Write a reviewWe stayed for four nights in the Evenia Rocafort during the first week in June. It is situated a 20 minute or so walk from the main centre of Barcelona and is near to Metro and the tour bus stops. The rooms are quite basic but clean and of adequate size. The beds were pretty hard. The air conditioning was effective but a bit noisy. Our room was overlooking the central courtyard and so was rather dark, you could not see the sky! Check-in was easy enough and the staff were friendly. There was a minibar with a few soft drinks and beers for a price. There were no tea/coffee facilites nor any room service. We did get a tea from the reception desk when we came back one afternoon but were told that there was no milk as it was locked away. Breakfast was pretty good with a selection of hot and cold food.
Overall a petty reasonable city centre hotel.

All in all, the hotel was very average. Rooms are TINY! REALLY SMALL. Smaller than the IBIS at Gatwick. The staff were great but there is no bar to relax in the evening. There is no room service and no food is served after breakfast. However, the price is cheap £40 a night!
Good Points :
- Staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help you.
-You are a 20 minute walk from the train station so it is easy to explore the rest of spain/europe
- The rooms are cleaned regularly
- The shower is very powerful
Bad Points
-The pillows stank of sweat and had stains from the previous resident!
-The mattress is rock solid.
-The bar was closed and the kitchen closes after breakfast so you can not get anything to eat at all. No lunch or dinner at the hotel. If you eant to eat you need to go out of the hotel. This proved to be a huge problem when we fell ill and could not leave our room.
-Internet is free but you do need to buy an ethernet cable from reception for £4.
If I go back to Barcelona i would pay a little extra nad stay at a better hotel.

Clean & comfortable room in a convenient location for my business trip.
Hotel offers few facilities beyond good rooms & a generous breakfast, with delivered room service available if you want to stay in to eat.
There are active businesses in the street, so normal city noise may start too early for holidaying guests, but didn't bother me.
I'd use this hotel again on business trips.
