The Grizzlies have tapped Kiswe to power direct-to-consumer streams for seven non-playoff NBA Summer League games and pregame shows within its Grind City Media app. The streams will be free-to-view in the Grizzlies’ TV broadcast region (Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas and Mississippi) and include interactive elements like a live chat and fan video selfie feature.

Applications of Kiswe’s DTC delivery technology continue to grow within the sports industry, as the company now adds the Grizzlies to a client roster that includes the Jazz (Jazz+), the Suns/Mercury (Suns Live), the Clippers (ClipperVision) and The Tournament (streams of its soccer and basketball events this summer). The company also partnered with the Lions on a successful alt-cast of a preseason game last fall.

“I don’t think, traditionally, we’ve necessarily been a household name,” said TK Gore, Kiswe’s head of sports business development. “Now I think more of the marketplace understands that we are D2C tech. We’re beyond remote cloud production and some other things. What you’re going to see in [the Grizzlies Summer League streams] is very similar to what we’ve been doing with other NBA teams.”
