My husband and I had our honeymoon here last week and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was fantastic, and the food was amazing. We didn’t have a single complaint. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty the whole week. Although there were other guests (I think they said 20 total?!), we felt like we had the entire island to ourselves. We spent an afternoon in the main pool and had the place completely our selves! They brought us drinks and fresh salsa and chips along with some fresh fruit. It’s paradise there. Very calm, and quiet. Breakfast lunch and dinner were all 100/10. The menu changes every single night for dinner. Lunch and breakfast change depending on the day of the week (all fresh & filling options). Dinner most nights for me was filet mignon or fresh fish. We even tried duck 👌🏻 my husband was thrilled with his grilled lobster. Said it’s the best he’s ever had (and he’s pickier than me).
We explored the whole island via golf cart, snorkeled, fished. We also relaxed by our own private pool, and enjoyed breakfast in the room some days (Thank you Apri 🫶🏻) It’s casual but so beautiful and classy. They asked for feedback and we truly had none. Housekeeping was excellent. The room is perfectly setup for privacy and sleeping in, or enjoying the breeze and the view. We had the most wonderful time and we cannot wait to go back. I’d also like to say, we had some travel issues and arrived a day late. Ambergris was very responsive and updated our reservations and flights immediately. They made sure we had lunch when we landed, and lunch to take with us when we left. They thought of all the little things.. and then some!!

We originally booked the Alexandra Resort in June. Since the resort was not opened for our travel dates we were upgraded to this amazing resort. The 8 of us were put up in a 4 bedroom house overlooking Columbus beach. I have traveled to many Caribbean islands and have been to many resorts none compare to this one. Upon arrival to Providenciales we were taken to the airplane hanger to take the 20 minute flight to Ambergris Cay. Once we reached the resort we were sanitized, temperature checked, given champagne and met our most amazing and attentive butlers, Garey and Damion. We were taken by golf carts, which was the mode of transportation on the island, to Calico Jack restaurant for a snack as we did not have time to eat before arrival. We then were taken to our house overlooking the ocean with a pool and rooms with outdoor showers. We were given a cell phone with Garey and Damion’s numbers to communicate with them. They gave us a list of the excursions that were booked for us. We were booked for fishing, sunset cruise, tubing, and snorkeling with lunch on a private beach. I was a little disappointed that we only had one day of snorkeling as that is my favorite activity. Garey was able to schedule us a second snorkeling trip. We were taken to a reef and were able to jump right off the boat. The reef was spectacular. Thanks again Garey!!! The restaurant staff was so accommodating and the food was so fresh and delicious. The bartenders Angie, Jay and Junie were awesome. Try the Angie special! They will make you whatever drink you can think of. The last night we had the the best chocolate martinis. What a wonderful and safe getaway. Being on this island and this resort was like a dream come true. I can’t say enough about this resort and the entire staff that took care of all our needs. I’m already planning our next visit! Can’t wait to go back!!!!

If I write the review they deserve, more people will flock to the island and enjoy the stunning rooms, friendly "on it" staff, fresh ingredient meals, and some of the best dining I have had in a long time.
So instead I will write how the management was so friendly and on top of every request but sometimes it took a full 3 min for them to make us a new drink at the bar (can you imagine?!?!).
Or how for deep sea fishing they had the nerve to find the best spots and then baited my hooks for me. Ugh!
Then the chef cook my catch with a special tandoori rub for my dinner that night.
Lastly, the friendly housekeeping staff kept anticipating our needs before we could ask for them. How presumptuous and accurate!
Who do they think they are that they can take care of every need so that we could just "be" and enjoy paradise - breakfast by our pool, or fresh chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon for a snack, or setting us at a romantic table to watch the sunset.

