Staff is very freindly and helpful, room was very clean and has all i need.
You get good value for your money
Location is very handy next to the main road coming in Grande Prairie, but no problem with noise from that road.
My only remarks would be to have a bit more points to plug in Diesel trucks on the parking lot

I stayed for 3 days while I was up visiting my daughter in Grande Prairie and choose this hotel as I had stayed here when I was working the oilfields. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good, but like some one else said.. the coffee is nothing to write home about.. but you do have a Subway Timmys and McDonalds with in walking distance ..and other restaurants close by. Our room had no view what so ever as there is another section of the hotel blocking the view and all we could see was a wall from the other section of the hotel so you will have to ask for a room away from that view when you book try to get a room on the west side or in the addition. They also have vending machines located in different spots in the hotel and a variety of items available at the front desk. All in all: a pleasant stay

This was an average stay that cost a lot. I didn't give it top marks for a variety of reasons but most importantly, bang for buck wasn't there. Staff was very nice, rooms were what you would expect for this type of hotel. Beside lamp had a burnt out bulb and the other wasn't working, likely easy fixes once the staff know about it. It does bring into question if the cleaners are just going through the motions. Hotels a bit of a maze, ask when you check in for directions to your room depending on where you park....not from the front desk! Anyway, decent but nothing special.

We stay at Super 8 for all our business travel. Not again at the Super 8 in Grande Prairie. The room had a musty/moldy smell we feel was attributed to the bathroom door which exhibited water damage along its lower edge.
In addition we are seniors (in our 70's) who travel a lot for business. When we stay at a Super 8 we may be asked for a modest $100 damage deposit because we pay by debit. Some don't even ask for that seeing us as seniors on business. The GP location demanded $500 and when we checked out we had to wait for the room to be inspected before the deposit was returned.

Worst stay ever. Will never return to this hotel. Was woke up 5 days straight from hotel staff while I was working night shifts not to mention kids running in the hallways. Complaints to staff and manager went unanswered so I checked out 2 weeks early and moved to another hotel. Rooms look like they are from the 70’s. no room service for 5 days. No towels or nothing. Just pathetic.

I would definitely return. I stayed at both the Sandman and Super 8 during this trip, I would recommend the Super 8 over Sandman ANY day.
The rooms were bigger, cheaper, and cleaner. The staff at the Super 8 were way more friendly and willing to help, and actually had all the amenities available that were listed.

Booked through the 1-800 and was told it would be $120 a night. Clarified with the agent that it was $120 in CAD and then was charged $160 because it was in USD. When we arrived there was a drug deal happening in the back of the hotel where the hotel parking lot is located. We had enough time to go swimming before bed and though that would be fun. The pool ladders were not secured and there is mild everywhere. The slide was mildly and had large chunks of pain and material that has fallen off and scattered across the pool deck. The pool also didn’t have any towels.
The room was basic and bathroom was too small( had trouble closing the door when inside). I slipped in the shower as there is no tub floor mat or grip pad.
There were parties across the hall that we could hear most of the night.
The hotel at one time was good but I would not recommend it to anyone!

All the staff was great! We had a queen suite and it was tiny. The bed was a double if that, barely room for one adult and a one year old. The pull out couch was very tiny as well, not big enough for 2 children. The room was small for a suite and the rug was old and dirty looking. I honestly feel the size of the beds and room would be good for one person. I had myself and 3 children and opted for a suite to have the extra room and it was disappointing. The parking is terrible as well. The parking is all behind the hotel, if you don't have command start then your either waiting outside with your running vehicle or taking the risk of starting it and going back to your room. Major Inconvenience for me with my children, one being a baby to have to start my vehicle in the cold dark morning. Also felt very uneasy having to walk behind the hotel alone in the dark. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. Pool was fun!

Super 8 in Grande Prairie is conveniently located near all amenities needed. The room is quiet comfortable and clean! If you don't start early in the morning ask the front desk to be placed on upper floor. Lots of trucks starting early morning and you can hear it from first floor window. Parking seems to be better now maybe they don't have a lot of guest during covid time? but from year 2018 to 2019 It's very hard to get a parking spot. Anyways I love booking my hotel room here so you got my five.
