Detailed Reviews
We just spent 5 nights at Rundle Mountain RV Canmore (August 2021) and we were very disappointed. The Campground is very close to Canmore Town Centre - but it is very poorly maintained. There were a few permanent sites that were just junk yards. Although they advertise full hook ups it appeared that they were full of trailers for rent and short term rentals did not have an option of full hook up. There are only 4 bathrooms for the campground. Each bathroom has one shower and toilet. My first impression was that they were dirty. On our second night 2 of the bathrooms had toilets that backed up and were out of use. A repair man was there and the sewer auger was down the toilets for the remainder of our stay. The smell was bad. I understand these issues can happen, but what was not acceptable was that the bathrooms were not cleaned. The serwer auger was all all over the bathrooms and the grounds with no cleaning. The remaining 2 bathrooms were not cleaned and looked as though they had not been cleaned for a very long time. After the second night I went and complained about the filth in the bathrooms. Nothing happened. On our 4th day I went to the office and asked the person in the office to follow me, whilst walking to the bathroom area the other campground worker (don't know if they were the owners or just workers) was approaching, I asked him to also follow me. I opened the door to one bathroom and asked them "How can you think that this is acceptable?" The sites were $50 per night for power and water alone. The bathroom I showed them, as an example, had paper and dirt all over the floor, the bathmats looked like they had never been lifted to clean under and the basin, toilet and shower look dirty. I also told them that I was disappointed that the campground staff had not offered an apology, portaloos or compensation for the fact that only 2 washrooms were functional.
The following morning I was pleased to see the toilet, basin and floor of this washroom had been wiped, however the filth under the floor mat was still present. I could not believe, however, that they had only done a quick clean of the one washroom I had shown as an example...the others were just as filthy!

Stayed in May.
Electricity supposed to be 30 amps, tripped watching TV and little else in use.
Sap trees everywhere. Took weeks to fully rid ourselves of seeds.
Our 2020 RV awning is destroyed, as the stains are impossible to get out.
Sites are way too close together
Long term sites are not subject to pride of ownership.
Pros
Very close to Canmore
Host helpful by phone (didn't meet in person)
Accept dogs - though other people's bark and roam free into your site area.

Okay I never write bad reviews but oh my goodness. WTH? When booking this campsite I read all the negative reviews but I thought to myself "how bad can it really be?" It was BAD. I'm not sure why some have commented the sites are "rustic"..they're not rustic they're unkept. They are plain dirty and need a good mow. The washrooms are disgusting - I did not shower in them as I was too scared I might catch something. I was even scared to use the toilet. No paper towel, no soap. It is clear the owners do not take pride in this RV Park. So sad. Our site backed right onto a train track and on top of that it stunk like sewage. We had to go out for dinner as I could not cook or eat around that smell. On top of all that the wifi did not work at all. Thank goodness we were only booked for one night. I could not get out of there fast enough. I would not recommend this site unless you are absolutely desperate but if you do book here be prepared for a terrible experience. Hopefully the owners will see all these negative reviews and maybe take some time to actually take care of this property.

Needed a place to winter camp in my campereized mini van.
They said they had electricity, firepits, toilets and showers.
Arrived late at night. Couldn't find the electricity as it was hidden far behind the fence but when I did find it, it was only for RV's. So didn't have any heat at night. As for the fire pit.... hm well the medal circle that laid on the side of a tree migh be considered a firepit but couldn't move it to the ground as it was frozen solid to the tree..... As for the bathroom, when I arried the door was left open, was dirty, had mold, and stunk. When I went to use it in the morning the door was closed and code box didn't work. Paid $45 for absolutely nothing. This place is a restabule for garabe. Metal car parts and broken things all over the place. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Hi,
We stayed here for a week great location. Front desk are great. Property is rustic to say the least. But we had a great stay. If you need something they will help.
My husband is a very light sleeper and had no issues with the trains. You are in a small town. Trains are everywhere. Do your research if you want quite stay outside of town. I found it pretty quite though.
If you are here to sit at your site all day then I understand the reviews as this is not a glamorous campground. The Sani dump station is at the Canmore Information Center which is 2 minutes away.
Great location.

This weekend we stayed at Rundle Mountain RV Park. It definitely had its pros and cons. Pros - close to the highway, the town of Canmore, and a biking/hiking trail. As well the price was decent for full service. Cons - run down (long term residents sites were not well kept) and shabby, one of the long term residents must have thought he was a DJ as loud music was played almost 24/7, and the train running behind the park is frequent and quite loud during the night (which to their credit is mentioned on the website). Overall, if you need a place to spend the night and grab supplies in town, this is the place for you. Otherwise, give it a miss.

Had no choice but to book here, knew the reviews were bad, but I needed a place to put my RV. I will not do it again. They put no care into anything! Bathroom were disgusting no soap. Camp grounds are not maintained! Yes it is next to the train and they say it in there website but that was not as bad as the mosquitoes, the constant smell of pot from a black trailer that I think stays all year, and the downwind smell of the bathroom. Considering every lot is full they must be making money. Put some TLC into it please.

Definitely worse campsite we have ever visited in 20 years of camping. Bathrooms were disgusting and site was also filthy. 30 Amp..Haha would barely run a toaster. Was so disappointing but, Canmore is pretty awesome place

The park is very unkept with palettes, broken furniture and garbage everywhere. The ground isvery dusty, grass dead, dust will fill the entire site when you walk around. Just disgusting. The staff were hard to talk to and and a bit rude. We planned late and was not able to get the national park campground, this was the only choice left. Next time we will make sure to plan ahead to have more chances with decent sites.

The best thing that could happen to this campground is if it were bulldozed to level. It is a slum. The showers and restrooms were disgusting, the office was filthy. They have campers that are permanent and have junky trailers, and messy yards.
