This is a very good and value for money hotel if you are looking for something in between luxury and budget :). What I really like about the hotel is the advance technologies in the hotel, the quiet ambience, efficiency of the hotel staff and of course the great location.

The staff had really put in a lot of effort to clean the room and you can see it through the cleanliness of the toilet. Room slippers are provided everyday unlike most of the hotels. They really have a good etiquette as any unfinished drinks left on the table, they would not dispose it and will leave a note to ask you to call them if assistance is required to dispose and clean it. Of course we didn’t ask them to clean but that really left a good impression as most of the hotels I have stayed in will just take their own decision and dispose your drink. Although this may be a small matter but it really show the high standard of good etiquette of Japanese.

Another mention is their fantastic location. Right outside the hotel is the Kyobashi station where you can travel to Ginza, Ueno, Shibuya in a shorter time frame. Else, you can just cross the road and walk straight through about 500m to Tokyo station where you can take to most of the train stations. Not forgetting the Narita bus terminal is also at the same spot. 1000 yen to the airport which is 50% cheaper than the train fares and you dun need to drag your luggage up the various stairs or escalators in the train stations to the airport. We walked from the hotel to places like Tsukiji fish market and even Ginza. There are lots of supermarkets around which you can easily get ready snacks or strawberries, yogurt at a much cheaper price.

Food wise, Tokyo station has a lot to offer with the famous ramen - Rokurinsha Tokyo and Gyukatsu Motomura Tokyoyaedu for the famous beef coated with breadcrumbs. Ginza is also good for sushi too!

That said, not everyone will like the size of the hotel room and it’s toilet as it’s really very small. Toilet can only accommodate one person at a time. No space to put in 2 luggage and we literally had to put one luggage one at a time on the bed just to pack our stuff. However, there is a massage chair for your tired body after the amount of walking per day! But be prepared that the functions are only basic and don’t expect it to be an osim standard.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay with Remm Tokyo Kyobashi hotel. Thumbs up!

The hotel is 10-15 mins walk from Tokyo station. 10 mins walk to shops e.g. Loft, Itoya at Ginza area. There’s a 7-11 next to the hotel. We stayed at the 18m2 double room and able to open 2 luggages at a time, however we had to move the massage chair aside. It is nice to have to sufficient sitting area such as the massage chair and small sofa.

The pillow is quite firm and bed is sufficient for 2 people who are below 1.7m. Space for hanging clothes is abit small, there’s only 4 hanger space available. However one great point is that 3 hooks are available outside the washroom. There are shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash/ face wash and indoor slippers available in the room. Shavers, toothbrush, comb and sometimes tea bags, mints can be retrieved from the lobby area.

Another good point there’s lots of USB ports around the room and electrical points too. No issue with charging 3 items at a time with the electric kettle switched on too.

Entertainment wise, we are also able to watch YouTube on TV which is great as the TV channels available are mostly in Japanese other than CNN or CCTV.

Quite a good spread of buffet breakfast items available, there are western options such as scrambled eggs, bacon, salad, yogurt, bread, cornflakes or Asian options like miso soup, rice, seaweed, side dishes. There’s only milk and some juices, coffee available.

Would be great if there’s greater flexibility to provide some simple breakfast items for guests who had booked breakfast but had to go out before the breakfast starting time at 7am. But overall, it’s a comfortable stay. Room is always cleaned up when we return in the evening and staff are helpful when we ask for directions or when we request for extra bottles of water.

There was a 3-day long weekend during my trip to Tokyo, so hotel prices around that time have gone up quite a bit. I was lucky to have found this hotel, which offers excellent value for money given its convenient location, with Ginza, Nihonbashi and Tokyo station all within walking distance. I booked a double room for 5 nights, and the room size is good; and I like the fact that it comes with a shower room instead of the traditional bathtub. The breakfast buffet does not offer a big selection, but given that it needs to cater for both Japanese and Western styles, I would say all the basics are provided.

Hotel is strategically walking distance to Ginza and abt 15 minutes walk from Tokyo Train Station. Rate is reasonable. The room is small but nice and clean. The room has a massage chair but size is a bit small. Breakfast food is fine, it serves Japanese and western food. The receptionists are not Japanese. They laughed at me with their colleague and spoke in “a foreign language” when I ask some (they may think a stupid) question when I was checking in.
Overall I enjoy stay in this hotel and willing to come back.

This is a good clean modern basic hotel close to Tokyo station.

