a slightly late check out was not at all unreasonable, and when I went to pay I was told there was no charge. I appreciated very much the gesture. I would definitely stay here again. Good access to all areas of Barcelona, very close to the Barcelonta metro and walking to my favorite neighborhoods (e.g., Born, Gracia, Sagrada Familia….)

This hotel was great for what we needed! One night in Barcelona in a central location with secured luggage storage for both days (prior to check in and post checkout) was perfect for us! Walking distance to the beach, bars restaurants, etc. The rooms were a little noisy -I wore earplugs as our room was right beside the pool and the party was going on late into the night on the Saturday.

Great value for money! Can’t believe this hotel is only 2 stars. The room has all you need, incl. kettle, shower gel, fridge and a/c. The small pool & bar are really cozy and great place to relax after a day sightseeing & doing water sports. Perfect place for couples or young people who want to have a good time. The location is just perfect, walking distance to the beach & clubs and sights such as the cathédrale & multiple museums. The staff is lovely, super service minded.

I stayed in the Oasis hotel with friends. Our room was great - comfortable, good size and very quiet. HOWEVER my friends' room was just above the second floor roof terrace. The terrace was open with loud music was playing until 3am (Friday and Saturday). There was then shouting for a further hour as drunk people left. My friends didn't get any sleep until 4am on either night and were so tired for sight seeing during the day. They did ask to change rooms but were told the hotel was full. This was such a shame as we had no other complaints about the hotel. Nice staff, comfortable, good location. However, I really don't think the hotel should let out the rooms above the terrace without a warning about the noise (some party people may not be bothered!), and certainly not at the same price as the other rooms. I don't usually leave reviews but I felt like this needed to be said to warn others. If you stay at Oasis, you might want to insist on a back room!

The location is amazing, walk distance from Barceloneta beach (around 10 minutes) and only 5 minutes walking from the Gothic Quartier where there's a lot of nice bars and restaurants. The swimming pool is small but Ok, it was not crowded due to Corona time. The terrace is really nice ! The room is great, with a comfy bed and very good shower.

I stayed for 10 nights at the Oasis Hotel. Its location is quite good as you can get to the beach after a 15 min walk. It is also close to the Gothic Quarter which is a 5-10 min walk and the train station is right around the corner. The terrace and pool are great. The rooms are clean and spacious and their overall quality is good. It feels like a new hotel which is always a good thing. The staff is nice and, all and all, I would consider returning to this hotel.

Hi Rob, rooms located on upper floors (second and up) have small balconies. However, I do not think they are useful in summer - it might be very hot even in the night, has more sense to keep windows closed, jalousie down and air condition running. Regarding interior/exterior: it is an old building re-arranged where possible to serve the new needs; located on a crossing with a lively Pla de Palau. Rooms are small and corridors are very narrow. Some rooms have no windows at all (!) or are faced to a lifting-hole like inner yard, probably 4x4m. Thus, ask for a upper floor room looking to the Carrera de la Marquesa street. The place is better suitable for a short stay, ideal for sightseeing or business trip. The terrace with open-air pool is a highlight. The hotel is very clean. Enjoy you stay!

We were in Oasis on October 2018, so we did not use AC much, but it worked OK. No mini bar in the room, but a little fridge, so you can purchase your own drinks/food to keep in there. Supermarket just beside the hotel. There is also a bar out on the terrace with swimming pool. The beach in ca. 10 minutes on foot.

No bugs. We visited Oasis in October 2018. High class boutique hotel. Just look out for inner rooms, the window has NO view at all. Only at wall!!!

You can access the subway network from the airport to get to anywhere in the city. Also, there is a bus that delivers you to 2 location within the city, Aerobus. Web search will give you the details.
