Hotel's Favourite
I wish I could give this wonderful boutique hotel more stars. Roula and Makis, the owner/operators of Nefeli sunset studios are extremely kind, hospitable and caring. The rooms are modern, clean and have an incredible view of the sunset- arguably the best on the island. We had room 11, which is a brand new room with a wonderful covered kitchen and large living room (private and enclosed with a lockable door and remote control shades) and a spacious bedroom, beautiful balcony facing the water and sunset as well as a large and modern bathroom. Breakfast is included and is absolutely delicious and not to be missed- try the local bread, meats and cheeses. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate with plenty of umbrellas and lounge chairs. There’s a bottle of wine to welcome you home as well. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The location is great not only for the waterfront sunset but also for the short 7-10 minute walk into Pallonia and nearby beach and waterfront restaurants. Roula, who runs the front desk is always happy to help with reservations and suggestions on where to go in Milos. Listen to her advice! You will not regret staying here, it rivals “luxury resorts” in terms of the quality of the facilities and in our opinion surpasses them because of the family atmosphere and kindness from the owners and staff.

Thank you again Roula and Makis we will definitely see you soon, you’ve made our vacation!

We spent two nights at Nefeli Sunset Studios in mid August 2020 and it was truly incredible! The location is second to none, with breathtaking views over the sea, and the most amazing spot to watch the sunset (the sunset is not to be missed so make sure to plan for it - a bottle of champagne on the beach while the sun set was an absolute treat).

The hosts are charming, and extremely helpful. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.

The transfer from the port is about 20 minutes and cost 20 euro - the hosts organised the transfer.

It’s a gentle ten minute walk into Pollonia, which is a charming little sea side village. There are a number of very nice restaurants in the village so you definitely needn’t go hungry! We didn’t find any ‘supermarkets’ so for those looking to make their own food you might need to look a little further, but you can buy breakfast goodies at a few small shops.

There is a beautiful, but small, beach within 150m of the accommodation, and a larger beach in Pollonia itself. To visit other beaches you ideally need a car, and this is definitely worth the money.

absolutely adored staying at Nefeli Sunset Studios. We stayed in a room on the first floor with a modern bathroom and cute little balcony where we had breakfast every morning.

The family who runs this bed and breakfast are so friendly and helpful, they gave us great recommendations on places to visit and have lunch / dinner at.

Sunset views are wonderful here, and its location in Pollonia is perfect for us to get to some of the other beaches like Sarakiniko and Fyriplaka easily by car! Would definitely look to stat here again if we come back to Milos! Thanks so much for the best time!

My husband and I are at Nefeli Sunset Studios right now. I'm sad to say it's our last of 5 nights. I could not be happier with this hotel. The location is beautiful, directly on the water facing the sunset. There are ample chairs, loungers and tables to use in front of the hotel. There is a small beach adjacent to the hotel where the water is calm, clear and shallow.

Aesthetically the property is lovely with a modern Greek flair. The photos on the website or accurate. We are in room seven on the first floor. There is a comfortable bed, with a small living area, and a kitchenette. Table and chairs are outside on the patio. There seems to be everything you need to make a meal. There is also an Nepresso maker. The mattress and pillows are high-quality Cocomat. They seem a little firm at first but once you get used to them, you will find them quite comfortable if you prefer softer bedding. There are good amenities in the bathroom and the shower is amazing. It has excellent water pressure and a rain showerhead. The air-conditioning works fantastic. We happen to be here during a heat spell so this is a really important feature. The only minor issue with room seven is that the patio doesn't have a complete awning so it lacks full shade. Many of the other rooms, however, have a complete awning. This is likely less of an issue on cooler days.

Breakfast is wonderful with many good choices, but not too many that you get overwhelmed. The brewed coffee is really good.

There is a quick 10 minute walk to town, but you will want a car to explore the rest of the island. We were able to rent a car directly with the hotel for a reasonable price compared to other options. The hotel will reserve a taxi if needed.

Housekeeping occurs everyday and they do an excellent job cleaning while not disturbing any of your stuff. They also provide laundry service, which we used on our final day. Our items came back within a few hours with everything folded nicely.

Should I return to Milos I will absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Nefeli Suites.

The owners are so friendly and helpful. We rented one of the cars they rent out and the process went very smoothly and was very convenient. They even provided us with a map and highlighted the places not to miss.

We rented room #12. It is on the second floor with a balcony facing the water. We spent a fair amount of time out there, especially every night for the fantastic sunset view! There is also a terrace on the back (entrance) side of the apartment. It is more protected from the wind, we ended up using this space daily as well.

The living room is large and the kitchen is mostly well equipped. The only thing that we thought was lacking was plastic wrap/foil or some sort of storage containers for food storage and napkins/paper towels.

They provide daily housekeeping which was great, always clean towels, bed made and a clean apartment.

The breakfast is AMAZING! They have a menu that you actually choose from. We tried everything - omeltte, cheese pie, yogurt, cheese plate, meat and cheese plate, the daily sweets, etc. There is seating inside, if you sit inside you are served, or outside, if you sit outside you place your order inside and then they let you know when it is ready for you to pick up. It is all placed on a tray that you carry yourself out to your table. We ate outside every morning. Not only is the food delicious it is also very nicely presented. Really, we can’t say enough about the breakfast, we looked forward to it every day!!!

I would say the only downfall with our specific room was that one side of the bed was up against the wall. Nor room for a night stand or lamp.

We would highly recommend Nefeli to our family and friends!