We didn't know what to expect going in, but this trip and resort exceeded all expectations. We were on our babymoon looking for somewhere that was following safety precautions and also wanted to avoid crowds, this location did both! I felt incredibly safe here and it could not have felt more private!
Where this place really stands out is the staff. The staff mainly reside on the island, so they aren't coming and going, and you get to know everyone by day two. Vice versa, they know you and anticipate your every need. A few special shoutouts to Victor, Pedro, Jay, Rahul, Chef Carmen, and of course our amazing Butler "Awesome Damian" who brought this pregnant lady snacks every few hours without me asking :-). In addition, the water sports crew was so fun and really went above and beyond.
Our weather was so-so, so we had to cancel a few of the water activities since it was choppy, but that can't be helped. They made up for it on the pretty days fitting in all the activities we wanted to do! The beaches and facilities were gorgeous and top notch (crystal clear water), we could want for nothing. And even on the cloudy days, sitting by your own private heated pool reading a book was so relaxing.
The private flight over to the island is really cool, on the way over we had a 10 seater private plane, on the way back it was a tiny 4 seater, but the views are incredible and I felt very safe.
A few tips: We flew in on a Tuesday and out on a Saturday - I had purchased FastTrack but definitely didn't need it during those days.. You MAY need it if flying on more popular days though, the airport is a little bit unorganized. Once you land in Provo, any of the airport staff outside will call the car which takes you (5 minute drive) to the private airport where you board the plane over to the island. That part was super seamless.
Bring your own sunscreen, you can of course buy some in the shop, but it's a bit expensive. I didn't see any mosquitos at all during our trip, but we had a pretty strong breeze going the whole time.
The "club house" looked amazing for families with kids, they had an arts and crafts room, pool tables, ping pong, kayaks, paddle boards, private beach, everything a kid could want with a bar for parents if they felt inclined. It seemed like a really good place to bring older kids. We didn't spend as much time there, but Frantz seemed like he would be excellent to help watch the kids and make it fun for them.
My only recommendation on improvement is some better signage on the island. Since you are each given your own golf cart and are free to explore the island, a few more directional signs would have been helpful; although by the end we figured it out!
Can't wait to come back, thanks again to Ambergris Cay for an excellent trip we won't forget.

From the moment we arrived on the island we were blown away by the amenities, privacy, natural beauty, and incredibly friendly staff. Every aspect of our trip was exceptional. We were greeted by Rahul upon arrival and couldn't be more impressed by the way his staff catered to our every need. Their proactive approach and genuine attention to detail was unlike any other 5 star resort we have visited. Rahul consistently mad a point to chat with us and find unique ways to add incredible memories to our trip (a private candle lit dinner, special deserts to go, fresh ceviche from the fish we caught earlier that day and much more!) We stayed in a beach front 1 bedroom villa that was extremely spacious and well appointed. The views were breathtaking and every detail of the room was meticulously thought out. We had the pleasure of meeting Orlando, our butler upon arrival and he quickly became like a part of our family. Every aspect of our experience was first class and Orlando was the one who facilitated it all. From special snacks and cheese plates, to special drinks and island lunches, he was always on the ball and extremely proactive. I cannot stress how genuinely friendly and accommodating the staff was. Every person we encountered on the island greeted us with a big smile and embraced us as if they had known us for years. We were very sad to say goodbye, and can't wait to come back soon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the beginning of November, and only wish we could have stayed longer! We adore Turks and Caicos, having visited Providenciales numerous times, so we were excited to try something new this trip by visiting Ambergris Cay, with the extra money we saved during Covid. As travel lovers, healthcare workers, and having been grounded for the past 2 years, this trip was everything we wanted and needed! It was absolute, pure luxury and relaxation.
The flight on the private plane was such a cool experience, we could not stop taking photos and videos! It was only minutes after landing that we were in our villa, in awe of how beautiful the space was. The villa is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The deck and private plunge pool right out front, with such a gorgeous beach just beyond that, felt like heaven.
We spent our days alternating between the beach, our private pool, the main pool/bar/restaurant area and cruising around the island on our own golf cart. We loved the freedom to just explore on our own, finding a new spot on the island to enjoy each day. The beach outside our villa was possibly my most favourite ever! (And we are serious beach goers). The sand was SO soft and the water SO clear and turquoise. The main pool was never busy and the views across the pool out onto the ocean were so pretty. Photos really do not even do this place justice.
In addition to the incredible amenities and natural beauty, the service and staff at Ambergris Cay is what makes this place so special. We truly enjoyed every single person we encountered, and after only 4 days, it felt like we were a family! Marian was efficient in welcome centre. Raul, the manager was always kindly checking in and genuinely interested in ensuring a top notch experience. Our butler, William was perfect! Always easy to reach and always able to fulfil every request! ALL the restaurant and bar staff were so friendly, and of course the water sports crew were awesome!! We had SO much fun with these guys, they brought the vibe 100%! Marcus, Marlin, and 2-3 others whose names are slipping my mind right now!
A note on accessibility. I use a small, manual wheelchair and the property was quite easy to get around because I was able to put my wheelchair in the back of the golf cart, so there really isn't much "walking/wheeling" required! The area around the main pool and restaurant is flat with no stairs required. There is a boardwalk which connects to the main pool/restaurant which is nice to roll on and extends around to the villas but will then end in the sand. There are multiple entrances into the villa and if entering from the deck or the side, there is only 1 step.
We cannot wait to return, hopefully sooner than later!!!!

