I am not one who would normally ever stay in a motel. But by the time we decided we were making the trip, there was very limited availability anywhere so we booked at the Centennial Motel. Let me tell you, although the rooms are slightly dated, it didn’t matter because the place was absolutely spotless, the owners are the most amazing, the amenities are perfect, the beds are probably some of the comfiest I have slept in, and it’s soooooo close to the beach! Honestly, my husband and I were travelling with our 10 yr old and our 7 month old and it was more than enough space for what we needed. I know I already said it but it needs to be said again, the owners are absolutely the sweetest people you could ever meet, they made you feel so welcome, even offering suggestions on the best places to take the kids. All in all a wonderful place. We will definitely be returning:)

Recently I was desperately looking to get away for just one or two nights and remembered going past the well maintained Centennial Motel so it was the first place I called. I was thrilled when they said they had availability!! This was my first visit to the Centennial Motel but most definately NOT my last!

I was offered a second floor one queen bed room, which was generous in size, was air conditioned, had a small dining table with two chairs, a large bar fridge, cable tv and wi-fi. Although there is no cooking permitted in the room, there are two microwaves just outside the office, on the main floor. If you require ice, you can bring your ice bucket to the office and they will fill it for you.

In addition to a great room, the property has a grassy area with loungers/chairs, picnic tables (with umbrellas) and bbq's (with bbq utensils), a small in-ground swimming pool , a hottub and a chiminea. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee, a meal or just catch some rays.

The location is perfect! You are two minutes to a grocery store, a convenience store and the main shopping area. Since there is no coffee maker in the room, you can grab a pretty decent coffee at the convenience store or, just around the corner, you will find Amici's and one or two blocks further, you will find Two Chick's Cafe. Saving the best for last ... you are just a short five minute walk to the best beach and sunsets in Canada!

We stayed at the Centennial Motel in Sauble beach in August for one night. We took our two little girls (aged 2 and 4). Very comfortable motel. Cleanliness was OK. Staff were friendly and the owners were lovely. The only thing that let's the motel down is that they don't have patio doors in their rooms. Once the kids were in bed we were stuck and it was a lovely night. It would have been great to sit outside and have a glass of wine while the kids were inside sleeping. The rooms also were a little 'down at heel'. Could do with an overhaul in their bathrooms. However, a clean motel and a nice pool outside. Owner was meticulous in keeping it clean. Very good experience and we would go back.

Last August (2011) we stayed at Centennial Motel after booking at the Sauble Beach Lodge (which is disgusting and I lost my deposit and walked out of the place). I don't require fancy accommodations but do require cleanliness. The Centennial Motel was just that. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the grills available to cook dinner (which we did one night). Location is great - quick walk to the beach and near everything, yet quite at night. We are looking at options for this year and will probably stay at Centennial again.

Stayed a couple of nights with my family and was nicely impressed at how clean and cozy motel was. I definitely recommend staying. Have stayed at competion and hands down best place to stay. Nice rooms, clean pool, and nice hot tube. Close to main strip, and not too noisey. Family motel and nice people.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Centennial Motel in Sauble Beach. It was literally 5 minutes from the beach, restaurants and shops. They have a beautiful pool and spacious clean rooms. The owners are lovely people and we will def. be back! No regrets picking this place and would recommend it to anyone!

This was our first time to Sauble Beach and we were very pleased with the Centennial Motel. We were greeted at the front desk by a friendly gentleman who was kind enough to recommend 2 restaurants which were both very tasty. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable as well. The air conditioning worked great which was much appreciated on such a warm couple of days! The Centennial is a very short walk to the beach and shops which was wonderful. Once back to the Motel, relaxing in the pool and hot tub were the perfect end to a lovely day. We would definitely stay at the Centennial again if we returned to Sauble Beach.

Room Tip: We stayed on the upper level which has a nice porch to sit out on in the evening.

On our recent trip to Sauble Beach for a few days, we chose this time to stay at the Centennial Motel and had the King Room with the jetted tub. The motel was exceptionally clean and the staff/owners were very pleasant. The room/bathroom were quite large and we loved having the fridge. The bed was very comfortable. Jetted tub was a big treat also. We did not use the pool/hot tub outside, but it was nice to know it was available. There is also a bbq area with picnic tables. Coffee was provided in the mornings just outside the office and there was a microwave in that area for use as well. It was a very short walk to the main shopping area/beach. The only downside was that the picnic tables were just outside the bathroom window so if you have the room at the end of the hall, make sure the blind is closed in the bathroom. I've already recommended this motel to a few people.

The first time I came to Sauble Beach I stayed at the Lakeview Motel. This time I choose Centennial. Although it is more expensive at Centennial, it's exceptionally close to the beach, it is more new and more clean. The water at the Lakeview had a really bad odour, but at the Centennial it was so much better.

The staff are very friendly, had no problems.

Since the motel is so close to the Beach, you just walk over instead of needing to fight with the traffic on the main street, and paying for the expensive parking on the beach.

It also has free wifi.

I love visiting Sauble Beach it's a great place for families and couples. I stayed during Canada Day weekend, the fireworks were breathtaking over the water.

Since there are no large chain hotels at Sauble Beach, I would say Centennial is probably at the higher end in that area. But in comparison to other areas, it's probably a 2.5 or a 3.
