Captain was very committed to finding us a blue whale to see. We went up being able to see her mother and her calf. - Monica D1 contributionThe people that work at everyday California were fantastic. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The kayak trip itself was less enjoyable. If you get even slightly seasick you might not want to do it. Also, we thought we would be kayaking through the cave but really the Leader pulls you into the cave and pulls you back out. Make sure you read the description carefully before booking. My 7 and 10yo had a blast and were able to help out in the double kayak. Our guides Nate and Josh were excellent! Really sweet and funny and great with the kids. The leopard sharks were very cool and we got to see so many! - William STemecula, CA21 contributionsThe wife and I needed a day on the water and this was just what the doctor ordered. The boat (NALA) was very new, clean and comfortable. The crew was nice and the captain informative as he piloted us out to see some ocean wildlife.
We did not see any whales however we did see a pod or two of dolphins that playfully swam around the boat for a while.

- Marci F2 contributionsThis was a fun experience to do, especially if you have kids. The tour guide we had was first mate Brent. He was very knowledgeable and we learned about the city and the ocean life.
A word of caution, the boat portion of the vehicle does not drive as fast as the truck version, only about 5 miles an hour in the water. Which meant the boat rocked back-and-forth and caused a little bit of seasickness in one of my kids.
Lastly, I would highly recommend booking this tour directly from San Diego Seal tours. I booked through Viator a third-party. While I got a better price. I also got terrible customer service. After I purchased the tickets online, I got the confirmation email and the time I had selected had changed. When I called the company to see if they could change the tour time they informed me I wasn’t calling within the 24 hour cancellation. And there was nothing they could do. I did not want to cancel. I just wanted the timeslot to change. I didn’t even want the date to change. I just needed it later in the afternoon. Their advice to me was to purchase another set of tickets for the correct timeslot that I wanted. Basically I was going to be out $300 for no reason. I called the following morning directly to San Diego seal tours, and they were able to change my time slot. Steven was the representative that helped me and he was extremely helpful and kind.
Overall, this is a fun tour to do with family and friends especially if you’re on vacation. - Robert BHampton, VA1 contributionAwesome adventure even if it was a little too rough to enter the caves that day. Ended up being the only one on this tour time slot so my guide Scot really made it special. He told me all about the region, the caves, the local wildlife, and even all the cool mansions along the water. The kayak was easier than I expected even with the swells and we stayed much longer than I expected much to my delight. I give this place 5 stars because of their ease of booking, fair price, friendly staff, and excellent guide. A wave in the cave flipped my husband and son’s kayak over and the instructor went right into action getting them back on the kayak.
