I have been staying at this property since it was first opened, and the service remains the same - fantastic! Even with all the COVID restrictions put in place, my stay was as normal if not slightly better than the last time I stayed prior to COVID. The breakfast service was the most organized of any hotel I have ever stayed at. You stand at the counter and instructed not to touch any food items, simply let the server know what you want and she will happily get it for you. There were hot items such as eggs, bacon etc. that were hot and fresh. The cold items, juice and fruit were cold and fresh. Gone is the constant open/closing of the lids which let the heat escape causing the food to become cold. All food items were served on paper, but that is to be expected for health reasons. Hilton is a brand that really shows they care about you business and prove it with dedication by staff that have a lot of extra duties to perform to make you stay as comfortable as possible. If you are a Honors member, booking through the app is quick and painless. The only issue I had was a couple of extra charges billed to my credit card. I called the hotel and was told those charges will be removed as they were damage deposit. The Hampton Inn has taken all precautions to avoid the spread of COVID, now its up to the guest to follow those rules so everyone can enjoy a fantastic stay such as I did.

We had a great night stay. We had a lovely large room that slept 6. My children really enjoyed the water slide because it doesn’t end into the pool and is great for younger ages. The coffee and tea area is always well stocked with lots of selection. Kelly at the front desk was awesome she was able to get us into our room early, gave the kids suckers upon arrival which they loved and was very friendly whenever we needed assistance. Thanks

The hotel is in great location. 15 min drive to downtown Halifax. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores near by. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful. The complimentary breakfast is rich in choices of food, fresh, served in very spacious, clean cafeteria. Several coffee pots are brewed fresh and available 24/7 in hotel's lobby, along with cups, milk, cream, sugar. The pool is very clean, water very pleasant, and has 2 storey water slide. Fitness room is available 24/7, as is the laundry room.

I stayed 5 nights at the Hampton Inn and Suite in Dartmouth crossing while on a course. Yes,it is winter and parking lot snow removal is expected, but for three of my 5 nights, I was frequently woken by the sound heavy equipment back-up beeping followed by the clang of the plow blade being dropped. For context this is snow plowing and removal from the Dartmouth Crossing Plaza, not just the Hotel parking lot.
As for the two nights the plows were not operating and having an 'adjoining' style room, I was woken by the the guest(s) next door. Each time loud enough to cause me to get up thinking a person was in my room. For context, my hearing is by no means good. In fact it is just below the accepted normal hearing range.
As a plus, the bed was comfortable, the room nice and bathroom large. The shower was great except you had to get wet to turn on the water to pre-heat the shower.
Then there is breakfast. If you are someone who just wants a muffin, waffles, toast or sweets, then there is a good selection. If you are someone who need to stay away from wheat or dairy products, then the breakfast selection is lacking. If you were not at breakfast by 7:10 forget looking for a banana or boiled eggs. The hot selection were standard and rotated daily. I would have liked to had then pan fry potatoes more often than the one day.
Wifi was good, but my Hilton Honours access only worked for 2 of the 5 days. The standard complimentary access was fine for my needs. Lobby was well appointed and other common areas in great shape.
In conclusion, I still like the chain, I will not be staying at this Hampton Inn and Suites again.

Hello Dan, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. I am sorry for the disturbances of the outside plows in our lot and surrounding Dartmouth Crossing. This is not a concern we hear often and I thank you for bringing to our attention. I am uncertain what we can do in the future at this moment but we will certainly put on our thinking caps. We do have ear plugs and other amenities we can offer to a more sound slumber. Our breakfast is filled with many items for all. We also carry GF breads, cereal and Almond milk for food sensitivities. We definitely do have all the items mentioned plus so much more! Whole fruit, sliced fruit, yogurt, our hot items and whole eggs. I do hope you reconsider and try us again when in town. We would be delighted to show you how a stay is supposed to be without any disturbances and knowing we have the GF items (and GF Toaster) your breakfast experience will be much more enjoyable. Lots of parking. Only two valet carts. Soon as you enter the automatic front doors, you are hit with the nasty chlorine scent along with humidity that a pool provides. The pool is on the first floor, which you can see ahead of you as you enter - you're eyes are drawn to it as you acknowledge the overwhelming unpleasantness. However, the mattresses are firm, there are lots of pillows. There is no fan in the bathroom, causing heat and humidity in the small room during/after your shower. Don't forget to bring your own odor eliminating room spray! The room's windows do not open, but there is an air conditioner that works for approx. 15 minutes, then powers down for 15 min., etc. You shouldn't rely on this as white noise to help you sleep as it is not constantly in the active mode. The bathroom did not feel clean. When bathing, I could see the underside of the built in high and low soap holders. I was disgusted - so much dark gunk and perhaps mold. This area would not be visible unless you were sitting/laying in the tub. There were dirt stains on the wall around the tub. The bathrooms definitely need a good scrub down and sanitizing from top to bottom, daily! Oh, and don't forget to advise at check in should you want your room cleaned if you are staying more than one night. No one check your proof of vaccination on the way in and they didnt sanitize tables between guest. Breakfast was cold and served on paper plates with plastic utensils that couldnt cut the ham( it was actually back bacon). The oj and apple juice were warm as was the bottled water and yogurt. I was allowed to make coffee or tea but not allowed to make toast. An overall terrible breakfast, All other restaurants use proper utensils and plates not sure why the Hampton is not.

