Prior to travelling I contacted the hotel with a few questions and they were really quick to respond and so we already had a good impression of what was to come in terms of service, but it was still lovely to spend a week in a hotel where everyone working there was so friendly, helpful and just great at the jobs! They have an amazing team of employees and it really made a big difference to our experience and the overall enjoyment of our holiday.
We also really enjoyed the food and even though we were slightly apprehensive travelling with a fussy toddler there was always more than enough choice for both breakfast and dinner. (Our stay was on HB). The people working in the restaurant were all so lovely and it was all kept spotless and the food always well presented, fresh and inviting.
A few things to note about the hotel:
It’s around 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel. We pre-booked a táxi transfer as we didn’t intend on going anywhere during our stay. Parking is in the street outside the hotel but it was always really busy so something to be mindful of if you are hiring a car.
It’s very much a family friendly hotel and most guests seem to have small babies and children under 5 so if you are looking for a quiet couples break it probably isn’t the right hotel for you!
The hotel provide travel cots with a proper mattress! We just took our own cot sheets but our son slept really well. They also have lots of high chairs available for dinner and because the family rooms don’t have a bath they can provide a small plastic bath for babies / smaller toddlers on request. We also took our sons own plates cup etc. as his still untrustworthy with proper china!!
The hotel offers two types of family room, the family basic which are closer to the road so might be noisy if you have a baby or light sleeper! We stayed in a family room, which have garden view and the room we had was very quiet. You do get some noise from the corridors but as most people had little kids we found that after 9/10pm it was all very quiet. They also have some amazing suites but for us these wouldn’t have worked because we needed a bedroom with a door we could close for our son to sleep!
The only minor negatives for us were a few pesky mosquitoes but this is just one of those things sadly! You just need to take the necessary precautions.
Also sadly we never actually got to sleep in the bed in our room as we put our son in the bedroom and we slept in the sofa bed in the lounge area. Unfortunately it wasn’t very comfortable for two adults but this was just one of those small compromises you sometimes have to make as a parent to facilitate sleep!!!
Overall we had a really lovely holiday and we would definitely stay again.

There are what seems to be endless white sand beaches and crystal blue waters for as far as the eye can see, just you in paradise saying WOW!! All of the staff there treated us like family and were always there to provide anything you needed, specially Florin the guest relations manager...... The atmosphere felt very safe as the buffet was assisted, everyone was wearing a mask and we had to use the sanitary gel each time we would walk in the buffet, and the staff were always present and friendly...when we was there , there was not manny people so we had plenty of space in the hoteland social distanxing wasnt a problem. They exceeded my expectations.♥♥♥♥♥

This hotel, and more specifically it’s staff was excellent. Exceeded our expectations. It is located right on the beach (which is stunning with shallow crystal clear water), with dining and areas to have a drink looking out to the sea. The property is very well maintained, with gardeners and guys repainting, as well as frequently cleaning of the pathways etc. our room was a good size and had very good a/c and was cleaned daily (thank you to the maids). We ate dinner at the restaurant 5 out of the 7 nights and while it was a buffet, the food was great quality and there was a lot of variance each night which made it interesting. While it got busier through the week as it was half term, it never felt like there was more guests than the hotel could accommodate. The staff deserve a special mention for both their friendliness and their hard work. They were always attentive and happy to help, making it a great experience. As noted, the two outside pools are not heated but I didn’t find this a problem and neither did our kids. Thoroughly recommend and will likely return at some point in the near future.

We booked this hotel last minute in October because our planned holiday to Greece had to be canceled. We were 3 familys with a total of 5 children. The hotel is family friendly but could be even more. The pool was ice cold, so were all the pools across the hotel even the kids pool. Nobody ever used it. We had to use the indoor pool which was ok, but a shame if the weather outside is warm and sunny. What an added value it would be if the pool was heated?! The beach is nice but as it’s a public beach, you have to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas. Towels are available from the hotel. The food is good, there is only buffet option in the evening but it has a big selection of different food and also every night a different theme. But after a week we definitely had enough of buffets. There is a burger place that is open fur lunch. The rooms are clean and spacious with a balcony. One thing that annoyed us though was that every time you enter the room all the lights go on. This is very irritating especially if the kids are already asleep. A big plus is the children entertainment. The kids club has different activities evry day and every evening after dinner theres kids mini disco which was the highlight for our kids. Also the staff are overall very friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel is nice, but it could be a lot more.

