Hotel Alpenblick receives accolades for its authenticity as a traditional Swiss chalet, offering a cozy and quirky atmosphere that guests enjoy. While opinions on value are mixed, with some citing high costs, the locally brewed beer and the chalet's charm are often praised. The service is generally admired for the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, though a few visitors have mentioned slower dinner service. Cleanliness is a strong point, with the hotel maintaining well-kept and characterful rooms. Room experiences differ, with comfort being a common thread, yet some guests note a lack of consistency in size and amenities. The serene and scenic location earns high marks for its proximity to both the tranquility of the region and the convenience of the train station.

We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights, it's located in a quiet village so generally if you want a peaceful/quiet area, this is a great location. Just a few minutes walk from a bus stop that takes you to Interlaken West and about 10-15 mins walk from the Wilderswil train station.

Breakfast is decent, typical Swiss breakfast (Breads, Cold cuts, cereals)

When booking in hotel, you'll have to specifically ask not to be stay at room 17. it's located on the 4th floor and it has a slanting, low headroom which is prone to accidently hitting your head on the roof. The bed also has a footboard which makes sleeping difficult if you are a tall person. We tried to stay for 2 nights but can't get a good sleep and asked to be moved to another room on the 3rd night however there were not available similar type rooms and we were asked to pay extra to upgrade. I wish that they just waived the upgrade fee given the situation, we ended up moving to another hotel for the 3rd and 4th night as we were not getting the rest that we needed. The hotel agreed to cancel the 4th night without charges but we paid for the 3rd night since we checked out late (which is ok)

Like most hotels in Interlaken, there are no lifts in this property so you'll need to be prepared to carry your luggages via stairs

We booked 2 standard mountain rooms which is not cheap (CHF 237 per night per room) but one of the room was the bad one.

Suggestion to the hotel - you may have rooms similar to room 17, I suggest that at point of sale - have a different category of this type of room with clear photos. Then sell it cheaper than the standard room. This way, customer's expectations are already set properly. the photos in booking.com and agoda showed the regular rooms but we were given the slanting room

This family run hotel offers comfortable rooms with mountain views in a village close to Interlaken. A short walk away is a station leading to the Bernese Overland railway system leading to the Jungfraujoch and via Murren and cable cars the famous Bond Schilthorn. The food is excellent: breakfast, packed lunches and dinners. We were part of a group based in the hotel for 5 nights on a full board basis. Staff were welcoming, attentive and responsive to enquiries and requests. Breakfast was a marvellous selection of cereals, fruit, meats, cheeses, fabulous breads and lovely coffee. It is a quiet hotel focused on comfortable rooms and ensuring good food at the beginning and end of the day to enable guests to venture out and enjoy the fabulous region of the Jungfrau or further afield to Lucerne or Bern easily accessible by rail via Interlaken. We would happily consider staying here again.

The quality of the restaurant is exceptional. We did not even tried any other restaurant in the region. We were waiting to taste another plate each night. Of course, this has a price: victim of its quality the time to serve was from 30 to 60 minutes. But worth it.
The hotel room however was small for 4 persons, with however a nice balcony (we were at the annex) with super view of the mountains.

Dear Guest Thank you very much for staying with us in Wilderswil. We are so very pleased to read that you ate at our Restaurant every day/night because you enjoyed our Food so very much. Every room is different in our 400 year old Chalets and not one is the same as the other. If you let us know the type of room you prefer, we are most happy to accommodate your wish if this is in our power to do so. Lovely that you enjoyed the view of the mountains. We look Forward to welcoming you here again in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Stöckli and Team.

We stayed here as part of a rail discoveries trip. The room we were given really was appalling, upstairs in the loft (room 20), no balcony or view and we struggled to stand up. Told the hotel was full but we could be moved after 2 nights when other guests leave however the new room would be a shared balcony and again limited view. After being told the hotel was 400 years old countless times we moved rooms and made do. So be aware if you are in a group you won’t all have the same type of room. The group were upstairs for eating and drinking (out the way) for most of the week and after following the hotel on social media for a year prior to our trip I was disappointed. Don’t expect no Michelin star on rail discoveries! The 2 hours you were given for ‘all inclusive’ is strictly monitored and nowhere to sit and chat afterwards they will clean and lock up around you. We ventured out to other places on an evening and received warm welcomes so that is good to note. Some of the staff were friendly and accommodating but overall we were disappointed.