Standard rooms are small. If there were two of you I don't know where you'd store your luggage - I used the second bed for my big suitcase. Maybe if you travel with carry-on luggage only it could work? Many of the rooms have no real view and I couldn't handle being in that small room with no outlook for more than a few nights. Also, my rooms smelt a bit of BO from a previous guest, which wasn't great.

Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are generous. I don't know why hotels only supply heavy quilts in summer so you have to blast the AC on max all night though. Surely washing cotton blankets wouldn't be that onerous? Beds would be quicker to make and there'd be a power saving.

Location is excellent. There are a TON of restaurants under Tokyo station and there's a metro station outside the hotel. Ideal for a night or two if you need to be close to Ginza or Tokyo station.

Staff do that Japanese thing of not letting you check in until check-in time and literally not a minute before which seems a bit petty when you know almost all of the the rooms are ready.

We checked in yesterday and found the room to be extremely, extremely small (one queen bed). Now this is Tokyo so it's not surprising. However the part where you should consider another hotel is this:

There is no room to open your suitcase. This is not an exaggeration. There is zero floor space available to open a medium (normal) clamshell suitcase and access your belongings. This is because there is almost no walkable floor in this room because of the way everything is jammed into a small space. The small amounts of floor visible are about 1 foot wide.

Then you see....the one spot that would potentially allow you to have some room to open your suitcase, and what did this hotel do? Jam a massage chair in that corner!!!!! Like one of those silly massage chairs you can buy in Don quiote, it is taking up the only potential bit of floor space! WHY?

This is the dumbest decision I've seen a hotel make. Give the guest no room for opening a suitcase, then make sure any little bit of room has a useless piece of furniture. It would be different if that furniture was a nice table you could use to put your bags on to open them, but no, it's a cheesy stupid massage chair.

We are a couple and couldn't open one suitcase let alone two. This will make for a very clunky, uncomfortable and inconvenient stay for the next few days.

Rest of the hotel seems fine, but it's irrelevant because the inability to open your bag is a deal breaker.

Book somewhere else if you have a suitcase.

Remm Toyko Kyobashi is OK. The location is convenient, but the customer experience is not ideal - the check in process manages to be very burocratic AND automated, so you do it twice. They also don't allow you to check in before 3pm, effectively asking you to come back after dinner - it's a dormitory, not a hotel.

This hotel is very well located with an entrance to Kyobashi station just in front of the hotel entrance. Tokyo Station is less than 10 minutes walk away. We were able to walk to the Tokyo Station entrance for the Keiyo Line (for Disney) in about 7 minutes with a brisk walk.

The Ginza shopping area is short walk away… less than 10 minutes. Lots of restaurant options. There is a 7-11 a few doors away.

Rooms were comfortable and clean, though its size meant a challenge when opening luggage (we were in a twin room). The room had a massage chair, such a useful feature. Plenty of usb points to charge devices. We found the beds very comfortable. There was a small desk, room safe and some shelving.

Bathroom came with both a shows and bathtub. The shower area size was generous.

Would stay again!

This is a business hotel located only 8 mins of walk from Tokyo Station where there's a huge underground shops and resturants for your basic needs. The Kyobashi metro station (Ginza Line) is right in front of the hotel which gives you easy access to popular shopping areas such as Ginza, Shibuya, Ueno, and Asakusa. The hotel is modern and clean. Size of the room is fairly typical of any business hotel in Japan but good enough for solo travellers. I love the layout of the bathroom.

I am giving a 4 stars instead of 5 because of my check-in experience. The individual who checked me in showed a stoic face which didn't make me feel welcomed. He was effective, professional, spoke decent English, but didn't strike me as someone who would bother to help or answer my questions. The staff by the elevator who greeted all incoming guests was fantastic who was very enthusiastic in showing me the hotel amenities and supplies. I will definitely stay again at this hotel in my future visits to Tokyo.

We are frequent visitors to Tokyo and have stayed nearby and have watched this hotel being built. As the Covid crisis has ended, we took the opportunity to stay here for 10 days.. we opted for the hotel breakfast and even after 10 days, we are happy with it. The room is about twice the size of rooms we are used to in similar business hotels. Great service.

Answer from TourismDr!
Greensborough, Australia41 contributions47 helpful votes
Although a late reply, I did not see anyone smoking in the hotel. However, just outside around a quiet corner, there was a smoker. If yo are sensitive to smoke, you will smell it. This strip has smoking designated areas including under cover at the undercroft to the station across the road. While Japan is trying to make a cleaner- smoke free environment, this means that smokers can find places to smoke outside and the smoke then wafts n through vents etc.
