- radar643Minden, Canada1,575 contributionsWe stayed at one of the resorts along this lengthy strip of beach along the Pacific Ocean with mountains on both sides. The views of all that you could see were breathtaking, especially the sunsets. Scattered among the large resorts were condos and apartments.Written April 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2014TucsonRoseTucson, AZ13 contributionsA good place to go with kids. Water slides, pool, snack bar. Bathrooms are clean and have showers. Some lockers available. Bring your own towels.
We did the sea lion encounter. They provide lockers, although many were broken, we did find a couple to use. No charge when doing the encounter. You must remove all jewelry and have nothing in pockets. The group of about 12 people were given life jackets and we got into a pool that was deep enough that we could not stand, but could float with our jackets. We met our sea lion Diego and we each got a chance to pet him and hold him for a second and pose with him for smile, sticking out tongue, and a kiss. You can purchase the photos, but they are very expensive. Our trainer, Jessie, was very fluent in English and was great. She also had Diego do several tricks for us.
Be advised that some websites let you sign up any child for this. Others recommend a certain age, height requirement. Definitely not for younger children due to need to float the entire time of encounter and not able to participate in holding the sea lion without sinking.
We took a taxi from the cruise dock for $20 and back for $15. I'm sure that was inflated for us gringos.Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One of a kind artistry, jewelry, t-shirts etc..Some like the food, but seems pricey for a carnival type atmosphere..Is a good diversion from the normal tourist marketing. Worth the visit..Written February 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jim M1 contributionDolphin swim was excellent. Would do it again, and I don’t do touristy stuff. We were the only non-Hispanics there so it was good to get out of the bubble. My 4&7 year old loved the place
Maintenance was very poor. Most importantly I rode the tube down the pink slide. I was allowed by attendant. You go very very fast. At the bottom, the pool is so short I was EJECTED from the pool. Somehow I was unhurt but it could’ve been catastrophic on vacation. I did ride it without a tube and you go much slower. In the US the ride would be condemned. I asked if people got hurt and they said sometimes.Written November 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rmas9338Beaumont, CA6 contributionsThe boat trip to Yelapa was certainly a long one. The boat crew provided good entertainment and decent food. Lunch at the beach was good enough for a hambre guy. The trip back to Puerto Vallarta was even more fun, as the boat crew ramped up the entertainment.Written February 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hebsOregon1 contributionOur visit to Vidanta was such a wonderful experience. It is a very large resort that has everything you would need. No need to leave the property. Very short trip from the airport. We enjoyed all the gourmet restaurants, shopping, golf, spa, gym and several pools. Don’t forget the sandy beach. We got to go to the new luxury theme park which was amazing!
This is a luxurious venue where all your needs are cared for. The service team in all the areas were so friendly and accommodating. Getting around the resort is super quick and easy. Large golf carts with friendly drivers pick you up and drop you off anywhere you want to go. The property is landscaped with beautiful lush tropical plants everywhere. It was the most beautiful place we have visited. We had Alfonso as our butler. He went above and beyond helpful for us. We forgot an important medical device at home and he did the research and found what we needed and had it shipped to us at the resort. He took all the stress out of the situation and we are so grateful to him.
He was on call for our every need while we were there. Such a warm and personal man. We love you Alfonso!

- Mark KScottsdale, AZ36 contributionsThe Vidanta Norman course is a wonderful golf course. It is difficult but playable, even for old guys like me. We spent three weeks there coming in right after the Mexico Open at Vidanta, so that course was in great shape. The fairways are perfect and the bunkers play very well. The greens are a little slow compared to my Arizona greens, but are smooth and true. The shop employees and the starter are friendly and helpful. Julio at the range was great getting us set up and ready. But the best is my favorite caddie, Hugo Martinez, who I have played with for a few years. The moment you hit the ball, he knows where is it going to wind up - fairway, water, or bunker. He reads the greens better than anyone and often shocks me with the reads that are perfect but I didn't see. He also reminds you - "take you time - don't try to kill it." Excellent advice for me. The last day, I tied my all time best score on the Norman course - 79 - and was thrilled. By the way, remember to go to Par Break at the Golf Academy after playing - Ivan will serve you well and the food is great - especially the shrimp tacos. Ivan also has been serving us for years and it topnotch.Written May 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
