Me and my family we're here for the May long weekend. We looked online for hotels near Jasper but it's all fully booked. So I looked at Hinton and found this hotel. Pictures online looked like it is well clean, looked okay for a family of four. So I decided to go ahead as we are in a rush of getting a hotel for our trip.

As soon as we get there then the chaos starts. The receptionist said that we can access the back door through our hotel key but we did exactly what she said and we can't open the back door. It was raining that day so me and my husband we're already soaking wet. For 20 minutes doing that we decide to go back to the main lobby and the receptionist literally just went downstairs and open the back door for us. Not happy it is, we just went in. We asked for a non smoking room as we have a 4 year old twin girls with us. Bit we had a SMOKING room as they are full. Really? We booked ahead of time and it says on the booking NON SMOKING.
That was the most uncomfortable and hard to breathe sleep ever. I felt right bad for my kids as even them they cant sleep because of the smoke.
Will not recommend this hotel for a family. Or make sure for families with small kids don't let them put you in a smoking room. It is very disgusting!!!!

Ms. T, We have reviewed your reservation and it was confirmed that you booked a smoking room with the OTA (online travel agent) booking.com during an extremely busy time of the year (May Long Weekend). You may have booked ahead of time but our non smoking rooms were sold out for some time in advance of that weekend. Our property receives all booking.com reservations in real time and as a result your reservation was entered via booking.com as a smoking room. If you like we can verify with booking.com that your reservation was booked as a smoking room. Our property was sold out like you mentioned many in the Jasper and Hinton area were that weekend. We try to accommodate all guests in a situation where a mistake is made in regards to a smoking room but we were unfortunately unable to switch your room due to full occupancy. Sorry for the inconvenience and in the future please review all room booking details via OTA's carefully. Thank you for staying with the Crestwood Hotel.

Clean Spacious rooms. Staff were very helpful. No microwave in the room but they have the restaurant area set up for guests to use. Free coffee. Lots of parking. Next to highway but we heard no highway noise. Grocery store within a block.

We came to Hinton to enjoy Jasper. We booked this hotel for a night and would highly recommend. Looks a little rough from the outside and the lobby but staff are exceptionally nice and accommodating. Rooms are nice and very clean. Thanks for the stay!

I booked a room at this facility for 9/1/04, and coldn't make it up there because of passport problems. I called to cancel three days before the date I was scheduled to show up, and was assured the cancellation was all taken care of. The thieves billed me anyway, and now claim I never called. They want a "cancellation number" (from an independent hotel with no computer reservation system??? RIGHT!) which I was never given. The woman on the phone won't identify herself, so I'll just have to chalk this up to experience. The probably do it on a regular basis to out-of-town customers. This predatory practice is what gives independent hotels a bad name.

Beds had insects. The front desk lady wouldn't help with anything and had a terrible attitude. The showers didn't work. Would go from hot to cold without touching the tap. There were cigarette burns in the comforter. Everything was out of order. Very very dirty. For 140 dollars a night it has to be the worst value I've ever seen

My teenage daughter and I stayed at the Crestwood while on route to a sporting event in Edmonton. The hotel and lobby were very dated and tired, as was the bathroom but the room was surprisingly decent. At approximately 1:30am, we were awoken to very loud yelling, screaming, swearing and banging coming from the room next to us. It was scary and unnerving. If I felt safe leaving the room, I would have left. This continued for 2 hours and after several calls to the front desk, the RCMP arrived and a very confrontational arrest was made with a naked man being drug out of the hotel and his girlfriend screaming down the halls. It took 6 RCMP officers to get the man in the car. At this time, it was after 4am. It took us another hour to calm down and get to sleep.

When we checked out, the clerk said sorry but we were not offered any compensation for the fact we lost 4 hours of sleep and went through this experience. In fact, she noted that 6 RCMP officers 'was a record' from her time working there, which led me to believe that police presence is a regular occurrence.

My advice is to pay a bit more and stay somewhere safe.

Our plans were to stay here for two nights, for the price I expected a bed to be worth sleeping on. They say " queen bed" but we got a double and there's four people three adults and a kid. It was the most itchiest bed ever. Till this day I'm still itchy a bit. There was only one pillow on each bed and for a " queen bed " i expected a couple of pillows. I woke up with a sore back from the mattress. And we told the girl on the front desk about the horrible bed she didn't even care.To the brick mattress and the stuffy room also note that you cannot open the window, you're better off sleeping in your car. Oh and " free wifi " on the big sign, bull, I couldn't connect on the Internet as the wifi isn't even secured! Also the pool added on the hotel the pool looked like a spooky dungeon, water was super cold. We decided to cancel our hotel and we didn't get on our money. The receptionist in the front was not friendly. A friend of mine sleeping was having nightmares so if you're of ghosts don't sleep here. You could hear everything from other rooms such a snoring, farting, burping and other noises. You could hear people in the hallway all night and I couldn't sleep at all. As for the money they're getting they should really put some money into the business.

Hello Natalia K, We apologize that you did not enjoy your stay at our property. However, we have never promoted selling double queen beds on any online booking websites. Our page on all online booking websites clearly indicate our property only sells deluxe double beds in each room. While we reviewed your stay at our property we found that you did not make any complaints during or after your stay with us and that you did not make any requests for reimbursements at either our front desk or with the online booking website you made your reservation with. In addition we haven't had a pool area for some time as its been under renovation to a full size gym area.
