My husband and I have been to Mulvehill for three summers. It is an absolutely amazing place: sophisticated yet remote (no phones, no television!) Rene, Conny, and Tobias are excellent and warm hosts. Their place is kept up beautifully and the food served is quite delicious! We have met some incredibly interesting people from all walks of life. I cannot recommend this inn enough....my only hesitation is that, because it is so wonderful, it is hard to get a room!

We visited the Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn a few days ago for a get away from the city and we were happy that we did. The resort is in excellent condition, nicely located on the shore of the Columbia river. There are snow capped mountains all around but in the valley the weather was excellent. We tasted some of Conny's excellent cooking. All the items for breakfast are freshly made and taste exceptional. The rooms are well laid out, comfortable beds and pillows. There is no noise anywhere , so you will have a great sleep. If you are in the mood, Conny's husband Rene has the swimming pool all ready, Saltwater and a perfect temperature. You can swim and enjoy nature all around you. You might even get a visit from a curious black bear, a deer or a bald eagle. Some of the wildlife that co habits without any problems at the Mulvehill creek. If you feel like catching your breakfast, just go down to the river and try to catch a nice rainbow trout. You can pick wild berries, mushrooms in season. There are so many things to do that you will not be bored any time soon.
there is a working power plant on the property which is very interesting to see. Rene would be happy to explain how it all works.
We had an excellent time at the resort and after a relaxing stay can highly recommend the resort to any traveler that enjoys nature and great hospitality.
Conny and Rene are the perfect hosts.
We will definitely be back soon.

I Spend 3 days and 2 night, and had the time of my life! I loved the pool outside. Amazing staff with a great seance of humor. Breakfast at 8:30am was well organized and yammi. We followed the advised of the host and went to the near by waterfall and to check out the super big trees (as seen in pic section). This is a 5 star place! I highly recommend this place!

We considered ourselves "lucky" to have secured a last minute booking at Mulvehill Creek during BC Holiday Weekend. We soon changed our minds. Despite having made it very clear that we were traveling with our children (aged 6 and 2), our reception and treatment during our stay was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. Warning bells began to ring as we passed an information sign at the gate, with an outline of children holding hands and the international symbol for 'NO' struck across it. Upon arrival we were made to feel like third class citizens (after the dogs and the guests without children), and our very well behaved children lectured on not jumping on furniture, running in corridors, or making any noise whatsoever.
We arrived late, weary from our journey, and had to travel the 20 minutes into Revelstoke to try to find the children something to eat. The next day, our door was rudely knocked exactly one minute after our allocated breakfast time and we had to request that the pool cover be grudgingly lifted to allow the kids a swim before we left. On the stroke of 11am, our door was thrust open as we were closing our cases and the sheets ripped off one of the beds while we were still in the room. Through it all, we remained polite and gracious, to the point of leaving a sunny comment about the location in the Visitor's Book. As we left we politely asked which walk in the grounds of the hotel would be most suitable for the kids. To our amazement, we were told in no uncertain terms to "get off their land", as they could "not insure guests on their property after 12pm". It was 11.15am. Having chosen Mulvehill Creek for its amazing location and good reviews elsewhere, we were utterly disappointed to have arrived late and then be refused the chance to enjoy the surroundings the morning we left.
We found the proprietors obstructive, rude, and utterly unpleasant to children. If they dislike young people on their property this much, they should not have accepted our booking. I imagine this hotel would be a wonderful find for a couple traveling without kids, happy to stick to the 'rules' like glue, and unphased by the feeling that you are intruding on the private world of the proprietors and their dogs.
On a positive note, the setting is stunning and the breakfast excellent. Unfortunately, for us, Mulvehill Creek was by far the worst hospitality experience we have had in many years of traveling the world with our children.

Arriving an hour before the designated check in. It was clear we were not welcome. I believe they only do this service under sufferance as it is clear they did not want to have people around. It is adverised as an inn with gourmet meals. After a long day on the road we had to return to Revelstoke 20km each way in order to find an evening meal of any kind.

This experience was amazing. Rene and Connie are wonderful hosts. Rene was super helpful; the morning we were supposed to start our road trip, he sent me an email with things to do/see on our drive to Revelstoke. The property itself is a place to explore with its own access to a secluded lake, complimentary canoe, hiking trails, waterfall, reservoir and the list goes on! It gives you an intimate resort-ish feel. Our friends were upgraded to a room with a lake view.

- A swimming pool, garden and hot tub right outside the patio.

- Delicious breakfast with fresh fruits from their very own garden served while enjoying the sun at the patio.

- Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. My friend loved the linens- oh so very soft.

- Freezers provided for your food or booze. Their own collection of bar was also very reasonably priced.

- Bar and a chill-out lounge with pool table etc. in the basement to hang out with friends after dinner.

Didn’t have enough time to explore the property. Didn’t get to check out the chapel they have and a 500 year old iron-made bridal bed, more than a hundred year old chairs etc. (pretty interesting!)

The extra 10-15 minute drive is a little tedious but once you reach the property, you will definitely be blown away!

We stayed at the beginning of our trip through BC and Alberta at the Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn for some days, but we cut down our ambicious itiniary to return rest from the tour. The only really quiet place in hundreds of miles, away from highway and railway or city noise! Cornelia and Rene have made their pensinsula on the shores of Arrow Lake into a hard to describe paradise. We never sleps better in those unique theme rooms, eat better as in their dining room, relaxed deeper on the huge sundeck or at the pool. The highlights included the trail to the top of their Waterfall, paddeling on the silent lake, going back to ourselves in theri romantic chapel and chatting with people from all over the world - some came for a week for the fifth year ...

We had a wonderful room with a view of the mountains and the river. We stayed at the Inn for a total of 16 days. The time of year (March 5 -22) did not allow us to use the snowshoe trails etc. But with no snow there was ample areas to walk about and enjoy the beauty of the acreage It was a little inconvenient as it was 25 minutes from town.
The breakfast was excellent, we prefer a simple meal and that is what we received. One of the managers is a chef and he prepared a great lamb dinner for us on our anniversary! The lodge is somewhat dated, but has a wonderful character that more than makes up for any short comings, The bed was very comfortable and room was very cheerful! The hosts were very accommodating as we were ill for our last 5 days and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs for extra meals.
We would recommend this unique Inn to our friends and would stay again!

I stayed at the Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn while doing some biology field research in the area, and I was immediately struck by the beauty and peacefulness of the place. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and there are forest paths with lots of thriving trees, moss, and flowers. Go see the waterfall if you are there!

One of my absolute favourite things were the gorgeous birds that live nearby and visit the Inn. (There is an abundance of brilliant hummingbirds!). Rene and Connie have seen over 100 species in a year! I was so comfortable and pleased to stay here on my trip. If anyone is interested in owning a little piece of paradise, it is for sale!

We stayed at the Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn while on a trip to visit Revelstoke. Rene and Connie were very friendly and hospitable, they made us feel right at home. The inn is on a very secluded property, the perfect place to get away from it all, with gorgeous views of Arrow Lake and the Rocky Mountains, and a waterfall a short walk from the inn. It has a pool, a hot tub, and a beautiful yard full of birds! There is an adorable wedding chapel and fairy lights all over. Also, for the entrepreneurial types, the property is for sale!
