This hotel was recommended to us by our friends who have stayed here many times. It is right on 7 mile and close to many things. Our room was modest but, had everything you would need and very clean. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner and a beach bar that serves lunch. We did room service a couple of times because there is no additional charge. There are two pools and a hot tub. The big pool is in the courtyard area and the hot tub is in a nice spot tucked away in the landscaping. The smaller adults only pool is beachside. The ocean here is so calm and beautiful we never even swam in the pools. You should bring a raft so that you can float in the ocean. They will even blow it up for you. We didn’t bring one but, saw others who did so we purchased one in the gift shop. We ate pizza from the beach bar a couple of days and found that we preferred the beach bar food over the restaurant. Things can get pricey along 7 mile as far as food and drink go. We saw many people who had soft sided coolers and were walking across the street to get beer and other drinks. We will do this next time. At breakfast you can get free continental which includes fruit, pastries, and coffee or if you decide to order off the menu they will take $5 off your entree order because you didn’t get the free breakfast. If you need to do an excursion or get a ride just ask the front desk and they will set it up for you. My husband and I both would like to see better quality sheets on the bed. They were scratchy but, this is very insignificant and wouldn’t keep us from staying here again. We plan on traveling here another time and bringing our family.

We have been going to Coco LaPalm for over 20 years. We hesitated because of Covid, but decided to go anyway. It’s still the best on the beach in Negril. They have hand sanitizers at every entrance to the restaurant, and they take everyone’s temperature before they serve you at each meal. They also sanitize the rooms and even the beach chairs, daily. January is usually booked solid, and last month was no exception. Everyone was canceling at the last minute because of Covid. There were only 30 people total the, 10 days we were there. Social distancing is easy where are that few people spread out on 100 yards of beach. The food is still great, especially breakfast. Their jerk chicken for lunch and dinner is the best in negril! All the regulars need to start going ASAP. You know the wait staff is the best on the beach. I would receive Coco to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation on the Caribbean’s prettiest beach!

This was our seventh trip to Jamaica and our first trip to CoCo La Palm. Check in was quick and friendly, and we were shown to our room # 332 , ground floor, so it had a covered entranceway. A large room with two queen beds, table and four chairs,A.C. and ceiling fan. The windows are tinted so you have privacy in daylight hours and heavy curtains if you want almost total darkness to sleep during the day. There is a new electronic safe in the bathroom area which you can program by credit card or your own number. The room has fridge / freezer. Hairdryers are available from the front desk at no charge. A large tiled shower area with a dispenser for shampoo and body wash. Bar soap and Aloe supplied by the sink. There is a coffee machine and packets of sugar, sweeter and powdered milk . Everything in this hotel is clean and tidy ! The grounds here are cleaned all the time and the gardens are very well kept. On the beach there are plenty of loungers and lots of shade from the trees. The beach area is clean and tidy, towels are supplied by the lifeguards. Security is good and make sure you are not pressured by local people selling all the usual goods (remember they are trying to earn a living,be kind !) We gave in a credit card at the front desk on checking in and charged all drinks and food to our room, you can always pay as you go. All food and drink is marked in U.S.$. The food is very good and prepared to order at the bar and restaurant. We felt the prices are about the same as we pay at a restaurant/bar at home (Maine-USA). Across the road is a restaurant called The Best In The West which charges about the same as the hotel and is another dining experience. Just up the road ,turning left as you leave the hotel on the same side is a store selling everything you can think of! They wanted 48US$ for a bottle of Woodbridge white wine, when we said it was 18US in the U.S. they dropped it to that price, the same as a bottle of rum, so be prepared to barter a little ! For fear of leaving someones name off the list ,I will not mention any names in particular. All the bar and wait staff were kind and efficient,as were the reception staff. There was a small army of staff cleaning/painting all the time to make this hotel sparkle. I should mention there are paddle boards and various floats on the beach , kindly left by other people when they leave. The swimming area is very large and roped off with floats. The water is calm, clear and shallow, so its safe for small children, there is also a very nice pool in the middle of this property that was close to our room that has seats and umbrellas. There are also very clean toilets down on the beach by the bar/restaurant area. I should mention that our safe stopped working (dead battery) and maintenance were there in ten minutes (no charge( .I lost my room key/card and it was replaced at the front desk immediately (no charge) and I somehow managed to break the toilet seat lid and you guessed it. It was replaced very quickly (no charge)! If they will have us back again, we will see you all in 2023 ! One Love. Colin

A beautiful vacation for my wife, daughter and I at CocoLaPalm!! The sunsets from the resort beach were breathtaking! All.. And I mean ALL food, wait and housekeeping staff were the best we have ever had, anywhere! My daughter's favorite was Martino at the Beach bar and grill and then felt bad later by not admitting that everyone there were her favorites. Oh, to be a kid, again!

Pros... The food (especially the Beach Bar)
The sunsets, Rondals Boat tours, the Junior Suite, the room air conditioning, the wifi, housekeeping, beach security, Central location and the awesome, warm clear Caribbean Waters of Seven Mile Beach Negril.

Cons... Only one.. Mattresses on the beds in Junior Suite were super hard which began mornings with some aches (nothing an hour long snorkel in the ocean couldn't fix)

Some peep props (and I will forget to mention many, but you all are stars) Romain, Martino, Dennis, Keodi, Davian, Keiran, Dave, Shareka, Naresh, Karesha, Farien.. You made my family feel at home every minute we were there.

