A sólo una hora y quince minutos de la Ciudad de Panamá, Ud. encontrará un hotel inspirado en la belleza de la naturaleza. Al llegar a Bay View da la impresión de estar en un oasis en medio de la playa, por sus varias fuentes de agua y por el verdor de su exuberante vegetación, compuesta principalmente por plantas tropicales, palmas, y flores. Posee una piscina rodeada de ranchitos y sillas de playa, y una hermosa terraza justo al lado de la playa, con una espectacular vista de la bahía. I am surprised by some of the reviews here. We had a really nice lunch with fresh fruit juice, bass ceviche and greek salad with chicken. sitting right by the water with a nice breeze. The waitress was efficient and nice. The hotel is definitely not new but it is clean and has character. We went to see one of their rooms, it was basic and clean. I think that for the price, you get good value for a hotel/restaurant right on the water.

The view from the Bayview Hotel + Resort was amazing. The friendly staff served a splendid meal while we watched the ocean from the balcony chairs. Had a refreshing swim in the pool and breakfast was included with our stay. Easy beach access!

[--] Located on El Palmar Beach in San Carlos, Panama We found the Bayview Resort in Playa San Carlos in a guidebook. It was a little bit difficult to find, as we drove around the VERY small town of San Carlos for a bit before we found it. It is nestled back in the beautiful trees right smack on the Pacific Ocean. We had to rent two rooms to accomodate the 5 of us, the single room was 40/night (including tax) and the double room was 44/night. We had cable tv, a/c and hot and cold running water! The beds were comfortable, although the pillows were a little flat (seemed to be the norm for all of Panama). The grounds around the swimming pool were phenomenal...truly paradise (see pic). There is a restaurant onsite, overlooking the Pacific where we had really great food for a really reasonable price (by American standards...was spendy for Panamanian standards, but we were happy with it). We had Balboa beer, appetizers and awesome main courses (served with some of the best pineapple juice ever) for a total of 45.00 for all 5 of us. We only stayed there one night, but it was very clean and the people were very VERY nice there. We felt totally safe and ran around barefoot most of our stay there. We found by being there in our summer (their winter), we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

I had a pleasant stay at ba view hotel. I love the view from the restaurant it's very beautiful. The beach is in front of the hotel and the pool has two sides. The food was very good I recommend all the sea food. And they do their own fruit juices was very good too. The rooms have their A/C, private bathroom. In the breakfast we have included an american breakfast but in the menu there's a Panamanian breakfast at it taste and look very good. It's a place that you can enjoy the beach and be relax.

Previous reviews that panned this property probably didn't do their research as I think it is represented as it is. We live in Panama and this beach location is basic and the hotel is an older property, but clean and great location. We stayed overnight a couple years ago and the rooms are basic so if you want fancy and more amenities, go to Marriott, etc. and pay the prices. I think rooms here range from $70-$90. Also can come for the day to use the pool and beach for $10 adults and $7 kids. Today we went for lunch. Service was better than a lot of hotels in Panama. Food was ok. We are Foodies so met our need for a basic lunch, nothing gourmet. Of course our bottle of Underraga Sau Blanc was way over priced for $18 as I can buy it for $6 in the supermarkets.

Was so appalled with this "resort" that I forgot to snap pictures. Horrible vacation spot. Pool looks like something you would find in a low budget apartment complex. Pregnant winner dog walking around food area. Broken lounge chairs. Not one nice thing to say. Well, the only nice thing to say is you definitely get what you paid for. My group which consisted of 9 women, left this spot with a guickness and went to Playa Blanco and had an amazing time.

My family and I had a great time with friends 5 years ago at this place, which is only 1.5 hrs away from were we live. Our daughter asked to return for her birthday this year and I booked 2 rooms 2 months ago for us and for our friends explaning that this was a special date and we were hoping to have at least as good a time as last time. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
Our room only had a ran down nightable and no other tables or drawers in which to put our things. The floor was dirty with sand and the water heater did not work. Our friends´ room was in a better shape, clean, with tables and shelves as well as a water heater that worked! When I asked the lady at the reception (an elderly woman from Honduras) to please fix the water heater or move us to another room, she said I needed to wait for the handy man to come on to his shift and refused to put us in another room in spite of the hotel being pretty empty. The worse part, however, was that she became angry at the fact that I was requesting that they honor what they promised to offer and was extremely rude and inappropriate towards me, saying that I should go to a 5 star hotel and never return to Bay View. She raised her voice, pointed her finger at me and became completely irate. I seriously think she has an anger control problem as she also became rude on the phone when I had called to find out that we had to take our own beach towels as the hotel does not provide them.
Sadly, we later found that this woman is the owner´s wife and therefore, there was no one else we could complain to and expresss our disappointment to. The waiters and servers at the restaurant and bar were very nice to us and seemed embarrassed when they witnessed how the woman at the reception treated us. We managed to enjoy the beautiful weather at the beach but will never return to this place which does not look anything like the pictures on their web page.

The hotel is located in the sleepy surf beach residential area of San Carlos. It is located on a very clean beach where you can walk for miles when the tide goes out. The room was small, but perfect. It had the only balcony over looking the beach, adjacent river and the entire coastline! Precious. The seafood was excellent with a nice balcony dining area overlooking the ocean, with helpful staff. There is a pool too. A new new addition opeing in January in the back section of the proeprty by the parking lot offering a few modern rooms with a bar below. The rooms are well appointed though we personally enjoy the unpretentious, traditional panamanian style rooms since we had no plans to stay in the room all day at this lovely beach location. The balcony made the experience Super Bien!

What a terrible,rundown place with horrible service,horrible food,rocky beach,and the light switch in the room gave a significant shock. Even the owner got a shock.nothing on the dinner menu was available except fish which was microwaved poor quality fish fillets. Breakfast..no pancakes,no bacon,no jam for toast..just fried eggs cooked to rubber,swimming in oil. They even put away the poolside lounge chairs at 4 in the afternoon..removed our towels to put away loungers. Would never, never recommend this dump.

We went for dinner and drinks on a Sunday night. Great ocean front table. Beautiful sea views. Cools ocean breeze. Service was really good. Drinks were really good. Price was good. Bucket of beer (6) for $12. Really good price considering the great ocean front setting. We did not stay at this hotel, so I have no info on rooms. But, the property looked nice with a decent pool.

Tenemos 12 años de estar brindando hospedaje, restaurante y buena coctelería en el bar, igual que en las áreas de piscina siempre nos esmeramos por mantener buena atención y buen servicio. Si lleva 10 años visitándonos, la próxima ocasión le sugiero que solicite el libro de; visitantes frecuentes y anote un breve comentario, al igual podrá percatarse de muchas buenas notas de la satisfacción que dejan escritas huéspedes al hospedarse en Bay View.
Igual usted es testigo, como dice por 10 años, nos esmeramos con mucho interés y cariño al estar siempre innovando y cuidando las instalaciones. Nuestro restaurante tiene buena cocina y buenos comentarios, siempre estamos recibiendo. Me alegra escuchar y nos sentimos orgullosos, que le gusta la Comida de Mangle Lodge, el personal de cocina y otros vienen de la Escuela de Bay View.
Gracias nuevamente por sus comentarios y dejar sus opiniones ante criticas tan crueles, que sinceramente.... No son dignas de todo el esfuerzo y trabajo que realizamos para mantener buen nombre de Bay View Hotel y proteger nuestra inversión.
