The hotel including the management and staff have an upbeat Mediterranean vibe. In particular we extend a sincere thanks to Marta who helped us explore Barcelona. We arrived early, she checked our bags, and offered some nearby suggestions to fill the time before our room was ready. We felt a connection, and during our stays consulted with her a few times on restaurants or other ideas with great results. She suggested a great beach and restaurant North of Barcelona after talking through some ideas for a quick day trip, and offered to make our meal reservations. Unfortunately, we were exploring, didn’t want to commit to a time, and were not able to get a table. (Next time, and I assume Jordi will share this with you, but it was great to meet you and thank you for everything!)
The hotel is two blocks from Placa Catalunya, which allow for easy exploration on foot and all means of public transportation. For anyone with concerns, a staff member was always at the well lit entrance. We stayed in two different rooms on different floors, and both had very comfortable bedding, were clean, and amply furnished with toiletries, towels, etc. Both rooms, including one with a balcony (overlooking a fantastic restaurant La Taverneta) are well constructed to prevent sound transmission.
We would not consider another hotel in Barcelona for future visits. The hotel also has a roof terrace and infinity edge pool with great views day and night.
The Vividora is a chic, beautifully decorated boutique hotel that is centrally located on a charming pedestrian street at the renowned Gothic Quarter. It is minutes away from the
Barcelona cathedral, Placa Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia and Las ramblas. The location is great for sightseeing many of the sights, shopping and restaurants. We felt totally safe day and night walking in this area
I would like to compliment and thank Jordi Garcia, the guest relation manager, who really went out of his way to make us feel at home. He really is amazing and would consistently make sure that everything was perfect and to our liking.
The rest of the staff is wonderful, they are very welcoming as they greet you with their friendly smile and eagerness to assist.
Special thank to Quique(Enrique), Paola, Edu(Eduardo), Anabelle, Cesar and Gaby and for their great service.
Our room was spotless clean with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful modern bathroom with nice and strong hot shower. Toiletry products were excellent. Robes and slippers were provided. We also loved our balcony overlooking the gorgeous building across the street.
Breakfast was delicious at their Fauna restaurant where Gaby, our server, was outstanding making sure all our food was just as we liked it.
We will certainly be staying here again whenever we visit Barcelona.

When I checked-in, receptionists gave me warm welcome even I received an ice-cold, lemon infused water to sooth myself. Then, I was really surprised my room was way wider and comfy than I expected. Due to my experiences, if the hotel is located in the center of the old city and the busiest area, rooms are pitifully narrow. However, Kimpton Vividora is the exception. I don’t know when they renovated but the room is spotlessly clean and everything is pretty new. Shower is quite powerful and the bath amenities are high-quality. Bottles of water as well as Nespresso cartridges and teabags are waiting for me at free of charge, and those were replaced with fresh bottles/cartridges/bags twice a day – at housekeeping and turn down.
I tried their breakfast buffet once. The varieties of the items are sufficient enough, Americans’ favorite and essentials plus European / Catalan local’s favorites as well.
Location is one of the best in Barcelona. Kimpton Vividora is several minutes away from Aerobus (airport bus) terminal. The bus service is every 4 minutes and available 24/7, so easy and convenient ride.
If you wish to hang around Gothic Area, you will be in the best position. My friend joined the stay and wished to visit to the museums and galleries, most of the places are short walking distances or several bus/metro stops away from Plaza Cataluña.
After all, during my stay, I booked Kimpton Vividora for the Barcelona trip next year. I really appreciate all the hotel staffs taking care of us, always try to help anything we need. I totally recommend this hotel for your Barcelona trip.
A traveller tip...... Catch the aerobes from the airport. It stops near the hotel and is an excellent way to save a couple 80 euros if you went by taxi. They run every 5 minutes. Its a no brainer.
A tip for anyone travelling to Barcelona, please leave your expensive belongings at home because we were pickpocketed broad daylight while on a rigshaw.

On arrival the ‘greeter’ is always very friendly and very happy to help showing you to the lifts and reception. Very helpful reception nothing seems too much trouble Shane it’s situated on the mezzanine but that’s just how the building is. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a bath in the room. It was very clean and well equipped with bath and shower stuff. Fully stocked bar etc. We had an extra bed for our son and there was still plenty of room. Great roof terrace with nice food and lovely cocktails with friendly staff. Lovely view over Barcelona to. Nice place for sun downers to, too cold to swim when we went but looked nice.
Breakfast was good if a bit disorganised on busy days definitely go earlier (before 9.30 for a full choice and no queue) ageing friendly helpful staff
Cons.
They put the cleaning trolley on the wall right outside our room by our heads every morning which woke us up the rattling glass water bottles are noisy and the cleaners go up and down in the lift lots so check the room number.
The room loo has a glass door and wall to the shower / so if your in the shower or intact in the bath you can see and hear everything that is going on in the loo / think the trendy door hole handle could be changed and the see through glass tinted? Having a relaxing bath and hearing/seeing/smelling the loo is not my idea of fun!!
Rest good though !!
The hotel has GREAT location, few minutes walk from circuit the catalunya.
The room was great with everything we needed and we felt very safe from covid-19.
The hotel has a cool social hour with free red/ white wine as well as snacks.
Manager called Jordi Garcia called us the night before to verify our arrival, we needed early check in and it was possible free of charge.
We also needed a late check out and we got it with fair price.
In general we felt that it was important for the hotel stuff that we will enjoy our stay
Being a Spire Elite member does come with some perks but the rooms are modern, equipped with all you need, and very comfy beds.
A beautiful rooftop and a pool are a great place to relax after a whole day of exploring.
But the best part are the staff, great energy, chatty, always smiley, there to give you a tip about Barcelona or resolve any dilemma.
Special thanks to Jordi for following up on my stay and making sure I had everything I needed, Leo and Sebastian for great conversations during social hour.
I had an amazing time and definitely will be staying here in the future again! 5 out of 5 star stay! Muchísimas gracias!
