We had a truly outstanding stay at this property for 3 nights. My usual area to stay in Bali is Seminyak but I decided to try Uluwatu this trip and and I am glad I did. I visit Bali frequently and know many of the better hotels and villas. Before I provide my feedback on the hotel property itself, I have to mentioned how impressed I was with Michelle, the guest services manager. She went well beyond my expectations to ensure my stay was enjoyable and more than satisfactory. She was awesome. The entire team at the hotel were just as incredible. Special mention to Wawan also. That makes the stay in my opinion. Service, Service, Service. Well done. The property is very large and you can get lost but the team are always there to help you out or call a shuttle buggy to get you around. We had breakfast each morning in the Clay restaurant and the buffet was really good. Plenty of selection and for Bonvoy members with status you have an option of a members only special order menu on top of the buffet. We had a few drinks in the Rbar lobby bar during happy hour on the first day and it was great value with a buy one get one free offer. The Rbar team in the lobby even went our their way to prepare a special cheese plate when we arrived back late one night so we could enjoy this with a bottle of wine on our balcony. Speaking of rooms we had an executive suite and it was very large with a balcony. The bed was one of the best I have slept in. The pillows are like clouds. Everything in the room was superb except maybe the sete which as very hard - it looks soft. There are 2 pools. If you want a tranquil relaxing experience make your way to the lower pool which I assume is the adults pool - if you can find it. It's too deep for young kids. The main pool has the kids area for safe swimming. The spa is highly recommended if you need to chill out. The gym is well equipped. Activities are available all day. We tried the yoga session and it was perfect. This is one of the longest reviews I have written because the hotel earned it. I will be back to enjoy this hotel again. Well Done!!

Me and my best friend decided to go on an impromptu vacation. to Bali to get away from Jakarta’s less than calming and comforting atmosphere for a few days in Bali. Due to both of us having to work (virtually) on the first 2 days of our visit, we decided to split our stay—2 nights in Uluwatu where we would work from the hotel the entire day, and 2 nights in Seminyak during the weekend.

I decided Renaissance Uluwatu would be the perfect property to work from. So we booked it through Booking.com. No hassle at all. I personally corresponded with the resort’s reservation team and made my payment a few days after making the reservation. We were told that we were entitled to 2 complementary cocktails during our stay, piquing our interests even more. We just couldn’t wait to get there.

2 weeks later we arrived at the property and check ourselves in. It was smooth-sailing and we fell immediately in love with our room. It was very clean, very comfortable and very spacious! We visited during COVID-19 period and I just have to salute Renaissance Uluwatu for the extensive and detailed health protocols implied such as putting hand sanitizers on almost all accessible flat surfaces around the property (especially where guests would need it most such as right in front of the elevators) and putting masks, sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer in our room.

Breakfast was superb, the pool, too. We loved every nook and cranny of this resort and even vowed to come back someday soon. We loved it so much we dreaded leaving and even hated the next accommodation we were supposed to stay in. I shared our fondness of this property to my partner who’s currently still stuck overseas and we vowed to stay for a week at Renaissance Uluwatu by the time international travelers are allowed entry into Indonesia.

However, there was one thing I had rather disliked. Remember the complimentary cocktails we were promised upon payment (through bank transfer) 2 weeks prior? Well, those complimentary cocktails never came. We were told upon check-in to go on ahead to the bar for the drinks but when we did (to the pool bar on the 5th floor), we were asked for the vouchers that was never given to us in the first place even after showing the staff the message I received from the reservation team. So, we ended up deciding it wasn’t worth the hassle and embarrassment (it would be as if we couldn’t afford our own cocktails) and let it slide. Apart from this, however, we loved and enjoyed our stay entirely and look forward to returning soon!

All the best to the entire Renaissance Bali Uluwatu team! Be safe, be well and see you again soon!