Bottom line..We look to visit different parts of world now, for vacation..this will be tough to pass on in the future. The rest of the world may have to wait a bit longer ❤️

Awesome beach and water. Nice shady areas under palm trees. The beach is clean and looks well maintained. Clear, warm waist deep water! Plenty of folks walking the beach selling food, fruit, massages and souvenirs, the best thing is that the hotel security doesn't allow them to haggle you. The first room we were assigned was in a really inconvenient location- near the parking lot where employees are coming and going every 2 minutes. They moved us to a room right on the beach. I'm sure it was a premium room. It had 2 bedrooms and a nice separate living room area. Cable TV didn't work in this room but we didn't care because it was such an awesome free upgrade! We felt like super stars! Beds were comfortable enough for me. Overall both rooms we were in need of an upgrade in terms of decor, its somewhat outdated but that wouldn't stop me from staying here again.
Bar area was nice to lounge at, I only had the Pina Colada and it was delicious. The restaurant food was just OK, except the fish and chips- it was the best I've had! The grounds has beautiful plants, trees and flowers and is well maintained. There is a nice little gift shop to visit, a computer room, two pools and a large hot tub (at times it wasn't hot). One thing that really annoyed us was the internet service, it was mediocre at best. We visited another hotel down the road and connection was perfect. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Jamaica is truly a beautiful lush island with happy people!

The resort has fantastic tropical gardens with many varieties of palms all around the property beautiful tropical garden views from many of the rooms. The resort has one of the best beach locations on the seven mile beach, CoCo has great beach chairs, towels and tables for the customers to use, along with a few paddle boards you can use if you feel adventurous. There are a number of different room types rooms on the ground floors each have a separate patio for personal use. The second floor junior suites come with nice large balcony patio s to enjoy the outdoor tropical atmosphere. The tiki bar on the beach has great afternoon food and drinks, and the restaurant at CoCo is Marleys on the beach, a great place for fantastic breakfasts overlooking the views of the beach and sea! Diners are great with a variety of Caribbean dishes! Sunsets are awesome at CoCo! We have been coming back for 15 years our favorite place for a relaxing enjoyable vacation! The staff are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel at home each time you visit.

We’ve stayed in Jamaica 6 times and I would rank this as my favorite “hotel style” place. David at the front desk was such a friendly and relaxed man. Our rooms were nicely cleaned each day. The wait staff and bartenders are timely and nice and the food is good. The hotel itself has such a beautiful lush garden that is well taken care of. Making arrangements for excursions was easy. The massages were amazing. The beach security and lifeguards were really good at what they do!! They worked long hours and continued to keep moving to keep the place/beach tidy and also keep company that you were not interested in away. Well done guys!! The beach area is beautiful and has lots of space to chill. We like to roam around to other places to eat and visit and felt very safe doing so along the entire seven mile beach during the day and even at night. The hot tub was perfectly hot and was a great way to top off each day.
Loved the tree frogs at night. You should be proud of every single one of your staff! THEY made it a great place to stay.

We enjoyed two weeks here and were pleased that we paid a bit more for a hotel with “beachside” rooms. Many of the hotels have cheaper rooms on the other side of the road but it’s a busy road and the convenience is worth the extra, even if you or not necessarily on the beach.

Our room was huge and clean (possibly an upgrade but not sure) with a balcony, fridge, safe and we felt very comfortable during our stay.

Staff were generally very friendly although occasionally a bit hit and miss. A bit disappointed the front desk wouldn’t make a brief local call to book a restaurant without wanting to charge it to our room (we are from UK, possibly Americans can make calls on their cell for free), which made email reservations a bit complicated.

We were looked after on the beach particularly by the security guards arranging our sun beds and towels.

Shame the grill was not in use but this could be a function of covid and curfew and low season.

Ok not too $$ but amazingly worth it. Easy Access to 7 miles of white sand and I’m not sure if it’s the Covid effect but every one is so accommodating and friendly. Make sure to have the continental breakfast it’s included in your stay.. the other menu is ok but I quite liked that I could walk on the beach and have pizza or authentic Jamaican food next door and for Jamaican juices don’t hesitate to buy from Juiceman Flex. Security on the beach is commendable so you won’t be hassled. My girls and I had a great relaxing time ...a day of snorkeling and Booby Cay is accessable and it’s close to the Knutsford Bus and Negril town. A fine way to relax in Covid time.. social distancing and sanitizing is practiced... a nice break Kudos Coco La Palm for adhering to Covid 19 restrictions

After moving out of an awful hotel further down 7 mile beach. We booked into Coco la Palm & wow what a difference. We were made to feel welcome by the Reception team & immediately felt relaxed. Our room wasn't ready as we arrived around 11am, we couldn't wait to leave the last place. Our cases were taken care of & we were told to make use of the facilities until it was ready at approx 3pm. We strolled down to the beach bar & was immediately greeted by Keeki who then quickly arranged for us to have beach towels so we could relax on the plentiful sunloungers. Within half an hour a member of staff came to find us to take us to our room which incredibly was ready! Our bags were in the room already, superb service. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with air con & fan, a large bathroom with large shower & hot water (a relief after the "hotel" we had just left). We also had a balcony/terrace which was lovely. There was a coffee maker, fridge safe & flatscreen TV & loads of storage. Even an iron & board was in there. Our room was serviced every single day, just brilliant.
We had the most relaxing 11 nights, the staff were so friendly & accommodating especially Keeki & Martino at the bar. The restaurant staff were efficient & courteous & the continental breakfast served each day was superb. The dinner menu was excellent. Right on the beach with security watching over the guests we felt safe, secure & totally relaxed, thank you Coco la Palm, we will definitely return 😀

There are plenty of free chairs and cushions. I didn't see umbrellas but there is natural shade under ovacado trees (I think) towards the back of the beach. Most people were utilizing that shade while I was there.