We have been eight nights at Nefeli's at the end of August, and discovered an unespected jewel of hospitality and elegance, in a setting of great beauty piè dans l'eau, in the village of Pollonia.
The owners Roula, Makis and Nektaria are kind and friendly people. With their staff they take care of every detail, either in the common areas overlooking a wonderful sea landscape, either in the elegant Cycladic-style rooms and suites.
Suites are recently renewed, and equipped with every comfort, including a kitchenette, and furnished with style and attention to design. In addition to a very efficient cleaning service, beach towels and pods for tea and coffee are guaranteed daily to guests.
Our suite, like many other rooms, faced directly west on the sea sunset, to be enjoyed comfortably seated on the balcony with an aperitif.
The delicious breakfasts are freshly prepared with equal care and attention.
The structure offers car rental at competitive prices and transfers to and from the port or airport.
In conclusion, a great pleasure in one of the best facilities of the Cyclades islands

Dear Roula and Makis

I really like to write this review like a little love letter.

This week at your place was simply amazing. I don't even know where to start.

We enjoyed two different rooms (a deluxe suite and the master suite) and both rooms are perfectly equipped with everything you need. Also, both rooms are so beautifully decorated. You can really see the love you have for this place in every corner of the rooms and the hotel itself. The cleanliness is perfect too.

The helpfulness of not only you two but also your staff is extraordinary, and we could feel as your guests that everybody love and enjoy their jobs. Thank you so much for being so attentive and many thanks to your kind help with every request we had.

Nefeli truly is a magical place, where you can enjoy stunning sunsets, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The only noises you might hear are the sounds of the ocean, which is like 10 steps away from the doorsteps of the rooms.

Your guests truly get the full package as you also offer car rental to a very reasonable price and arrange for every trip one might want to take.

It is a place, with a relaxed, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for everyone who simply wants to take a rest (and all the good restaurants are located just a 5 minute walk away).

Cannot wait to return. Nadine & Manuel

We had an unforgettable stay here! Our room was clean and had an amazing view. We were located right on the water, just a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants of Pollonia. Best of all, the people! The owners and staff are hugely helpful with everything from airport pick up, to car rental arrangements, to day-trip recommendations, etc. They even drove us directly to a travel agency to get our ferry tickets printed early in the morning before dropping us off at our ship to the next island! They also made arrangements for us to have early breakfast twice - once for an early boat tour and once on our departure day. Both times, we had our pick of the entire menu despite it being so early. The breakfast is excellent - lots of different choices for main plates, sides, and drinks. All made to order.

Maybe the best compliment I can give is that my husband and I were always excited to get back to our hotel everyday after exploring Milos. They have a lovely set up of lounge chairs, deck chairs, umbrellas and outdoor tables that overlook their beach and dock. Though the beach is small, the water is perfectly clean, refreshing, and crystal clear. Just what we wanted after a hot day! We would swim there every evening before watching the sunset.

We went to watch sunset at Plaka once during our trip, and we were shoulder to shoulder with other tourists no matter where we tried to go. After that experience, we especially appreciated the peaceful, romantic sunsets at Nefeli.

We can’t recommend them enough, and we would certainly stay here again.

We spent near to a week at Nefeli with a warm welcome from owner Nektaria and his wife. We booked while walking around in Pollonia and visiting different hotels. Nefeli has the best view/comfort and amenities, right by the (private) beach and facing west to enjoy sunset from terrasse or garden.
We were offered the suite 5 really well decorated and large private terrace, super comfy bed, kitchenette, etc. Then we spent 2 more days in room 11 a bit smaller with sea view. Nektaria gave us all info on the island, incl armi-sea-excursions which offers best quality to visit Kleftiko with 12-14 people on board compared to 40 on Zephyro!
Or rent a boat by yourself at milos rent a boat not that
expensive and your are on your own!

We stayed in the junior suite for five nights at the beginning of September. The suite is spacious with a separate living room and well-equipped kitchen. There are two outdoor seating areas; a sizeable terrace at the back of the property which looks out over the car park and neighbouring properties and a small balcony overlooking the front of the property with a lovely sea view. You can witness superb sunrises and sunsets from the balcony at the front. The decor of the suite was quite dated but it was very clean. The bed was perhaps a little on the firm side for my back’s liking but it wasn’t uncomfortable.

The hosts were great - wonderfully friendly but not at all intrusive. They booked taxis to and from the port in Adamas for us and were on hand if we need anything else.

Pollonia is a lovely little harbour town. Its beaches aren’t the best on the island but fine if you just want a quick dip in the sea. There is a decent selection of places to eat in the town, all of which are no more than a 10 minute walk from Nefeli. There are a few small shops in Pollonia where you can buy essentials but if you want a bigger supermarket you will need to drive to it. There is a bus service in operation on the island but even during high season it is limited and to get to most of the main tourist places you will need to change buses at either Adamas or Plaka. We used the bus on our first full day in Milos and then hired a buggy to give us more freedom. The property has a sizeable car park and we were always able to get a space.

Ferries to the neighbouring island of Kimolos (which is very nice for a day trip) depart from Pollonia. If possible, I would suggest taking your own transport over on the ferry to Kimolos as the bus service there is even more limited. We walked 3 miles one-way in the scorching heat to Prassa beach which I wouldn’t necessarily recommend as there were a fair few hills!

We loved Milos and I am sure we will return. If we stay in Pollonia again we will definitely consider staying at Nefeli.

Definitely no noise from the airport at Nefeli. The airport is probably more than a 10 minute drive away, and in any case Milos airport is very small, typical of many similar sized Greek Islands.