It's my 2nd trip back to this Renaissance property. The friendly hospitality was immediate apparent the minute you step in. The concierge team rushed to take my bags, Ester at check-in was full of smiles and Wiwin from VIP team also personally took me to my room. Dennis the front office manager also dropped by to say hi. The hotel kindly arrange us in adjacent rooms and brought us extra water. It was just a perfect way to start the vacation. There are 3 pools in the property so you can always find one that is not crowded, we were always able to get our own beach chair. This time we did take the shuttle and visit the beach. The beach was a great beach for swimming, and had a white sandy beach. Best part was there was a swimming pool and restaurant owned by the hotel, so we spent a whole day there. For dinner we tried the Ikat Indonesian restaurant, we highly recommend it. The grill squid, curry and grilled suckling pig were a winner although the portion for the suckling pig was tiny. Breakfast was iconic, the VIP venue for platinum member was awesome. Agung served us with smiles at breakfast and I probably had triple the portion of my normal breakfast. We knew it was good last time, but this time it was another level. Overall I highly recommend the resort if you like sea view and private resorts.

Stunning clifftop property with a 360 degree view of heaven! This property is blessed with one of the best views in the Ungasan area…. an area that is still pristine and not overrun with tourism. This area sports the $1000 a night Bulgari hotel, and an incredible $75 a night Sheraton hotel as well. The Renaissance nicely sits in the $125-150 range and offers a full luxury experience. It is located only about 25 minutes from Kuta/Seminyak area and costs about $7 each way using Bluebird taxi or Gojek/Grab. Stay here if you want peace, beauty, luxury, and incredibly tasty Balinese cuisine. They have a stunning pool and a kingly spread for breakfast. There is a free shuttle service to take you 15 minutes away to Pandawa Beach and to their own beach club called Roosterfish. Roosters was an additional benefit we were surprised with – excellent afternoon and sundowner at this stunning beach club with some of the most talented Italian cuisine and Indonesian chefs in all of Bali… gnocchi with turnip, dry crust leavened pizza, and cocktails to die for. On our way to Roosterfish, there was a German gentleman seated in the shuttle and very dedicatedly wiping the dashboard and windows of the shuttle. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that he was Martin, the General Manager of this property!! So down to earth, detail oriented, and incredibly dedicated to his job. He was accompanying us on the shuttle to meet up with a guest at Roosterfish who was celebrating his kid's birthday! Incredibly personalized service!! Our waitress at Roosterfish - Widia - was another story in hospitality… so knowledgeable, passionate about her job and loved her interesting communication in perfect English. Exactly the same outstanding service the next day from Nopita, our breakfast waitress who was incredibly polite and attentive and also from Raka at the restaurant! Thanks to Tina the room director as well for upgrading us to a lovely suite with a stunning view of the valley. We will be returning to Renaissance Uluwatu soon!

Hotel is huge and majestic. Located in the hill in uluwatu are. You can see the sea and mountains in the north of bali. During pandemic time, they disinfectant the hotel area regularly. Parking space is big enough. Room is quite specious and with balcony. The good thing is, they provide hand sanitizer in the room. Too bad my room got some broken part such as leak toilet, some tv channels not working, the shower cold water not working, and uncomfortable pillow. Facilities are good and complete. Hotel provides free activities such as boxing, yoga, biking, etc. Breakfast is a la cart due to low season, but it's allowed to repeat order, and custom the menu. Taste was okay, a bit below my expectation. overall, pretty much enjoy staying here

If you want to splurge a little this hotel is a perfect choice.
Just a pointer though as the hotel is cliff side, it is based a little way out from the main strip so no good for walking if you have any disabilities the roads are not good! Taxis are plentiful though, but be warned traffic is horrendous around this time of year so plan ahead.
We had a lovely 3 night stay here, the room was excellent with a beautiful bathroom & kitchen area. All amenities were provided from cosy slippers to mouthwash & bath salts and loofah!
The views here are to die for and the gorgeous infinity pools certainly make the most of them.
Food was great too, so much choice for breakfast & 2 restaurants to choose from for dinner. Nice little touch they have is that all of the crockery they provide is made right there in the hotel, you can also purchase items if you wish.
If I was being really picky the only fault I could mark them down on was that the bar staff near the reception area were painfully slow at times.

