We rode in an air conditioned, comfortable bus. From the start, we were well received. The tour guides were professional, and very knowledgeable about all the places we passed and all the places we went to. We saw many, many historical sites including wall of Avila, Roman aqueduct and Medieval alcazar (castle). So much detail in structures. So much to experience as you walk through streets in both cities. We had an appetizer and drink break (included) in Avila where you could order your lunch too if you like. Lunch is not provided so bring your lunch or be prepared to buy your lunch in tour pace time. Lots and lots of walking, so be prepared but it is well worth it. - Sara K1 contributionThis trip was amazing! I went with my mom who is not good at kayaking, but it was very doable even for her. The snorkeling was cool. The cliff jumps were fun. Everything was awesome. Marcos was the best guide ever who even took photos and videos with his Go Pro. He was an endless source of positivity. You are lucky if you get him as your guide. Thais was the best guide- smart, knowledgeable and hilarious. She had so many great insights about Monserrat and wine! The sangria and tapas that we enjoyed prior to cooking were delicious and set the mood for a fun time. We prepared both seafood and chicken paella. It was the best paella I've had! - Glenn HIrvine, CA40 contributionsI took my son to Madrid and Barcelona and we did several excursions during our trip.. This was the last and definitely our favorite! Alex was our Guide. There were 8 people on the tour and he picked us up at different locations throughout the city..Alex made every one in the van feel like family and we got to know each other throughout the day ..He then took us to Girona for the morning where we walked around this amazing Midevil town.. after having lunch at a local restaurant, we headed to Costa Bravo to walk around the beautiful sea side town..He entertained and educated the group on all aspects of the two cities and Spain. He gave us all a great history lesson on many aspects of this beautiful country. Don't miss out on the 'dolls house' museum as it will blow your mind!
