Nice and spacious, very easy to get to from highway, two gas stations right beside hotel, good buffet breakfast included waffle machine, eggs, sausage and home fries. Fridge in room. Swiss chalet and Boston Pizza very close by. Would definitely stay again. Giant Tiger store across the street. This hotel is 5 min from downtown.

You don't have a lot of choices in Truro. We found this to be the best of the lot. We had a standard room, and a skimpy continental breakfast was included. It is in a convenient location and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had no complaints.

We stayed here in mid June and it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and refilled quickly by a very nice lady. It was very close to restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
We toured over to Burncoat Head Park, about 45 minute drive, to see the low tide of the Bay of Fundy and we were able to walk out and explore. It was amazing to see. We would highly recommend researching this to check the tide schedule and go to see the amazing daily wonder.

My husband stayed there last week while working in the area. Even though he was supposed to stay there the entire week, the room ended up being booked which wouldn't have been a problem but how it was dealt with was. He works 15-18 hr days and received a call from you 10 am saying to come clean out the room or they would do it for you. They are not allowed to leave the job site so that was not an option. All of their belongings we're threw in a box, including all of his perishable food items that were in his fridge. Those food items were also put in a box on the floor and left there for 12 hours which means they were spoiled and had to be thrown out by the time my husband finished work. He ended up throwing out over $50 worth of food. There was no apologies or offers for compensation. Is this how you treat all your customers?

Dear Shelburne1, Please accept my sincerely apology for this incident. If this is the same room, that I was told about last week, the guest was told upon check-in that the hotel was booked on Wednesday and they would have to check-out, as all the rooms were previous booked. Please ask you husband to replace his perishable items and bring me in the recript and I will pay for his replacement cost. Please feel free to call me, if you wish to discuss this further. Sincerely, Patricia McQuillan General Manager

We hoped to do a day trip to nova Scotia. Time doesn't stand still and we didn't give out selves enough business hours to have places open. As we checked in I told them how I was prepared for a night visit they promptly gave me tooth brush tooth paste and deodorant.. IT was a great access to have giant tiger across the street to be able to get. The rest of essentials for a over night stay on a budget . To have a choice of reasturants in walking distance for supper was a great plus. The. Continental breakfast was all wonderful. A extra special thank you goes out to the staff here you are. Extremely kind...

My daughter who is a paramedic in the Canadian Forces went to this hotel to get "shelter from the storm" as Hurricane Bill was making her drive from Borden Ontario, difficult and she was tired, and sick. The military often uses this hotel so they must be used to the form of payment that the military offers. Because my daughter does not have a credit card, they refused her a room. I offered to give my card information over the phone as I have done in the past at other hotels, they said she needed the card and sent her on her way. The safety of our Canadians seems to matter less that the mighty dollar. Guess what! We will NEVER use the Comfort Inn any where!!!!! It is not like she was a bum off the street.......but she was certainly treated worse than that. I called the customer complaint department and the man I spoke to could not have cared less. I was told that this policy is set by the "private" owner and there was no room for any leeway.

We had booked for another hotel in Truro but did not like the location when we arrived so changed to The Comfort Inn.
It is situated in a busy part of the town but it is set well back from the road and we had a surprisingly quiet night.

It is also situated just a short distance from the 'Tidal Bore' viewing area so is very convenient.
The room was an average size hotel room and was very well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was nice as well with complimentary toiletries. It provided every comfort we needed. We were unaware of any noise from neighbouring rooms either.

We ate at 'Smitty's Restaurant ' which is just across the street.
Breakfast was served at the hotel. It was quite adequate but it was a bit like feeding time at the zoo. The staff just stood and watched people eating. Very disconcerting !
This is a hotel I would recommend.

The location of this place is convenient. It's close to the highway and there's a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The parking lot is large and can accommodate large vehicles or vehicles with trailers. The rooms are pretty standard for a Comfort Inn, nice bed, decent bathroom, nice sized TV. One thing that did stand out though was that this hotel offered a much better cable package than most Comfort Inns that I have stayed at. Overall a nice place to spend a night or two.
