The Hotel Neuhaus golf & strand's location is perfect. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Our room Deluxe double with balcony and lake view was a good one. The room is not vast or spacious but was enough for a small family of 2 adults and a baby. The room has balcony basically it's only one huge balcony which is accessible for 3-4 rooms. So it's not a private balcony. We saw this when we checked-in while making the booking it doesn't give you that picture. The balcony faces the astounding view of mountains and the lake Thun. The hotel is situated on the shore of the lake Thun. And a pier to the ferry leaves for Interlaken and Thun. The hotel also provides a guest card upon arrival which has a free pass for the ferry ride and a bus ride for Interlaken. You can also reach Interlaken by car in a few minutes, its not far from the hotel. The hotel has one lakeside restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wifi was free inside the room and in the restaurant. The hotel also has big parking, so you can park your car inside the compound.

Golf Neuhausbegin, we didn't get one of the upgraded rooms that appear on Booking.com. I suppose that the hotel is in some stage of upgrading rooms because we did see a couple of rooms with the door open and they had the nice new floors. We had old carpet that had definitely seen better days. To be honest though, my wife did read something on Booking.com that mentioned the possibility of not getting a room that matched the pictures. So Caveat Emptor.
Beds were also dated and uncomfortable. Pillows were okay though. While the room did smell and look clean, one of the two bathrooms had a musty odor. The other bathroom had a fan on that did not stop running the 2 days we were there so it smelled fine. Pretty much everything was dated and the showers were lined with what appeared to be vinyl flooring. Never seen that before. Slow drain/flush is a problem too.
Breakfast staff was efficient but not friendly.
The view from the hotel is amazing and they have an excellent Breakfast. The room, although dated was quite Spacious. The room also had a Water pot/ heater, tea coffee and condiments. Mini fridge was a plus. Reception staff was very friendly. Location is pretty good for Interlaken activities. 5-10 minutes to downtown and 30 to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.
The outlets in Switzerland are different from other European outlets so plan accordingly. They use a different 3 prong type that I have not seen before, but luckily I had one adapter.

Chose the hotel based on location and it is really a superb location if you want access to the Thunersee and plan to do things around this area. Access to the lake and water sport is perfect.
On the positive side we liked; 1. The location 2. Rooms were exceptionally clean 3. Staff were friendly and helpful 4. Shower was excellent with good water pressure 5. Free parking 6. Free transport into and around Interlaken
Room for improvement
1. The beds were so soft I could not sleep. Staying for 4 nights this was an issue 2. We booked a double bed and got two singles pushed together 3. Rooms in the main hotel, away from the restaurant, were a little small. The the wardrobe taking up a huge space. 4. Wifi was terribly slow. I haven’t experienced this in Switzerland in years 5. Breakfast was a little bland and croissants not fresh any of the days
Overall I think the hotel was a little pricey for the standard. You are paying for the location really and the rest was a little mediocre. Would I come back. Probably not!

This hotel located right on the beach of Thun lake and got own pier for sightseeing boat. Bus 21 also come hourly. Parking was free and spacious. Food was delicious. Our room #3 is at the corner and got excellent view. Bed in room 3 was also comfortable. Plugs are different from other part of Switzerland but reception lend us chargers. All the staff are nice and the lady from reception called Suzanne was very helpful.

The location is out of this world! Right on the crystal clear turquoise lake. With mountains in the background it’s just a place in paradise. The staff were so lovely friendly and helpful and had so many laughs with the manager and Spiros the waiter. The rooms are cleaned and beds made every day. I have an intolerance to gluten and the lady at breakfast every morning had my gluten free bread/cakes made for me. She was amazing. They really went out of their way to make us have an unforgettable holiday. The bus stop is just outside which takes you to the town, the ferry port is right on the lake and you get a free ticket to both. I literally cannot fault this hotel. I highly recommend it and you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is a great retreat, perfect for a getaway vacation. Each room boasts views of the forest and lake, providing opportunities for swimming or participating in various sports activities. A delightful and satisfying breakfast is included with the booking. Despite being a bit far from Interlaken center, there's a bus station directly in front of the hotel, offering continuous transportation to the city and other stops.

This hotel is beautifully situated, the views will blow you away. We stayed for 5 nights and it was the best. Staff could not do enough for us, beds comfy and everything spotlessly clean. I honestly don’t think you will find a better hotel for the money in interlaken. The lake is crystal clear with several little beaches. Breakfast was plentiful with so much choice. Truly wonderful staff too. Can’t wait to go back

Lake-facing rooms with an amazing view dow the length of the Thunersee. Bright modern room and bathroom, very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Staff very professional and welcoming. Fab!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Hotel Strand in Iseltwald. We took a short boat ride to Iseltwald from Interlaken and used the town as the beginning point for our hike to Meiringen. The hotel is right on Lake Brienz. Our room faced the lake and had this huge balcony area that you could sit on and enjoy the views. There is not much to see or do in Iseltwald except relax, but the views were tremendous. I had one of the best meals of the trip at the hotel restaurant -- fresh lake fish with a tomato salsa. Good place to stay if you're in this town.

Have stayed at this hotel several times. It is our hotel of choice in the Bernese Oberland as it is in a super position beside Lake Thun but only 7 mins from Interlaken. It is therefore quiet but not cut off. Plenty to do. Food is excellent. Bus stop outside hotel. Lake steamers call at hotel. Sailing, swimming, volleyball etc at hotel.

Hello,
The boat trip is around 15 minutes and is a really nice ride. It's a large boat that is used for dinner cruises as well. If I remember correctly it picks up every hour and the last return is around 6 or 7 PM. It picks you up right at the hotels dock so that was really nice.
There are more places to choose from in the Unterseen area.