Greetings from Renaissance Bali, Thank you for choosing our resort as your Bali getaway. We are delighted to hear that you were impressed with the resort’s facilities and amenities, especially the breathtaking view from both of our infinity pools. Indeed, our location might be tucked away from the crowd, however, it allows our guests to have the ultimate relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. Moreover, we are also thrilled to know that you thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet where we serve a wide variety of culinary selection from Asian to Western, Juice bar to the Crepe station. Just like what you mentioned, the best part of Clay Craft Restaurant is not only the breakfast buffet but also the fact that we create all of our plates and mugs in-house at our pottery studio which nestled inside the restaurant. We truly appreciate your glowing review as well as your constructive feedback on our service, especially at R Bar. We sincerely look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back to the resort in the near future. With warm regards, Aulianty Fellina Director of Marketing Communications & PR

The Renaissance Uluwatu is excellent. We loved just about every part of our stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Upon arrival after checking in, we were offered complimentary drinks in the lounge overlooking a breathtaking view while we waited for our room. Our room was modern, extremely clean, and spacious. Our stay included breakfast, which offers just about every thing you could ever want. We also dined at Double Ikat for one of the evenings. The Balinese cuisine and the service were both exceptional. The pools onsite are great. To get to the Roosterfish beach club, you need to take the shuttle, which can get crowded though. The only potential downside I can think of is the location. While the hotel is situated in a secluded location, it makes getting around a bit of a challenge. Walking anywhere is not an option. You would have to call a taxi, use Grab, or hire a driver to get around. Overall, the Renaissance is an excellent choice in Bali.

Dear General manager of renaissance bali uluwatu resort & spa

This is my second time staying at your hotel(30-31 JAN2020), I can deeply feel and experience that your hotel keeps striving to provide the best hospitality to all of their guests, so this stay experience has absolutely built up my strong confidence towards renaissance again because of all the lovely team members at renaissance bali uluwatu resort & spa.

In my great experience, all of the staffs have been trying their very
best on providing an excellent service to us sincerely. And I would now love to share with you in every specific details.

The front office team:
MR. MEGA, the director of rooms. He is the person who keeps me up to date and replies my message even he was off duty a week ago, how hardworking and responsible he is!! He has also passionately offered a generous room upgrade and assisted me to get a very nice table at a luxury restaurant. Everything shows that he has a strong passion and great eagerness in working in Marriott and keeps striving his very best to develop in the field of hospitality in the future. Because of him, I had a very smooth and wonderful stay experience.

The loyalty manager, Rara. She is a very impressive team member, she is very friendly, sociable. She always puts on her lovely smile and greeted me sincerely. She has also proactively introduced the amenities of the hotel and showed her care about our arrival experience.

R Bar, Febby.
She is approachable, kind and sociable. She remembered the name of me and proactively approached me when every time I entered the R Bar. She has tried very hard to serve each guest by starting social chat with them and greeting them gently. Her hard work is truly appreciated and has left an excellent impression to all those elite members.
I entirely appreciate her hard work and are happy for the hotel to have such outstanding staff!

Restaurant, Agung.
She is a very impressive team member, she is very friendly, sociable and genius. She attentively serves me special drink and thoughtfully suggests drink to
me and remembers my drink preference. She has attentively greeted me about my stay and she has taken a very good care of us during my stay!
As a Marriott Bonvoy loyal member, I can deeply feel how your property treasures
and values its members and guests. I should say this stay experience
is absolutely perfect! You have also exceeded guests’ expectation and it flawlessly let me travel brilliantly!

I truly believe that it is because of the excellent coaching and supervision of the senior management team including GM and Mr. MEGA, all of your team members have delivered a perfectly impeccable service.
I can undoubtedly share that your hotel does deserve the highest level of recognition and it will be having a great success in the nearest future!

Thank you very much for offering me such a memorable and impressive holiday!

Best wishes,
Mr. Ho

A modern style for the interior n exterior.