We are usually very happy with our stays at this hotel. However, on this 2 night stay there was hair all over the wall of our shower. We asked that housekeeping come clean it while we were out the next day (we were away from the hotel for 7 hours) and they did not clean it. We let them know during checkout and they refunded us $50 per night, which was nice. However, we still had a dirty shower and lost confidence in the cleanliness of our room for the entire stay.

Stayed at this hotel for one night only on July 16, 2022. The hotel as a whole is fine, however our room was not. Have you ever walked into a hotel room and just had the feeling it had not been properly cleaned. Also, it did not smell fresh. It was not a strong odor, however it had a faint scent of urine ..... not sure if it was doggie or human? Also the sink taps had hard water deposits around them and the shower doors were not thoroughly cleaned. NOW this is not a cheap or low-grade hotel ..... the rooms are well over $200 per night and it is not downtown. It's in a shopping area. The next time we travel to the Hfx/Dartmouth area, I will try to find a cleaner hotel room at a better price! Otherwise, the facility is better than the average place, nice lobby, friendly staff, good continental breakfast, free parking & Wifi. Just for the price, I felt the room should instill the feeling of cleanliness and disinfected to current standards.

Pool was not clean, my son got severe red eyes and a runny nose and suffered for hours after being in the pool. My eyes were burning and I had difficulty breathing just being in the pool area, I did not get in the water, yet they insisted everything was fine. Staff said perhaps my son had an allergic reaction to the chemicals. They blamed my problem on air circulation and said they would open an air circulation door in the pool area. The front desk staff were not properly trained and had nothing available in first aid to assist my son. Both my son and I have been in many chlorinated indoor pools and this has never happened before. Do I researched the problem myself and the CDC says chlorine is not the cause but chlorine mixed with body fluids. On top of the pool problem, the wifi didn't work. I had to speak to a different staff member to get the info on how to connect to a different wifi in the hotel as the one they gave me to connect to did not work on any device. I was also told my Roku would work there then after I arrived they said I needed a fire stick. There were some nice things about the hotel but for $150/night the pool was a deal breaker for me and I wouldn't risk putting my child through that again.

Very disappointing for a Hilton property. This location has several pros and cons but I think I will look elsewhere if looking for a place to stay in the area next time. This was a busy summer weekend and the hotel was sold out, so yes I can understand the hotel might not be playing their best game. This property has really shown its age. Rooms are starting to look like a Super 8 or even a Motel 6. Mold around the bathtub, broken office chair, bath towels you could use for sandpaper, carpet in rooms that made you want to wear shoes, not to mention the mystery stains here and there, lightbulbs burnt out, dirty bathtub you would be insane to have a bath in, damaged chipped furniture, gum matted in the carpet, small rips in the wallpaper.. so those sort of wear and tear you would expect from a budget hotel. Hotel is walking distance to shopping and restaurants, they do offer a free breakfast, great if you like toast. Enough Pros. OK... So, we were told at check in, they don't clean the rooms if you were staying over Friday and Saturday unless requested. We realized Saturday morning the shampoo was completely empty and we were short towels. So I went to front desk and asked if we could get our room made up. The front desk clerk told us we needed 24 hours notice if I wanted my room serviced. (not to mention the snotty tone like I should have known better) So she ordered new towels and shampoo. They left a bunch of new towels (sandpaper) for us and one tiny little shampoo bottle for 3 people. They didn't even take away the old towels. overall, the rooms need a good cleaning if not remodel Won't ever come back here.
