Situated just off of Queen's road between Nadi and Lautoka, the Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool make a relaxing day trip from two of Fiji's biggest settlements. You first cover yourself in a thin layer of mud gathered in buckets and let it dry. Your assigned guide will take pictures and you are able to browse the small handicraft market while you are waiting to dry off. There are also people selling fresh coconuts. When you are dry, you then make your way through the four hot pools, which get progressively cleaner and warmer, and are heated by a natural hot spring. Prices are $30pp for adults or $15pp for kids. Towels can be hired for $5pp and massages are also available with prices in the photo. There are changing rooms and toilets/showers on site. You can take the Nadi-Lautoka bus and ask the driver to stop at the turnoff to Wailoko Rd. You will see a sign for garden of the sleeping giant here. From here it is about 4km to the mud pools. Taxis and a local bus do go along this route, but not frequently, so be prepared to walk. Not enthused with the idea of walking back the main highway, the people working there offered to drive us back to the main highway, which cost us $10.

This is a beautiful garden with lovely orchids dotted all around. I would recommend this to people of all ages as it doesn't take too long to walk around the whole thing (45 mins). You are given a tropical juice at the end to cool off with. *it is called the garden of the sleeping giant because myths say there was a giant who ate so much, he fell asleep at the top of the mountain and petrified which overlooks the gardens.* It would have been better if we had been given a map as it was hard to know where to go. Overall, this is a nice and beautiful place to go if you have an hour to spare.

We went first thing in the morning while it was relatively cool. The caged birds were active although the bush birds were already quiet so didn't see much in the canopy. The whole place is beautifully set out, tidy and well maintained. If our kids were younger I am sure they would have loved the experience (we didn't take them they are 30 somethings)!

Port Denarau Marina earns a solid 4/5 stars for its picturesque setting and convenient amenities. Situated in a stunning location, it offers easy access to various activities and attractions. The marina boasts a range of dining options and shops, catering to visitors' needs. However, occasional crowding and limited parking can be minor inconveniences. Overall, it's a bustling hub teeming with energy, perfect for soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Fiji's coastal charm.

Came to Nadi for a holiday and not impressed with the main beach there (Wailoaloa). Took a day trip to Malamala Is, worth it once but no need to return. Natadolo however is what we look for in a beach. Soft white sands, safe turquoise waters, reef snorkeling, and amazing sunset. We've spent 4 almost consecutive days making the 40min drive from Nadi to Natadolo we loved it so much. As for the beach vendors mentioned in other reviews, they're harmless and nothing like the predators some have made them out to be. They are polite and offer fantastic massages at around F$1 per minute, so a great price.

There are two resorts at the beach that offer day passes outside of peak times and we'd recommend this as the only public toilet is a hike and we only discovered it on our last day. The vendors and their families are beautiful friendly people and they'll happily keep an eye on your vehicle and possessions if you wander off for a couple of hours. For rookie snorkelers like us, the assortment of sea life is stunning and a short stroll off the beach in calm waters. High tide is the best time to visit but low tide allows other discoveries. Not a great deal of shade, a few palm trees to try and get to before others but by mid afternoon you'll be fully exposed with no where to hide (unless you're in the resort). Come prepared with food and drinks because you can't buy anything of that nature on the beach.

Very nice tour! From Wairiki (Aroha Taveuni) we got a taxi (Mark Naresh tel. +6799246028) to go to Lavena (h 1,30). Then nice walk in the shadow to a river: crossing easy with the existing rope). After that a walk of 30’ in the forest till the waterfall. Great!

A great half day trip, well worth seeing if you are staying near Sigatoka. The local bus will stop here on request, and the entry fee is $10pp. The reception includes a museum area. Make sure to take a picture of the map there as along the dunes the trail isn't well marked. After the dunes, just walk along the beach towards the reception and look for a sign that says 'this way'. There are options for 1 & 2 hour trails with shortcuts along the way. We did the 2 hour trail, which wasn't difficult, although you do have to scramble up the dunes. I definitely would recommend it.

This was part of our South Pacific itinerary and well worth the stop. This small (2 miles long) island with a population of around 135 to 150 inhabitants welcomes approximately 2000 cruise passengers to their home several times a month.
Most visitors take advantage of the beaches and snorkeling there. There is a school there that many visitors bring supplies to which is well appreciated. While there you can do boat rides around the island, shop for crafts or buy refreshments.
There are several trails around the island, if you head to the right, you can hike to the highest point of the island. We chose the less traveled path (to the left) and for most of it, it felt like we were the only people on the island.....we came across a unique cemetery, a wild pig and a deserted beach.

We stayed 3 nights and wished we’d stayed longer. We booked the beachside bures. Where do I start with how lovely this place is? Our welcome onto the water taxi - music, humour, happiness. There were activities throughout the day if we wanted, learning about traditional Fiji medicine, weaving, coconut trees and climbing, drinking coconut water, fire walking, fire dancing, karaoke (Thursday) the show stopper dancing Saturday night and Lovo meal - the staff work so very hard!! I became sick overnight with an unexpected kidney stone and the staff ferried me off and got me to hospital (treated immediately) and back no problem. (Extra charge but travel insurance covered it all).
The day fills up with the day tourists but the nights are quiet. The food is a buffet and its really good (charged extra) Rooms are spotless. I loved resort dog Max and resort cat Tuesday. I would go back in a heartbeat. A great honeymoon or anniversary destination that wont break the budget if you dont like the hustle and bustle of big resorts.

This newer experience is a wonderful addition to the Nadi tourism scene.
The guide walks you through a recreated village explaining the culture. The fish and chicken is cooked in a traditional earth oven.. fantastic food!! Then the fire dancers delight.. loved it!!

Visited during the last week of June '24. Good 6 hour trip off resort. Clear, clean waterfall with large pool for wading at the end of short hike. Bring cash. Trail well maintained and easy to trek during dry weather. Concrete path with option for horseback travel. Enjoyed learning about the fauna and wildlife along the way. Cava ceremony and handicraft market upon arrival. Don't miss spending time at the elementary school on the way.

This was the highlight of our trip! Worth the flight from Fiji to Traveuni! 3 waterfalls , a rock river crossing , swam under the waterfalls, hike was nice and moderate, wear hiking shoes if possible for the rock crossing ( has a rope). We LOVED it. Total hike including swimming was 3 1/2 hours! Go early!
