The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality.

What an amazing couple of days in Radium. Made it extra special as we stayed in Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge. We loved the million dollar view, warm filling and "bonus" free breakfast, Very clean and spacious room. Our room included free Wifi and AC, what was helpful as August Radium is quite hot.
It's dog friendly place, you just have to be upfront with owners as not all room dog friendly..
We treated like royals absolutely 5 stars. We are actually looking forward to come back on September!
If you are searching for clean and reasonable accommodation in Radium do not hesitate to give a chance to Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge!!!

Excellent location! Excellent hosts! Excellent view!  This charming lodge is a hidden gem. A very spacious, clean and comfortable room with an amazing view of the mountains and the valley.
The lodge is just a few minutes away from the hot springs, in a quiet and relaxing location at the top of a hill, where you can often see bighorn sheep and deer from your balcony.
The owners Steven and Edith are absolutely amazing, very friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasure to talk to and deal with this wonderful couple.
If you want to relax and unwind, stay here and enjoy great European hospitality in a remote and very peaceful lodge in Radium Hot Springs!

On my roadtrip back east needed an overnight. I came in here, as a result of the detour at Golden, and on a search this came up and when I got up there, wow! I had to take it. Instead of one night, I ended up staying three!

Excellent room setup, lovely balcony to watch the mountains and sunset. Everything I needed was there. The owner couple are such a wonderful couple and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and I liked how the "bedroom" was separated but not closed off from the livingroom/diningroom. The only disappintment was that the restaurant was not open due to covid restrictions as I would have loved to have some Hungarian goulash. I had occasion to run into a local couple who said the restaurant was very good food. One of the best stays!

Apparently this hotel has changed hands. The wonderful breakfasts (like waffles with vanilla pudding) are no more. Complementary breakfast is now a 'hot' buffet with lukewarm food, watered down juice, and coffee from an urn.
You have to check-in by going to the lobby of the hotel next door, where you have to pick up a phone to get someone to come to the lobby and that took awhile.
Our room came equipped with a 1/4 roll of toilet paper, a toilet that was always running, a fridge that wasn't cold, and a patio door that took a lot of pulling to slide open or closed. No housekeeping during the stay as they are short-staffed. At suppertime, some menu items were unavailable and our polite waitress was on her second day of work. Fortunately Radium has a good variety of restaurants in town. We've stayed there many times in the past but we will not be back.

We stayed here for two nights on July 24 & 25th. Based on Trip Advisor ratings it sounded fantastic.
On the bright side the view from the room was great and the beds were comfortable, and also there was air conditioning which was good since it was hot. The price was reasonable. There were Bighorn up the drive in and we had a nice view from the room.
Unfortunately, the room was in bad disrepair. There were hardly any electrical outlets to recharge devices. We traveled for 22 days and this was the only place that had not at least purchased after market charging stations for charging electronics. There were no working lamps in the room. The bulbs were either not in there, not plugged in, or didnt' fit. The chairs on the pation were falling apart. breakfast was very disappointing.
We paid for the hot breakfast upgrade for $5 per day and did not even eat there the second morning. Cold processed eggs, baked beans, and cold porridge with canned peaches. We did not eat dinner there and enjoyed going into town to Radium Brewing and the Pizza place.
All of this can be fixed and it wouldn't be that expensive.

Me & wife had booked a room here for our anniversary on August 27th. We were running a little late from Banf, so we called Rocky Mountain Lodge around 7:30 pm. It went to voicemail so we left a message, and made several more attempts to call with no answer. Five minutes before we arrived there around 1015 pm we received a text informing of us which room were booked in and the room being left unlocked with the key inside. When we got there the room was dirty, dingy, and smelled musty. The sink did drain properly and the toilet looked dirty. My wife was mortified & so upset she said she would rather sleep in the car. Since there was nobody to complain to, we left and stayed at another hotel. When he contacted the manager the next day and explained the situation, and asked for the charge to be reversed. He responded with you should have texted me back last night & I could have given the room to someone else, and refused to reverse the charge. The pictures are on their website are very deceptive...it's actually shows more like a one star motel.

We have been staying at this hotel 4 out of the last 5 years with incredible experiences. This year was not only disappointing it was disgusting. The rooms were dirty, smelled bad. The bathroom was covered in cobwebs, bugs attached and the bed linens were badly stained; flat pillows. The free breakfast was cold with no staff to checking on it and no other meals offered even though they advertised a full restaurant. In the past, we rated this hotel a 5/5. This stay is a 1/5... not worth anywhere near $259.95

I have attached a picture of a used ostomy bag that was hanging in the room. The bathroom had dry soap cakes from the previous occupant. Main office was locked up and no response. This hotel is now owned by the Chalet next door. There is no breakfast and at checkout there is no one around.
Oh and to the non existent owners the missing bed linen from my room was given to another room who’s beds were dirty and slept in. They tried to contact you but no answer.
We were the ones that found your cell phone at 0100h on the BCHA.com site under Radium.
All this for $300. Do not stay here.

We stayed 1 night. Yes the view is great, the price per night low, the room clean, the toilet trouble flushing only water, the Hungarian Restaurant is no more and the breakfast was not the mouth watering Hungarian spread described in previous post(s), but instead a very basic continental of bread, cereal, juice, and luke warm coffee. I assume the ownership-management has changed here and the Hungarian ownership is no more as the flags flying did not have a Hungarian, Canadian, or provincial British Columbian representation?? The Trip Advisor description of this hotel needs to be changed to avoid future patron disappointment. Would I pay more somewhere else to get what’s advertised, yes.

We chose this hotel because of the on-site restaurant which is mentioned in a banner when you google the hotel. We called day of and asked hours of operation of the restaurant as we knew we’d be late arrivals, and when we checked in asked again and were told it was open until 9. Hurriedly put our stuff away after a long rainy drive, went to the restaurant only to find it closed. The desk clerk I checked in with, the one who confirmed it was open only 15 minutes before told me that it closes when “it’s not busy” but will be open on the Weekend. Great news for a Wednesday night guest. The parking lot had about 30 cars so the restaurant might have been busy if it had been open. Had to get back in the car and drive to get dinner. True, there were several close by, but we wanted to eat and go to bed, not get back in the car again. Trip Advisor shouldn’t recommend hotels with a restaurant if it’s only open on the weekends. There were several less expensive hotels in the area that we would have chosen if we knew we would have to drive to eat anyway. The inside of the rooms was like a 1970’s motor lodge. Definitely could use updating. The room was clean though and the shower was hot, so there’s that.
