Hotel's Favourite
My cousin and I spent 2 nights at this quaint Inn recently. The Inn is situated on a quiet street not far from the highway, and I must emphasize the 'quiet'. There's a large park and green space across the street, and deer roaming freely. The wrap-around veranda on the Inn is a lovely place to relax and take in the tranquility of Radium.
The staff (Pierre) and owner (Rob & pup Dexter), were amazingly friendly and accommodating. As we were there during a quiet season, we were able to get to know Rob and the Inn's history. You guys are awesome!
The main floor room we had was spacious, very clean and extremely quiet. We were able to see a few other rooms and they are all different and uniquely decorated. Like your own home!
The free breakfast was a highlight also. You order your own hot food from various yummy choices. Great way to start your day before wandering around this incredible Kootenay valley.
There's plenty of free parking, close to your room.
I loved this beautiful Inn and highly recommend it to family, friends, and visitors to Radium.

Amazing location, well cared for property and beautiful building. The location is so peaceful and quiet that you will have a wonderful nights sleep! The rooms are nicely organised with everything you require and the beds have top quality mattresses. We loved the outside veranda around the building with chairs and tables to sit in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine. The building itself was beautifully designed and the breakfast room breath taking! The breakfasts were excellent each day. Everything top quality throughout. Certainly the only place to stay in Radium Hot Springs !

Inn on Canyon was a real find! Our room on the main level provided our own door out onto a porch, with chairs to relax in after a day's drive. It was spacious, nicely decorated and provided a comfie bed and a good night sleep. Easy walking to several restaurant choices. The hot breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise considering most hotels are offering little other than a cold grab and go. The tables were well spaced, and breakfast was delicious.
Our host was gracious. We look forward to returning.

We booked this accommodation after reading several reviews. We were so disappointed. Despite the Covid excuses for not providing items that we consider essential, we found the quality/preparation of the foods served for breakfast were definitely substandard. The room decor would be considered minimalist as there were no pictures on the walls, not even a mirror apart from the bathroom, no place to put clothing except for a hook on the wall. We will not recommend this place to family or friends.

Hello Eldon, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We take Covid safety seriously here and follow protocols. The rooms have a brand new roll of toilet paper and a brand new bar of soap. Any other amenities are here but must be asked for as the contact information sheet says in your room. Everything consumable has to be thrown out whether used or not and a landfill full of unopened or barely used Kleeenix is wasteful. Breakfast used to be an amazing bufftet/grazing table. Today we are required to serve a plated breakfast. This amazing complimentary breakfast includes fresh cooked eggs, usually Bacon or maple sausages, and blueberry pancakes or french toast and/or Homemade hash browns. We are not able to do quiche here as many guests are gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan. We offer a list of substitutable items like cheese and olives, bagels and cream cheese, fruit etc. Kicking Horse coffee and quality breads and other ingredients are used. Most guests appreciate this selection. Enjoy the next place you choose in Radium. Cheers.

If you're looking for quiet, clean, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated rooms in a warm and homey inn, this is the place. We ended up staying 3 nights we enjoyed it so much and even when every room was booked, it was still a quiet and relaxing place to be. The fresh breakfast made to order every morning (included in the price) was perfect every day. We enjoyed lingering in the very comfortable recliners in the dining area after breakfast reading and playing cards. A few things to keep in mind: staff is only available at breakfast time and between 4 and 8 pm, and no children under 12, pets or smoking are allowed. We had an amazing meal at the nearby Old Salzburg Restaurant and a really good pizza at Wildside. Radium Hot Springs are 2.5 mile walk uphill (we walked; most people don't but it's a beautiful walk into the national park) and are totally worth the trip, especially in winter. We will definitely be back.

After reading so many five-stars reviews, we were looking forward to staying at Inn on Canyon. Our experience was disappointing.

Pros: Nice breakfast room. Towels for hot spring.

Cons: Rooms are not meeting our expectation of a hotel room ... dirty toilet and sink, no wardrobe, no hanger for clothes, no full size mirror, no clock, no room cleaning during the stay, cheap furniture, soft bed, soft pillow, broken window blinds etc. Breakfast was just ok. A sign on the front door suggesting 15% gratuity is too direct and not appreciated.

Would not recommend this hotel for the price we paid.

Inn on Canyon is a lovely two-story B&B. Our first-floor room was clean, very comfortable, and opened onto a side deck where we were able to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the thunderclouds roll in from the distance. The breakfast was skimpy and definitely not worth writing home about, but I'd stay here again and enjoy the coffee in the morning.

We have stayed at various places in Radium in the past and always thought it we should give the Inn On Canyon a try. For us it was just average and I guess for the price we paid we thought it was a little pricey. Room was okay. Lacked a clock which I found inconvenient. Could use more towel bars in bathroom. Bathroom was a little tight. Was always kicking the plastic bin between shower and toilet. Hallway carpets are pretty worn and the decor could use some refreshing - too many mirrors. Breakfast offered was decent and served at your table. Coffee available all day.
One thing that put us off a bit was the suggestion to leave a 15% tip for the hard working staff. This was posted on the info sheet at the registration desk and at the coffee counter. I'm not against tipping but hate being told how much and having it in my face. Aren't the staff paid a wage? We thought we were paying a pretty fair price already and that tipping shouldn't be asked for.

i am sorry you had a poor experience. Prior staff have gone and we have implemented new employees that will be sure to improve your experience. There is additional quality control after housekeeping implemented to ensure a high level of cleanliness, and after busy season (Sept) we are able to shut down the Inn to do an annual clean with steamcleaning of mattresses, floors, walls washed etc. our Inn is spotless now and ready for the new busy season. We have removed the suggested gratuity signs the former employee put up as well as i agree it is not appropriate. please give us another try and you are sure to have a different experience! Quiet and cozy room with warm staff.
Very cute deco in the room & the hallway.
Our room smelled so nice I was sniffing around everytime I came back into the room.
Complementary breakfast was a bonus as well.

Smooth check in and check out.
Parking was easy.
There is a playground just in front of our balcony which I liked.

I would come back to this Inn or recommend to others who are looking to stay in town.

Well we just left the Inn on Canyon and it feels like we are leaving family. The manager Ken was just a pleasure from minute one and truly made us feel at home. The room was great and the bed so comfortable….had a great nights sleep. The area around the Inn is very quiet so slept with our window open all night. The breakfast is a sit down, served by Ken affair that was a wonderful touch and so delicious. We loved their breakfast room which has very cozy vibe with wonderful added touches. Our only wish is that we could have gotten there earlier and stayed longer but we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!!
