Do Queer People Have Better Sex? Chrishell Stause and G Flip Say Yes

The power couple made some compelling points in their joint Pride message on Instagram.

In a Pride message on Instagram, Chrishell Stause and G Flip made an important (and true) point that has sent the heterosexual community reeling.

“Statistically queer couples have better sex… sucks to be straight,” they wrote in the caption. “HAPPY PRIDE 🌈.”

Before we go any further, I just have to back up the Selling Sunset star and the nonbinary drummer with some hard data: In one 2017 study analyzing how often different groups of people reported orgasming during a sexual encounter, 86% of lesbians said they “usually [to] always” climaxed compared to only 65% of heterosexual women. That falls in line with other research showing that lesbians are orgasming significantly more frequently than straight women.

That said, some commenters didn’t take too kindly to being educated on the subject! As actor Bryana Salaz observed, straight people were “fighting for their lives in comments but u can’t fight statistics,” to which G Flip responded with uproarious laughter that I can’t help but hear in an Australian accent.

Most importantly, the post brought out a who’s who of celesbians and queer dignitaries, including former Bachelorette Gabby Windey, who wrote “She speaks the truth!!” Windey herself went public about her relationship with comedian Robby Hoffman in 2023, continuing the notable trend of reality TV stars coming out as queer in recent years.

But perhaps the best comments under the carousel of couple photos came from Stause and G Flip themselves, who responded to the offended heterosexuals with a mix of humor and education. In reply to one person who said, “Well this is weird since u used to be straight,” Stause responded, “Well then I should know.” (Points were made.)

But elsewhere in the replies, Stause explained that she meant the post as a cathartic moment of levity. “I get constant disgusting comments from straight people offended by who I love DAILY,” she wrote. “I take it on the chin and honestly don’t care and haven’t for 2 years of it […] This was a joke. If I ever said to straight people half of what they tell me, they would implode. Everyone needs to lighten up. It’s never that serious.”

Honestly, if this is the kind of energy Stause and Windey are going to bring to The Traitors castle next season, I’m even more excited than I already was. It’s almost time to find out whether queer people are as good at simulated murder as we are at sex.