My husband and I were part of an organised group staying in this charming family-run hotel with views of majestic mountains, including the Jungfrau.

The continental breakfast offered a wide choice and the evening meals were delicious. Michele and her team in the dining room were welcoming and attentive. The reception staff were helpful and our room was clean and well-serviced. One could relax on the terrace at the front of the hotel and enjoy a drink.

Public transport is within easy reach, the 105 bus stops around the corner from the hotel and takes one to Interlaken West where there are good connections. The train station is about 10 minute's walk, slightly downhill from the hotel.

Wilderswil is a central location from which to explore the Bernese Oberland. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel and we hope to return soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel on a Rail Discoveries tour. We were staying in a superior room in the chalet, which was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views of the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger from our balcony were stunning - what a treat to see the peaks lit by the early morning sun!

The five course dinners were excellent every day and served by very jolly and welcoming waitresses. They were very generous with the included wine and beer too. At breakfast there was a wide choice of cheeses and cold meats as well as muesli, yogurt and fruit salad. The range of different kinds of bread was the best we have ever seen in a hotel and there was a variety of jams too.

The village of Wilderswil is beautiful and the station was only ten minutes walk from the hotel, so the hotel is in an ideal location for exploring this stunning part of the world.

This hotel is an absolute gem. It is a traditional Swiss chalet which makes it very attractive before you even enter. Inside it is both cosy and quirky with lots of local antiques on display.
The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need.
The food is exceptional with many courses and great variety.
We were very impressed with the staff who were all helpful and cheerful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is well positioned in a perfect Swiss village just a 10 minute walk from Wilderswil station.

This typically Swiss hotel, a 10 minute (uphill) walk from the station is comfortable and friendly. Breakfast is a buffet with cereals, fruit salad, yoghurts, lovely breads, meat, cheeses, eggs (including boil your own), and a variety of homemade jams (I loved the apricot and vanilla). The evening meal was several courses, with generous portions and speedy service. I have a food intolerance, and there was a bit of a muddle at times, as the waiting staff were not sure what I could have, but I never went hungry! Thank you.

We were looking forward to have a nice and very delicious dinner and we sadly failed totally. The food quality wasn’t great except the ceviche which was very nice. I asked for tasting a white wine to make up my mind. This wasn’t really welcome. The wine was listed as served by the glass btw. The ordered wine arrived with the main course after two reminder and the 2nd glass never came. The waiter didn’t get my desert order and brought a lime sorbet with vodka instead of the ordered lemon sorbet with vodka. He neither apologised for the forgotten glass of wine nor for the wrong desert. The desert hasn’t even taken off the bill. Very unprofessional waiter in all kinds. Our todays experience wasn’t good. It would be a win for the restaurant to properly train the staff.

Hotel Alpenblick resembles a typically Swiss chalet style building but with all the modern necessities required of the inquiring traveller. The hotel is conveniently located for train and bus connections into both the high Alps and the towns and cities of central Switzerland. The restaurant food is of a high calibre and the wine list is extensive. The beer is locally brewed and is of excellent quality. The hotel staff are a lovely bunch of friendly folks who ensured our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and without any hassle. Recommended.

Hello There is a train station "Wilderswil" 800m from the hotel. Easier is to get off the train at "Interlaken West", take bus nr. 105 to Wilderswil and get off at the bus stop "Wilderswil Lehngasse". This is very close by. For further information, please contact our reception directly: info@hotel-alpenblick.ch. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you

Hello, I'm no expert, we went in February and the only time we really needed gloves, hat and warm coat was when we went to The Top of Europe and Schilthorn Piz Cloria. even then I only had a warm jacket, I took a heavy jacket and never used it. Main thing is good hiking type boots