We have booked the hotel without knowing that it’s a family oriented resort. During our stay 95% of people (or more) were families with children. It is not really suitable or geared for couples.
In terms of facilities: There is no “a la carte” food option. I did not expect a full menu on the beach bar but at least “tasty snacks” as advertised on the Iberostar app. But nothing is available. This is misleading in terms of service. Other Iberostar Select hotels (5 star) served snacks at the Poolside bars.
When one buys a bottle of wine one normally wants some small food for an extra charge (like salad or Burrata or steak tartar). There is a “Burger House” but the food selection and place is obviously tilted towards families and children
This means that as a guest are pushed either to take the lunch buffet as an extra (which we don’t appreciate all the time ) or you’re pushed to spend your money elsewhere: outside of hotel, like at Numa beach, which is a pity.
Furthermore, the Beach Bar is opened only till 10pm. It should stay open until at least 11pm.
Otherwise the hotel is in a very good location: perfect beach, beautiful territory, clean, very friendly polite staff and well organised.
Our garden room was very good. Fresh water is for free from filtered filling machines. Good gym and pool. Cheap prices for wines and drinks.
We enjoyed everything except the few negative points above.

Just finished an 8 day stay. Hotel was booked last minute after reading great reviews. Really pleased and plan to go back next year. We were a large group of 10. two families with children 5-9 years and grandparents. Hotel suited all of us with loads of options for all wants and needs. It is great they allow you to use the next door Iberostar hotel faciilities too, so we had a big selection of pools and restaurants and loved being a few steps from the beach always. The other Iberostar cannot come use this one however, so that works in your favour. Food at the beach front restaurant was excellent. Buffet style but well presented, hygienically and excellent range for all. Lots of healthy, local and interesting options, as well as some basic beige options to fill up the kids. Setting is stunning too, cool breeze and beautiful views along the beachfront. We upgraded to all inclusive when we got there as the hotel offered a good deal. Was certainly worth it. Lots of care put into making drinks and food really worth the extra. Have had bad all inclusive experiences before when you feel like you just get the cheap drinks/food. Not this time. Burger bar also brilliant, Delicious burgers and fresh crunchy fries. Eevening entertainment great for all ages too. First time we have ever watched hotel shows in the evening.... magic, acrobatics, bands, flamenco etc. Hotel very clean and organised. Great exercise schedule and enjoyed daily yoga/pilates. Thanks very much to all the staff. In particular Kati who ran the exercise sessions and entertainment.

The hotel was amazing in all ways. Spotlessly clean with the staff on top of everything. I’d say for a buffet, this hotel has the best food of any we’ve stayed in. The selection was perfect and the standard was first class. We would miss the on-site burger place as it was average at best, where the main buffet restaurant for breakfast and evening meals is incredible.
We upgraded from half board to all inclusive on arrival, which was worth it…and only 60% of what we’d have paid through the operator.
We had a family room which was fine for my wife and I and our 7-year old (sofa bed). Partial sea view off the big balcony, but not used on a night because of the mosquitoes. Take plenty spray because you’ll get bit.
Access straight onto the beach and the pools are spot on. You can walk out into the sea for 100m at knee depth.
Entertainment on a night was good (every night). The entertainment team do a great job and kids club was loved by our son.
Plenty shops, bars and restaurants straight across the road.
Brilliant hotel. We’ll be back.

I never write reviews. But I had to for this place. We accidentally stayed in iberostar hotel in Malaga. The food was EXCELLENT. So we decided to stay in the same chain in Mallorca. Excellent place for children and adults. The food isn’t as good as Malaga though. Not so many vegetarian options. The star hospitality servers that were INCREDIBLE, always smiling, so helpful were: Andres, Alvaro and Aymara. They were stand out SUPER waiters and just elevated the hotel to justify 5 starts!!!! Overall, everyone who worked at the hotel is great. The hotel Is modern, on a beautiful beach. The room cleaning is good but not to my standard, they need to vacuum instead of mop because I keep finding other peoples hair on the floor. And they don’t seem to change the sheets every day. But it’s still good. Like I said, more vegetarian options are needed, and some of the food overall is average on some nights. A few nights food was excellent. Unlike Malaga which was truly a culinary experience. Kids entertainment is really excellent. I would recommend this place, we had a really nice time.

We stayed at this hotel during May half term with our daughters aged 8 and 5 and had a wonderful week. The family room worked well for us with the separate sleeping space. The food was excellent with plenty of variety but also standard offerings for fussy kids. The hotel is very geared up to families with young children (I would not recommend to people without kids), in particular preschoolers. Having more kids club activities for older kids would have made it perfect for us as our 8 year old was a bit old for what was offered but still enjoyed the sessions she went to. The mini disco could do with a but more variety but really little ones probably wouldn't notice that. Most entertainment was good. Be aware you need to pay to use beach loungers and umbrellas as some guests seemed confused by this when asked and had assumed they were part of the hotel. I cannot say enough how good the staff were. We did not encounter a single staff member who was not friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. I also had an excellent massage at the spa. We plan to return!

I'm not aware of any restrictions at this resort. There are limits on alcohol in certain parts of Mallorca (the more party-central areas) but Alcudia is not one of those. Certainly, there was nobody keeping tabs on what we were drinking.
There are more places to choose from in the Playa de Muro area.
