Scottish Pines offers wonderful log cottage accommodations close to Wallace, Pugwash, Jost Winery, Northumberland Links, Fox Harb’r, and less than 30 km from Tatamagouche. The grounds of Scottish Pines offer a majestic water view of Northumberland Strait and access to the shore. The cottage we stayed in was well equipped, spacious, comfortable, and very clean. What a find! Treat yourself to an extended stay if travelling and exploring this part of Nova Scotia. Thank you to Scottish Pines for enabling such a quality accommodation experience! My husband LOVED this place. We stayed in a one bedroom Cottage, first on the right as you drive down from the office. It was clean, bright, and pleasant. FREE WI-FI, laundry, large bathroom, high ceilings, and well stocked kitchen, and it's own gas grill out the front door. Lots of hooks and towel racks (a real plus) and a front porch with an outstanding view. I mean: OUTSTANDING. They have chairs overlooking the shoreline where you can watch the sunset. This is a quiet, enjoyable place. It isn't clear how long they will remain in business as the cottages are being sold.... In the area there are a few nice things to do. We were here on July 12 and the bay water temperature was like the carribean! We didn't swim (might be too shallow to swim) and a note of caution: somehow the brown/red sand seems to stain light colored clothing. We also played golf at Northlumberland Seashore Golf and loved every minute of it!

Room Tip: All the remaining cabins are quite nice. Nearer the water might be the best.

We had the privilege of staying in the 3 bedroom cottage this visit and enjoyed it immensely. This cottage offers a main floor king size bedroom with a futon, and two bedrooms upstairs each with two double beds in them and one with a futon as well. There are two full bathrooms and a wonderful open living room and kitchen space. The decks are spacious and the view, smell, and sounds of the sea are a wonderful treat. The fireplace is beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal and the cottage was very clean and tidy. There is an additional room on the bottom level of the cottage which we did not use. If you want to experience nature, be close to golfing, a winery, and a short drive to a brewery then this is your place. From here, you can experience Northumberland shore destinations. Also, the staff are genuinely great and helpful as well.

This is our second visit to Scottish Pines. We have a cozy one bedroom cottage. When you walk in you immediately feel you have made the right decision. The cottage is fresh and clean. Lots on windows and cross breezes so you will sleep well. The Kitchen is well appointed and staff have offered to bring a large lobster pot if we need one. The ocean awaits you down below a rather steep embankment, we were there a few hours before low tide when there was a larger sandy area to walk out on and then found our way out to deeper waters for a satisfying swim. There is a large playing field in front of the cottages as well as a fire pit stocked with plenty of wood. Laundry is located in a separate building for use by guests with pay washer and dryers. We would come here again in a heartbeat and hope there will still be units to rent when we are in the area again.

We stayed in the largest cabin. Although they rented it for six people, if everyone wants their own bed, and not a lumpy futon, then it really only accommodates 5 people on two stories. Nice communal area, dining, kitchen and living room with a lovely looking fireplace. It is clean and appears well maintained. Would be a great spot for a one week family vacation, though I am not sure how easy beach access would be. Probably would have to go elsewhere with small children. Close to the golf course. Not much in restaurants in the area. We went into Pugwash and there is really only one open for dinner that we could find. So, if you stay here, you will have to cook! I did not see a bar-b-que---so check into that when you book.
