Stayed 4 nights in Barca recently in Bed and Beach . Staff were very helpful and friendly .
Room was clean and functional with good air conditioning . Nothing fancy - no television or frills .No window which personally didnt bother me - saw enough of barca during my time exploring . kitchen area also clean with fridge,microwave and storage area for each guest . the bathroom shower could have been a little more powerful but was still ok .
Very short walk to beach and also very close to shopping centre and cineplex and some cafes .
overall a very good experience and great value at a price which is very hard to find in barca .
hotels in barca are ridiculously overpriced and this is a welcome alternative .
the location on you first time to try and find may be a little confusing but once you get your bearings is fine . google maps on smartphone guided me initially !
so to sum up , if you want a reasonably priced ,safe ,clean place to stay in barca near beach ,this is the place for you

We booked a room at Bed and Beach because of their nice website and the apparently willingness to make their guests feel at home. When we arrived there we could check ourselves it wasn't only advertising but they really made an effort to make our stay comfortable. They explained us around and gave us tips and recommendations so we could go not only to the very touristics spots but be able to go out the beaten track. Also, the guesthouse is very clean and it has a relaxed atmosphere. We could cook our meals there and have breakfast on the rooftop terrace, which was great. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone going to Barcelona. Thanks Bed and Beach staff!

Hi
We came here with 2 young children. We got the studio apartment, which had a very comfy twin bed, + 3 more beds. (our son used one of them and the othe two were not in use).
The apartment is well lit during the day, has windows, great atmosphere to it --- the kitchen is a good size and has everything you need. Towels were provided and we received more when we asked, very friendly staff...we arrived very late for check-in and they didn't charge us.
Very close to the beach. a big supermarket, children's playground, close to the metro and busses -- just a fantastic location.

The positive points :
The young owners were really nice and helpful.
The room, the common bathroom, the toilets and the common area were all very clean and well-decorated.
The bed was comfortable.
Free wifi access
The place is very close to the beach.
You'll find everything you need in the kitchen to store and cook your own meals if you want.
Air con in the room.
The less postive points :
There is no real breakfast. Just coffee or tea + 2 toasts. I did not expect anything so I was not that disapointed.
Towels and linen are not changed during your stay. Beds are not made every day. Personnaly, I don't care, and I even appreciated to leave all my belongings knowing that nobody would enter my room.
The B&B is not located in the heart of the city. It takes about 15-20mn with the bus from plaza de Cataluna.
The negative point:
Rooms are not soundproofed at all. You hear people in the kitchen and your neighbours as if you were in the same room with them (in sickness and in health !)
So it really depends on the people with whom you share the B&B with.
If you are all alone or with respectful people, this should be a lovely stay.
On the other hand, that can be hell if you share the B&B with noisy and irrespectful people.

Kind and excellent owners. Sweet and clean place.
We loved this place and its owners. Great value for our money. 5 min walking from the beach, 2 min' walking from supermarket. 1 min' from bus station. 15 min bus to plaza catelunia. 10 min' bus from la ramblas. Quiet surrounding.

Some information from the past is obsolete.
First of all - it is not bed and breakfast because this B&B does not serve any breakfast. You get a morning coffee, that's all.
Pluses:
- rooms are nice, we have got no. 1 with own bathroom
- rooms are clean and cleaned regular by 2 helpers (Philippines?)
- staff speaks English fluently and gives good tourist tips
- location is really good - 6 minutes from the nearest beach and many options to get the city by bus or metro (underground) - 10 routes tickets costs 9,5€ and is valid for all types of vehicles.
- car left on the street was ignored by criminals (we believe they are in Barcelona ;))
- price - 55€ per day in high season
- commonly used terrace
Minuses:
- odd request - do not use your shoes in the room and kitchen area
- 20€ caution returned on check-out - why?
- 'paper walls' - it is possible to hear what is going on in the whole house; fortunately, our mates were very quiet

Very good cheap accomadation, the only drawback is that it is just outside the main tourist area so you have to take the bus. Having said this the public transport is easy, cheap and we only waited a few mins for a bus in the daytime. The location to the beach is very good though! The room was very clean and the roof terrace was perfect to have breakfast on.

We were there for four days and we just love it! The staff was really nice and helpful, the decoration was lovely, modern, a bit Scandinavian, the room was small but clean and with lots of light,... Well, we are certainly coming back!

I really enjoyed my stay here - loved the decor (I am a bit of an Ikea-aphile though) and the roof terrace was lovely. Room was basic but fine for our needs and i liked the little touches (and all the cat related artwork!). The beds aren't changed/made daily - but I was offered clean towels on my 2nd day. Coffee was good in the morning.
The best thing, however, was how friendly the staff were (and the reason I feel inclined to even write a review!). When we first arrived, the receptionist gave us a map, told us about the bus routes, what ticket to buy, where the cheapest supermarket was, where to get a drink nearby, where she recommended we visit. As we had no guide book and no plans and were clueless about how the city was laid out - this was a god send and much appreciated.
Whenever we saw the staff, they were smiley, friendly and helpful. Very refreshing!
Also, free internet access which was convenient for just checking our email every now and then during our stay.

I came with two collegues, but they only had a single room available, so I stayed there alone. People was very friendly, they help my friends to find another place to stay but I think that I was the lucky one staying there. The place was very clean, quiet and close to the beach, anyway I decided to stay in the amazing terrace as I didn't have so much free time. The single room was tiny, but enough for my needs and very convenient as I could cook myself in the common kitchen. If I come back to Barcelona I will go here indeed but I wish I could stay longer!