This was our first trip in two years because of Covid. Needless to say I was a bit nervous and excited at the same time. I was celebrating my B’earthday and our 20th anniversary all in one. My husband picked this location because he knows I didn’t want to be crowded into a hotel or close spaces with too many people. Let me tell you…IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Starting from the private plane ride to the island with the native female pilot I couldn’t stop smiling😁. So many personal touches and attention to detail the entire stay. We were greeted warmly and given our own personal golf cart to navigate to our private villa. The view from this villa was so beautiful and tranquil. And for the entire stay our Personal assistant (William) tended to our every need. After a lunch date on a deserted island we Snorkeled off the coast. (I did more floating in a life vest really, lol) And let me mention how attentive to my culinary needs they were! They had amazing chefs that delivered all-inclusive delicious vegan meals all day long! Raul (the resort manager) made sure everything was perfect. There is so much more I could elaborate on; the romantic private Oceanside dinner, private sunset cruise (Merlyn and William boat crew Thank You!!!) exhilarating electric bike rides, dips in the private pool with poolside drinks (Victor, Jay and Pedro) beach side massages (Dennis) everyday…All INCLUDED! But you have to experience this yourself. You will land back on the main land just as smooth as our pilot did for our trip back…like butter.

I don’t even know where to start, this was hands down the most incredible trip we have ever been on. Immediately on arrival you’re greeted with champagne and friendly faces. Then given your golf cart that is all yours during the stay, such a fun way to explore the beautiful island and get around.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite on the beach and the view felt unreal. Waking up there every morning was fantastic. The activities available are a great balance of relaxation, fun and getting to know the area. Also plenty of time to yourself to check out the historical ruins, flamingos that like to hang out by the marina or just chill out in your own private pool.
The food every day was unique and delicious with lots of creative options. The kitchen also was always very accommodating if you had something specific in mind.
So many of the staff were awesome but these are the people that really stood out for us.
Clemente was incredibly attentive and helpful, sending reminders of the days activities and even bringing us breakfast unprompted when we had an earlier start one of the days.
Rahul was checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we could possibly want.
Marcus was so much fun for fishing and snorkeling, he also had some really cool information about the island.
The massage therapists are awesome! Highly recommend the morning couples massage :)
Housekeeping staff we didn’t see as much but they kept our suite impeccable, even folding clothes we’d left around and always snuck in to do turndown service at the perfect time.
All of the serving and bar staff were awesome, anticipating anything we could want. Also all we’re very friendly and happy to chat which made it feel more homey and fun. The names of the members that really stood out to us were Pedro, Jay, Naika, Marceli, Chef Adi, Victor.

You will be taken care of by the most amazing group of people I’ve ever met. Winston was our go-to and was available at any time to make any wish we may have had a reality. Johandry was our favorite server and we looked forward to seeing her at all of our meals. Jose ran the floating tiki bar and was a great bartender and even better DJ! Rachel at the front office was just lovely! I could go on and on - everyone was just the best
Our villa was stunning, beautifully decorated, our own private pool, views of the Atlantic, super comfy beds, and tons of towels. Housekeeping comes 2x a day to keep our rooms tidy and our fridge was stocked with drinks at all times.
Getting here is easy either via private jet which can land directly on the island or Commercial to Provinciales and Ambergris will pick you up and fly you to the island.
We did a sunset cruise, had a beach picnic on a deserted island, learned how to Hobi Cat, paddle boarded, swam, and we loved having 2 gold carts to explore the island.
They will be opening a new clubhouse, getting yoga/fitness and tennis instructors soon which will be great.
Pack cute sundresses, shorts, and a bunch of swimsuits, sunscreen, bug spray and maybe some snacks like chips and candy if you like that kind of stuff!
We had a magical time and will be back for sure!!

The BEST honeymoon destination. We got back from our honeymoon this past weekend and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. Ambergris Cay was the perfect place for us, especially during another COVID surge. Our beach-front suite was immaculate with thorough cleaning services daily and the resort itself was extremely private and not crowded what-so-ever. Everything here is personalized to you and what you would like to get out of your vacation. We took advantage of all that we could. Some of our favorite things we did at Ambergris Cay...tour the island on our private golf cart (the most incredible views), snorkeling, the Tiki Bar at Little Ambergris, reef fishing (you eat what you catch!), and complementary 30 minute massages every day! The staff here is PHENOMENAL. Orlando our butler was fantastic and made sure we always had everything we needed from food to drink to excursions. The restaurant staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating. Rahul, you went above and beyond to make sure every meal we ate was delicious. Johandry and Pedro, you are amazing! We especially loved getting to know our bartenders too. Shout out to Alejandro (Pato!), Victor, Angie, and Jay who made us some awesome cocktails. Honestly, we have not one complaint from this vacation, besides the fact that we had to come home! Cannot wait to come back here some day.

Thanks for your interest in Ambegris Cay. The lower # bunglalows (e.g. 1-5) are a longer walk to the boardwalk and Calico, and are considered 'more remote' by most guests.
There are more places to choose from in the Big Ambergris Cay area.
