Yes it is true that everything described for Southern Cross Club is a definite yes. Located on an entire beach front this quaint "Club" is not only for divers but for anyone who would like to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a relaxation visit with a personal touch.(sorry for others...no TV). Everything from the pick up at the airport to the departure drop off was friendly and personal. Everything in between was accommodating and personal with one on one chit chats; with the Owner, the Manager, the Asst Manager, the Chef, bartenders, the servers, housekeepers, ground keeper. Everyone. Honestly all staff took time out to make us feel special and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The all inclusive meals were outstanding with a variety of food with vegan and vegetarian options. They offered to supply us with a snack when we told them we were going on an adventure on the Scooten Scooter. Also included are bicycles (DO IT), kayaks, and paddle boards. And oh, by the way we are NOT divers but we did hear it was the place to be. Just remember, free WIFI is only available in the main pool, dining, bar area, but ask yourself do you really need it in the room? Walk to the main area and take in the view and by the time you experience the breath taking stroll from your quarters, you may forget to check your messages. A few of us on Grand Cayman are making future plans to visit the Club again with our incoming families.Thank you to all at Southern Cross on Little Cayman for making our weekend fabulous!

I had heard so many good things about this small beach resort conveniently located on Little Cayman that I had to give it a try. SCC caters mostly divers, but not exclusively. It's charm, beauty and quiet solitude would and should certainly appeal to anyone not interested in the run-of-the-mill tourist trap of Grand Cayman. Pristine white sand beaches, individually unique and separated rooms are clean, cool, large and comfortable. The outdoor dining (indoor available) and bar are perfect for getting to know other guests or for intimate and private evenings. The on site Chef is very engaging and the food was good and plentiful. The dive operation is top notch and the dive masters and boat captains are very good. The Bloody Wall reef and coral is vibrant and healthier than most reefs I've dived on, albeit thin on shark activity. I'd recommend this location to anyone interested in a Caribbean Dive Vacation!

From the moment you step off the plane and you are greeted with a smile from Christine collecting you for a comfortable and easy journey to resort.
We stayed in number 10 the yellow house upstairs it was PERFECT and would highly recommend it, LOVED the outdoor shower! The views of the ocean whilst you have your morning coffee on your balcony are breathtaking.
There isn't much to do in Little Cayman apart from reading, relaxing and enjoying the ocean. We kayaked over to Owen Island which was so much fun. The bike ride in 40 degree heat to the north of the island not so fun, but still an adventure.
The resort has an honor system for their bar during the day which was great and it was a popular bar amongst other tourists on island at night.
The food was good, it is an all inclusive resort (for food) I would have liked the lunch time food to actually be more basic like a wrap or a sandwich instead of Chicken Cordon Bleu and Mushroom Truffle Soup as I felt that was a bit heavy for the day also as it is buffet style the food tends to get cold quickly so it would be better all round for a lighter option for lunch.
Very friendly staff and happy to help you with anything you need. I can't wait to go back again, it is 100% worth the visit!

This was a girls trip and it was amazing! The diving was excellent. The dive masters were outstanding and the diving was great. They have onsite diving at the club. They make it so easy for you. The bungalows are darling and there are only 14 so it is nice and quiet. This is a very peaceful get away.

The food was excellent. Loved the breakfast buffet and how supper changes between plated meals and buffet.

There were educational lectures presented for an hour in the bar. That was so cool. I was able to attend a lecture on grouper while sitting at the bar. Now the bar is awesome. Javi can make you any drink you like. He is an absolute delight. Avril picked us up at the airport and made us feel welcome.

There is paddle boarding, kayaking, and great snorkeling. The staff will also drive you to places on the island, or you can rent scooters, or use the bikes that the club has. I will need to come back here. The staff is so wonderful and makes you feel so welcome. I absolutely must come back.

I was curious to see how things have changed since the pandemic shut down all tourism to the Cayman Islands in March 2020. There are new protocols - masks are required on transportation and when inside. The resort has implemented twice weekly testing of staff and other precautions to keep guests healthy and safe.

What hasn't changed is the beauty of the property, top level of service from the staff, incredible diving, and world-class food.

I stayed for 15 nights and throughly enjoyed every day. The resort has kayaks, bicycles, and paddleboards for guests to use although the hammocks are very tempting too!

The resort had a number of repeat guests when I was there, some who I had met before on previous trips. Because the resort is small, and most guests dive together, it's easy to get to know the other guests and form a friendly community.

