I stayed here for one night and was placed in a ground floor room which was clean and quiet. The staff were all very nice and there was plenty of hand sanitizer on site and cleaning wipes provided in the room. The bar/restaurant was closed due to the pandemic but there are options close by and staff are eager to assist. The staff provided exceptional customer service as I forgot my bag which I did not notice until I arrived home. I opened my email to see that I had already been contacted about my bag and was given a direct line to contact. I arranged a UPS pickup and forwarding the labels. The bag was packed in 2 boxes with great care and was immediately responsive when I reached out for a status update (the UPS website was slow to update). A special thank you to Allen and Amal and any other staff who assisted. I would definitely stay again!

Stayed here 1 night and the biggest positive is the bed. Very comfy! But, I need to be honest about cleanliness the way some other reviews were. It was evident that the sweep/vacuum was done very quickly and not entirely. Dirt, hair (lots). The shower, if cleaned, was done quickly/poorly. Dried shampoo/conditioner on the walls from previous people, hair, dirt around the ledges. Something that can be easily done with a cleaning brush. Rooms are clearly not maintained when it comes to basics such as caulking in shower, paint, baseboards.. which is not a big deal but if you consider their daily rate, its excessive for the type of property they maintain. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were much much cleaner and well taken care of.

This is your average four points hotel which is good enough for a short stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the bathroom is the same. However, when it comes to general cleanliness (not covid related), some improvement is definitely needed. It seems that cleaning is performed in a rush as there was dust and a lot cobwebs in the corners of our room, behind the sofa, and in the bottom corner of our beds.
Staff resources is also an issue as when we arrived there was only one person who was handling the front desk, guest requests, and came up to our room to clean the corners. I really appreciated his service, but management should review staff resources for the evening shift and ensure there are sufficient personnel available to handle guest needs.
Lastly, the swimming pool was nice but the water a bit too cold and again, it could have been cleaner as there was way too much chlorine poured inside.

My family and I chose to stay here to break up our drive up North. This was the first time we have stayed in a hotel since the pandemic and we were a bit nervous but this hotel advertised advance cleaning measures were in place. When arrived at our room there was popcorn on the floor and another persons clothes in the dresser. We called the front desk and they just took the clothes but didn’t offer us a different room. We were going to ignore it but then we opened the fridge and there was half eaten cheesecake and cold meats. We called again to request a refund and they wouldn’t give us one, they told us to “go out for dinner and they would get us a different room” they also proceeded to tell us that all of their housecleaning called in sick that day. So I imagine the room wasn’t cleaned at all. We went out for dinner and didn’t come back. We didn’t feel valued as a customer. The reception was extremely rude to us.

Dear guest, this does not sound like our hotel. We will reach out and rectify this situation. We strive to provide clean accommodations and good service. If something like this occurred a mistake could have been made where you were checked in to a room that had not been cleaned at all. We would not leave a room in this condition as all rooms are thoroughly inspected after cleaning. We apologize and will investigate.

I usually stay next door but unfortunately they were full booked. To start, our room wasn’t ready (after 3) when we arrived, desk clerk had trouble finding our reservation. The room wasn’t great (base of toilet leaked) and the sheets didn’t fit the bed….I think they used king sheets on a queen bed so the sheets kept coming off. I felt bad for housekeeping (the one girl we saw was still cleaning @9 pm) not sure if she was the only housekeeper!
We were asked upon arrival if we wanted a breakfast bag or the next morning we said, no (all the restaurants in Barrie were open so I do not understand why the kitchen sitting area was closed) guess they are trying to save money. Do not change your mind about having a breakfast bag the next morning….apparently you have to make up your mind when you check in….so we left….no breakfast bag!
For $210 a night (tax included) it wasn’t anything special! It was my first & last time staying there!

Dear guest, we are sorry to see your room was not done on time and you felt you didn’t get value for your money. That’s a frustrating feeling and we understand that the sheet should have been correct and toilet not leak. I hope you reported it so it could be rectified. However to assume we only have 1 staff member is presumptuous. We have staff on hand in the evening to help rectify some of the issues you had, had they been reported to us. We hope travellers understand that the safest way for them and us is to have breakfast in the comfort of their rooms during these times. Our restaurant is small and to safely distance everyone from each other in a lobby restaurant open to the public is not possible at the moment with the restrictions in place by the provincial government.

