Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Check in was a breeze and staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, while dated, was clean, quiet and comfortable. When we asked to stay one additional night we were able to stay an additional night and received a great price. A bit of a drive from Banff, but an affordable option.

At 5:30am the morning of checkout we discovered our shower was not functional. We had the attendant on duty accompany us back to our room to observe the problem...our file was left open until a manager on duty could assess the situation. We asked for a 50% discount; however, we were pleasantly surprised when we were FULLY refunded for our stay

Very friendly staff. I was a walk-in as I had arrived in Cochrane without a reservation and the internet said they were sold out. Lucky for me they had a cancellation but the front desk clerk said it was a small room and suggested I see it before booking - so away we went to check it out, Yes it was small but it was ok for me and I spent the next 3 nights there with no complaints. I had a coffee maker and bar fridge in the room. Hotel is dated but very clean. The breakfast area is very well stocked and each morning a great breakfast of egg and either bacon, sausage, or patty sausage as well as waffles, muffins etc. Hot coffee provided 24/7 in the lobby. Pets allowed. This hotel is within walking or a 1 min drive to Boston Pizza, A&W, Dairy Queen, Tim Hortons, liquor store, gas station. It’s approx 5-10 drive to downtown Cochrane. I would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Check in with Lynn was fantastic. She was very helpful and efficient. When I got to the room my feelings were it was a bit dated and needed some work but it looked relatively clean. In the age of Covid I took out my disinfecting wipes and cleaned all the major surfaces just to be safe. I went into the bathroom last and that’s when I found the mess in, on and around the toilet. I called Lynn from my mobile, because the room phone didn’t work, and she offered me another room. Because I had been travelling all day I just wanted it cleaned and and she sent someone up right away. The bathroom was cleaned acceptably; however, I watched the cleaner put the caddy filled with cleaning supplies including the toilet brush on the bathroom counter. He didn’t have a rag so he stepped out and returned with what looked like a facecloth and hand towel and proceeded to clean the toilet. This was disgusting to me.
Once he left I cleaned the bathroom again with my wipes.
This was the third Day Inn I stayed i. Over the last week and usually find them to be excellent.
This one needs work, carpet had big stain in front of the TV, cabinet was all scratched, shower curtain was full of mold, toilet didn’t always flush properly, sink didn’t drain very well.
Too bad because the staff seemed nice. Just work on your quality and cleanliness.

Dear Valued Guest, We’re really sorry for the inconvenience you had and completely understand your frustration. We have addressed this straight away to our staff and escalated it to the management for immediate action to ensure that this incident is not repeated again. At present, we're going through a period of transition due to Covid-19. Some employees are returning from temporary layoffs and some are newly hired. This will be a retraining opportunity for our housekeeping staff as we strive to provide the best possible service to our guests. In the meantime, please be advised that the facecloths and hand towels you referred to, were just 'rags' which we are recycling after having used as bath towels and hand towels. People often use towels in cleaning dirty things and then, we can not use them as towels any longer. Instead of dumping them, we are trying to recycle them as rags to clean up baths etc. We would assure you that it is just impossible to use towels at both ends. No way at all as we do care for our guests! Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we caused you, and appreciate you sharing this feedback so we can improve for future guests We'd like to invite you again to our hotel to experience the improved stay. Choice of food was very poor. foodstuff for breakfast was stored in reception area and had to be taken to guest room. The hotel seemed to have not an area for guests to have their breakfast. I suggest they take off the cost of breakfast from daily rates and advise guests to have it somewhere else, Tim Horton's was much preferable. Bed sheets were of synthetic material and made beds uncomfortable. All togethere this is a cheap hotel that is over-priced.

Stayed one night on our way back from Kananaskis. There had been some issues with Expedia and the hotel didnt have my booking when I arrived at 830pm. However, the front desk made every effort to connect me with Expedia and get me a room.
Rooms were comfortable. Had a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, stove, faucet and dishwasher in the room. Our kids loved the pool (you have to book a time slot and that way you have the whole pool to yourself). Breakfast bags were good. We do miss the era of hot buffet breakfast back in the pre-covid time.
Rates are pretty good if you compare with that of hotels in Banff and Canmore.

Friendly staff. Rooms getting a little bit dated. Generally clean, however,rooms could use a deep cleaning . Things like window need cleaning. Swimming pool areas need significant cleaning and attention.

Old and very much in need of updating. The 4 rooms we booked were changed and we were placed on the main level close to the elavators and kitchen. Our room had such a horrible musty odor that we had to ask to be moved for the remainder of our stay. had no tv as the remote was not working. Bkf was decent and staff were friendly and helpful... especially Klaus who did his best to try and make things right.

We had room 409 on top floor and could not sleep very well because of the noise and vibration of the room. Every time some one would come through the front entrance of the hotel, the noise and vibration of the door opening would reverberate all the way up to our room. The place was sold out so we could not change rooms. The front desk gave me a $10.00 discount for this inconvenience? Would not recommend staying in any of the rooms above the front entrance.

The room was ok, a bit dated. Breakfast first day was very crowded and room was overly hot. The second morning it seemed cooler although still very crowded with families. The fill-in breakfast hostess worked very hard to keep everything restocked. She was also the head of housekeeping. She was very positive and always had a smile on her face. That is what we will remember about our stay.