The dive staff is friendly and professional. It's true concierge diving with guided underwater dives where the divemasters point out both large and small sealife.

The one frustration is that both the Cayman Islands and the US are requiring a negative COVID test the day before travel. This adds a level of stress and risk to the trip. (Visitors from the UK are able to return home without testing at this time.)

The resort does assist guests by collecting the information needed for the test when you arrive, schedules the pre-departure test, and provides transportation to the testing site. They also have designated rooms for quarantine should you test positive then or at any time during your trip. Hopefully, these requirements will loosen in the near future.

I was glad I was able to travel back to this special island and the Southern Cross Club and have already planned another trip later this year. I highly recommend this resort.

Spent two glorious weeks diving and staying at this incredible place!! I cannot speak highly enough about the resort, the food, the diving and especially the staff!

The health of the reef here is unmatched in the Caribbean.

We enjoyed every moment of our vacation!

I would love to thank every person who works here for how they treated us and took care of every little detail to make this the best vacation of our lives.

We cannot wait to come back!!

If you love great diving, with incredibly skilled dive masters, great food and super attentive staff in paradise, Southern Cross Club is here for you.

Go!!!!! You can thank me later!!!

Stayed just for one night and gutted we didn’t stay longer . Room 2 was stunning , right on the beach , beautifully spacious and with a extremely comfortable bed . Room also had an outdoor shower and a hammock. We arrived early so went straight into breakfast . Lunch and dinner were truly first class and included meals at lunch such as seafood chowder and chicken quesadilla. Staff are amazing and speak to you by your first name. If the bar isn’t manned then you help yourself and tick a sheet and pay later . Facilities include free kayaks and paddle board and Owen island is a short distance away . If you want to relax and be looked after this is the place to be !

Terrific - just terrific! Really a special place. The vibe was so relaxed and friendly! The staff was awesome! We so enjoyed the diving - which was quite memorable. The dive team was extremely knowledgeable and made everyone feel so confident. The Island dive spots are just beautiful and in wonderful condition. Accommodations, food, service and diving makes me understand why every guest we met had been there multiple times! We’ll be back! Note: you need to love diving since it’s the focus of your vacation!

From the moment we arrived at the airport to the moment we departed, we felt the peace and serenity of Little Cayman. The facilities and the staff at the Southern Cross Club were incredible! Located on the white sandy beach on the south side of Little Cayman, the Southern Cross Club is perfectly situated as the setting for relaxation. We were scheduled to stay for 2 nights, but we extended to 4 nights on a spur of the moment decision because we couldn't bear going home! Thank you to Christine, Chef Anu and his talented team, Javier at the bar (love the Pisco Sour drink!!), Peter and the entire staff.

Good Afternoon! Apologies for any delay in reply as the Club is closed for the annual shutdown with the staff all spread out in the world! Yes, absolutely you would be welcome! About 70% of guests are divers, with the remaining guests made up of fisherman and beachgoers alike. The Southern Cross Club is the ideal place to relax and experience the Caribbean the way it was meant to be! You can make use of the bicycles, paddleboards and kayaks as well as snorkeling gear. If the activities are not up your alley, then the magnificent pool view of the 900ft of sand may just be what is needed. We try to cater to all! Just reach out to Craig or Adrienne on the "reservations" or "info" email addresses and they will be quick to reply!

Is there snorkeling from the beach or tours where you see a lot of tropical fish?
Answer from Dave B
Boston126 contributions62 helpful votes
You can snorkel off the beach but the best reef fish would be seen near the reef. Ask if the SCC dive boat will take snorkelers - I don't know. If not, call Doug at Conch Club Divers and he will take you out. Both are great operations.

SCC is not for everyone. I suggest looking at piratespointresort as an alternative Place. I love SCC and will go back but it's more expensive and doesn't deliver that much more to justify the cost.

Good Morning, All baggage has to clear customs in Grand Cayman, regardless of which carrier you fly. One consideration though, if you fly on Cayman Airways you can check 2 bags of 55lbs all the way to Little Cayman. If not, you're allowed one 55lbs bag and a carry on of 15lbs. Another consideration, if you enter on Cayman Airways and by some unfortunate instance there is a delay and you miss your flight to Little Cayman, Cayman Airways will pay for a hotel in Grand Cayman.

I would only add that there is a head on each of the Southern Cross boats. I think that does matter. :-) Let me know if you have any other questions,