The dining room not open, breakfast came in a paper bag for take-out, the rooms have paper-thin walls so you can hear everything from the next room. Our neighbours in next room partied and carried on until 1:00AM. We had banged up furniture in the bedroom and the decor was sparse, and cold . We got a "seniors discount" but it was a lousy stay for the price. It was much like staying in a cheap roadside motel, but it cost nearly $200!! for one night.

this property was a bit more expensive than other options but it was also much nicer than other ones i considered. the room was much larger than average and the place was nice and clean. there wasnt many other guests at the time so there was no noise or parking problems, didnt even encounter another guest in the elevator during my stay at this hotel. The location was good for me but depending on what brings you to the barrie area it might not be ideal for some others, make sure you check the map before you book. overall i would highly recommend this hotel unless you are on a budget and looking for a cheapo hotel, then this isnt the place for you. I liked it and give it a recommendation and 5 stars.

Do not stay at this hotel.
The hotel made an unauthorized charge on my credit card after I checked out. When confronted, the manager said it was a system glitch and did not apologize. She then hung up on me.
We had 4 rooms booked as a family. I paid full flexible rate of $250 a night for a suite, the rest on points. We came to the hotel at the same time as 5 other kid hockey teams. The hotel was a madhouse. There were kids running down the hall, pushing the office chairs down the hall, playing hockey in the hallway, parents drinking openly in the hallway, and teenagers making tik tok videos at 11pm. No mask enforcement at all.
My family and I made repeated phone calls to reception and every time they said they would talk to the families but the noise kept coming.
For sure the noise is not due to the hotel but the hotel has no manager on site throughout the night. Just ONE staff at 10pm. When I asked for a manager, I was told she would be in the next morning at 7am. Having noisy kids is understandably not the hotel’s fault—having no management on site to address issues is unacceptable. When the most basic value of a hotel is a restful night sleep and when that cannot be delivered or enforced when raised, the hotel bears responsibility.
When I emailed the general manager regarding this, all was offered was 5000 points. Unacceptable.
Also, elite members, all they serve you for breakfast is a bagel, fruit, and yoghurt. Poor breakfast offering.

Checked in, hotel parking lot seemed very busy. Found it odd that they advertised free breakfast to go and was asked at the reception if we wanted a muffin or a granola bar or a yogurt or cereal and apple or orange juice box but whatever we went with it. Got to our room and sat on the bed and jumped as there was a huge circular wet spot on one of the beds. So strange! We couldn’t figure how it got there. Wasn’t the ceiling leaking maybe it was the sheets not being fully dried? Couldn’t be. Anyway we called down and asked for another room but they were sold out. They said they’d look into it so we left for dinner and on the way down let reception know our room number and we were leaving if they could please fix the sheets. They looked at us very strange and I agree it was odd there was a wet spot but they said they didn’t have housekeeping but they would fix it. Came back after dinner and there was a new fitted sheet and a top sheet on the bed but no comforter or duvet. It definitely did not match the other queen bed in the room. No comforter! We were too tired to complain and just went to bed. At 9am we had a knock and there was a plastic bag with chocolate cake muffins, yogurt and drinking boxes for breakfast as requested with a napkin and spoons. We got what we asked for. Easy checkout.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March of 2023. The day we checked out we realized that we left some personal belongings in the hotel room, I called the hotel that same day to see if they could locate and hold the items for us, we were informed that we would receive a call back after they checked with the cleaning staff. After the day passed with no return call, i called again the following day, again I was told they would check with the cleaning staff and return my call, this time they returned the call to inform us that the items can't be found. So it appears that the staff have claimed our personal belongings as their own (only a few hours after we checked out of the room), it's apparent that they can't be trusted.

We are truly sorry you lost your items. However to call us thieves is not nice. We looked everywhere for this item and it was not in room. Perhaps it was lost somewhere else? We have seen this review on all sites. None of the staff would risk their job to take anything for one and secondly in all the years we have operated we have never had incidents of theft.

It's like 10 minutes away without traffic. Since it has construction on the highway and a weekday then give yourself an extra 30 minutes to be safe.
