Due to Covid, we obviously have not dined out in over 5 months. We are a family of 6 who would often enjoy meals out and had some awesome " go to" spots. We live in Toronto, but recently purchased a cottage on Otter Lake in Seguin.

To celebrate my daughter's upcoming 19th birthday, we made a reservation at the Log Cabin Inn after hearing several people recommend we try it.

I cannot express how AMAZING the food was. Upon a recommendation from our awesome server, I had the Seafood Risotto and it was seriously filled with delicious scallops, shrimp and lobster.

Every person at the table literally devoured their food, and were so thrilled with their meal choice.

It is a quaint and rustic spot and we will most certainly be returning soon!

We felt very safe, all the servers were wearing masks and wore gloves when delivering food. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and just happy to see people eating in their restaurant again.

A must try if you are up near Parry Sound!!!!!

We spent 3 nights in this small Parry Sound Inn and wish we could spend a few more nights. Although our room was a bit loud at night, we still managed to sleep well as the beds were so comfortable. The meals in the on site restaurant exceeded our expectations. Service from the wait staff and Kathy the owner was attentive and great. This is a mid priced - slightly pricey inn but definitely value for the dollar when site seeing Parry Sound ! A great get away from pandemic blues.

The Log Cabin Inn truly is a hidden gem in the heart of cottage country. The accommodations are very welcoming, and perfect for couples to relax and unwind in comfort and serenity. The cabins features include a large room with fireplace, whirlpool tub, mini fridge, and large, cozy king-size bed. The room also comes with coffee/tea maker, as well as heated floors for those cold winter nights. If you're looking for somewhere to escape to in the Parry Sound/ Muskoka region, I cannot think of a more unique and memorable lodging destination.

Our dinner at The Log Cabin Inn was as outstanding tonight, as it was six years ago when we first discovered this treasure of Parry Sound. This was our first experience dining inside since 2020 went crazy, and we felt very safe. The food is outstanding, our service was perfect, and the wine list was excellent. Thank you for another memorable anniversary dinner!

This review is for the restaurant only. We've been dining here for over 35 years and have always enjoyed ourselves but yesterday we went for our 45th wedding anniversary and were greatly disappointed. The experience started off fine - we were seated, ordered and received drinks and were shown the list of specials by the maitre 'd all in a timely matter. My husband and I both ordered the daily special soup and we were latter told that they were out of it although it was only 6:30 on a Saturday night in a half-full restaurant. Oh well, we switched to garlic bread with cheese. Then we waited. We had to ask the waitress for more water 3 times, the appetizer dishes and cocktail glasses were never removed from the table, she never asked if we would like anything else to drink and to top it all off when I received my order of surf & turf I asked where the drawn butter was (as was clearly mentioned on the menu, we double checked) we got a look as if she had no idea what we were talking about. Then she brought a butter warmer with a tablespoon of solid garlic butter (it was obvious that it's the same butter they use on the garlic bread). I had to stir it with a spoon to get it to melt. My husband had the lamb, which was good, and my steak was fine but it took and hour and a half to bring out the entrees after we ordered them! We quickly asked for the bill because we'd been there over 2 hours and complained about the poor service to the maitre 'd and all we got was "sorry". The management has changed in the past year and this is the first time we've been here since then but we'll be finding another fine dining restaurant in the future.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Inn. Our room was comfortable and very clean with lovely big windows to enjoy the scenery outside. We had dinner in the dining room and we were both extremely impressed with the food and service. I enjoyed a well made martini and we both had wine with our dinner. My Icelandic cod with lobster tarragon sauce was fantastic and my husbands steak was one of the best he's had in a long, long time. Perfectly cooked medium, with a very flavourful jus. Our veggies were tender crisp and the multigrain pilaf with my fish was perfect. We also enjoyed a delicious apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert along with very good espresso and port. We are already planning our return for next year. What a wonderful spot!

The room was clean, and even came with a bottle of foam disinfectant. The bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked - including the jacuzzi tub. The large room offered comfortable seating at a table, a desk, Internet access and television. A covered porch offered a sheltered location for two chairs and a small table. Parking was, quite literally, at the door. The room was close to the main building where excellent dinners are served. The staff were pleasant and efficient. We accidentally left something behind and we heard back from the hotel minutes after sending an e-mail. Service like that is priceless!

Travelling to northern Ontario during Fall colour season is the right time to explore something(s) different, so we did, with finding and enjoying the facility of the Log Cabin Inn. Kathy and all of her staff were friendly and helpful. Not only providing sumptuous meals in the dining room but helping us with exploration ideas for the days we prowled around the greater Parry Sound area vistas. The price was right and we would highly recommend a stay with the Log Cabin Inn folk. Rooms were spacious and exceedingly clean; important as we are climbing out of pandemic restriction(s).
It is easy to see why travellers and locals seek out time at Log Cabin Inn.

We hired Kathy and her team at Log Cabin for our original large wedding in Parry Sound. After many cancelations, postponements, venue changes, and general covid accommodations, we were finally able to celebrate. Kathy and her team made every step very easy; always willing to change on a whim and arrange for delivery/support as we needed. And of course the food was AMAZING! From hors d'oeuvres through dinner and dessert, our guests were very happy and very full! Thank you to everyone over at Log Cabin for helping to make our day so memorable and for helping it all run so smoothly

As our wedding plans changed due to Covid, we needed to find dinner options quickly.. Kathy was absolutely amazing to work with, she provided menu samples and quotes within hours of speaking on the phone. She was always quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating to creating a menu that worked for us. It was important for us to provide our family and friends with a delicious meal. We had a lovely steak dinner and all of our guests had nothing but great things to say! Would highly recommended for catering or dining at the restaurant.. the prime rib and surf and turf are a few favourites! Thank you Kathy and staff!
