This is a delightful place to stay in Newfoundland. The owners are warm, gracious and welcoming. All rooms are unique: a blend of modern and antique pieces. The accommodations are immaculate and tastefully appointed. There is a communal family room with TV and a sunny tea room with serve yourself coffee or multiple selection of teas Our Captain’s room included a jacuzzi, bath robes and wine glasses. Definitely plan to make dinner reservations. The food was fantastic and we are real foodies! Take your coffee or after dinner drink and sit in comfy wicker furniture overlooking the ocean tides go in and out. (One note, I believe all rooms are on the second floor with no elevator though the owners will assist with luggage. )

We stayed at the manor for two nights. The place is modern and cozy at the same time, decorated very tastefully with many references to the local history and traditions. Kelly, Lucy, and Wanda made us feel very welcome from the first second and spoiled us with great food and a selection of good wines and beers. We would always go back.

This was a lovely stay, one of the best we had on our trip. The building was tastefully renovated and the decor was lovely. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had one person in our party who was a vegan. There were no vegan options on the menu, but they went out of their way to accommodate this request. I would highly recommend this place.

We had a couple of rooms rented for a family member's surprise party in the community. There was a small snarl up in the booking (we originally booked one room for 2 nights and then switched to 2 rooms for 1 night) but Kelly took care of that in a hurry and provided the rooms we needed for the night. Accommodations were fabulous, very clean, bright and beautify view of the ocean! Breakfast was great, on time and as we pre ordered the evening before. Great place for a getaway and Captain Sam's suite was very comfortable and reasonably priced as well.
Would definitely recommend!!

A lovely facility! The room was beautifully appointed and the lounge area was comfortable and welcoming. Kelly is a wonderful hostess and Lucy made us feel very welcome. The only negative thing was the cost and quality of the dinner we chose to have in the Bistro.

Our time at Salmonier Country Manor was very special. We stayed at the Suite and found it very well-appointed, warm, and comfortable. Our breakfasts and dinners were prepared and served with great attention and care. Kelly is an amazing host and we would absolutely love to stay at her beautiful place again. Highly recommended!

Great Exuma
We stayed one night and it happened we were the only guests. Kelly was a kind and gracious host and served us a wonderful traditional dinner. Captain Sam's suite was large and comfortable worth every penny. Lucy served us a nice breakfast and share some of the history of "Convent Inn" and the area. We felt honoured to have stayed in the suite and paid tribute to Sam's Captain's hat.

On vacation in Newfoundland exploring the Avalon. We were going to a show in a neighbouring town and the Manor was recommended to us for a place to say. Kelly and Lucy treated us so well that we decided to go back at the other end of our trip to Newfoundland for one more stay. The rooms are decorated so nice! Was hard to pick which one to stay in! We had our supper there both times (cod tongues of course!!) and the complimentary breakfast was yummy (homemade jam! and toast) Would definitely go back next time we are in the area!! Lucy treated us like family! Hugs to her!!

A bit off the beaten track in Newfoundland, the Salmoniert Country Manor is very much worth a detour! The setting is stunning (in particular if you happen to get a room with a view on the river/sea). Beautiful and tasteful decorated rooms, homemade cooking at its best. We stayed three nights - wish we had had more time. Last, but certainly not least an atmosphere which makes you feel at home. A great thank you, particularly to Wanda!

Nice welcoming atmosphere - enjoyed chatting with other guests, owner and employee. Good Location for us after doing the Irish Loop and Heading for more exploring. Arrived at night but discovered a little beach across the road in the morning.