We were given a room near the swimming pool/restaurant. Yet, the view towards outside from the balcony was blocked by the roof of the other buildings beside the it (see the 1st and 2nd photos below). Then, we requested to be re-allocated to another room in the building situated at the edge.

Like the first bfast: buffet, since they had many guests (Sunday morning). But, à la carte on the second day (Monday morning), bcause most guests had checked-out. Well, that was due to the pandemic, so a wise way to reduce the costing, and not wasting food.

The staff members were helpful and nice.

If you want to go the beach club ( Rooster Fish @ Pandawa Beach), you hv to check schedule for the free shuttle (a mini bus) and be punctual standing by at the lounge. Otherwise, you will miss it and have to wait pretty long time for the next one . It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get there from the hotel.

We could not find many spots for taking photos for the instagram, tho', as it is not a boutique hotel, I suppose. However, we could get a nice one at the infinity pool, towards the sea view.

We stayed for 6 nights in a Deluxe Ocean View Room with a Balcony. As soon as you arrive you can see the enormity of the property, the lobby is spectacular and the greeting from the hotel staff was excellent. Our rooms overlooked the main pool area and once you go exploring you find another more quiet infinity pool at the bottom of the hotel. There are 6 wings to the property, it is massive. The only setback is the rooms don't cancel out the noise, but this wasn't a big deal for me. The bar by the pool is a great place to relax. The breakfast, WOW, one of the best I have had in a 5-star Hotel. The staff are incredible, always greeting you with a smile and they should be commended on their attitude to being at work. We chatted to quite a few staff members and they were so happy and loved to have a chat. I would absolutely recommend this resort.

Dear all at Renaissance Uluwatu at Bali I would like to state that I alongwith my family had been guests of your country and entered Bali vide Visa on Arrival no. V5B 4540660 dated 09.04.2022. My passport no. Is Z4062873 India. Sir, we were guests in Marriot Renaissance Resort and Spa, Uluwatu, Bali from 09.04.2022 to 13.04.2022. We were allotted room no. 1604. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful resort. However, at the time of checking out on 13.04.2022, we found that an amount of $ 1100 (US Dollars) and an amount of 200 Singapore Dollars missing. The currency was kept in a white envelope inside a brownish red coloured ladies handbag of my wife and it was kept inside the wardrobe. We suspect that members of house-keeping staff who went to clean our room in our absence took away the currency while we were outside the room. This matter has been reported to the management of the Resort through a written complaint on 13.04.2022, but till time of writing this mail there has been no response from their side. I am quite hopeful, that being a hotel chain of repute, I was expecting a positive reply from the side of the resort, but I am surprised that the management of the resort at Uluwatu, Bali has decided to keep mum in this incident. I am left with no option but to raise a formal complaint with Indonesian police as this was a criminal action on the part of the hotel employees. As I have already left your country on 13.04.2022, I am forced to write this email to register my complaint. I would like to request you to lodge a formal complaint as to the theft of my currency amounting to 1100 US Dollars and 200 Singapore Dollars from room no. 1604 of Renaissance Resort and Spa, Uluwatu Bali, Indonesia during the period of 09.04.2022 to 13.04.2022. Please take necessary action by finding the culprits and getting my money back to me. That Sir in the interest of tourism and fair play and good reputation of your country, such criminal acts of house keeping people must be discouraged at all costs, so that tourists in your country may feel secure and safe to visit your country after the disastrous effects of COVID-19. I sincerely hope that my email shall be duly acknowledged by your office and positive action be taken in this regards. If I do not receive any positive reply within the next few days, I will be left with no option, but to inform the Indonesian Embassy at New Delhi, India. Finally, I would like to request you to escalate the matter and find out the culprits who has committed the crime of stealing the currency from my bag and return it back to me at the earliest. With warm regards Utpaljeet Baruah House no.94, East Jyotinagar P.O. Bamunimaidan, Guwahati Assam, India -781021 PASSPORT no. Z4062873 (India)
