Youth voices are often silenced, shut down, or misunderstood. Whether you are struggling with your identity, processing trauma or simply feeling lost—I am here to listen. As a counselor, my goal is to make the healing process as accessible and enjoyable as possible. Together we will build a safe, creative space to process and grow. My approach is primarily humanist and strengths-based, which means that I focus on the client, their story, and their strengths. I tend to blend a variety of modalities, including CBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy and roleplay.

I work with teens, couples, and adults. I believe that psychotherapy offers unique possibilities for healing and growth. The first step in therapy is to understand your needs and develop an approach and plan that will help achieve your goals. I will listen carefully and thoughtfully to you. This opens up new ways of approaching problems. Working together lightens the load.

As a multi-racial, formally diagnosed autistic individual with lived experiences of systemic violence, I bring a unique and deeply empathetic perspective to therapy. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how trauma impacts vulnerable populations differently and often more severely. My commitment to civil rights advocacy is driven by a passion for addressing systemic violence against marginalized communities, including people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those living in poverty, and people with disabilities.

Whatever your situation that has led you to seek therapy, one thing for certain is that change is inevitable, and growth is optional. We may not always recognize our agency, but we can choose whether to lean into the changes around us, or resist them. If you are curious about how to lean in, talk therapy can help.

Thirty two years ago, when I began to practice, I was fascinated by the resiliency of people individually, and their family systems. I have worked with people from many different backgrounds, with many different challenges. My approach to therapy is down-to-earth and uncomplicated. Most often I lean heavily into Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). I look at challenges from several viewpoints and work with the client to help them identify the strengths within to address their own concerns.

The past is just a story we tell ourselves. Through early formative experiences, we mold core beliefs about belonging, worth, and lovability. Therapy is a place to untangle the narratives we have internalized (perhaps unconsciously) and impact our ability to show up in the world authentically and connect with others deeply. Understanding our past can help us bring compassion and awareness to the present moment. Let us bravely explore the complexity and messiness of the human experience - embracing all that you are.

Desiring to bring connection, healing and vibrancy back into your own life or your relationship? Have you and your partner begun to feel more like roommates than soulmates? Desiring to regain a sense of personal identity and purpose? Change is possible. I work with couples to move them from disconnection to a transformed connection. Individuals from mundane to whole-hearted living.

I work with those who have suffered from low self-worth for most of their lives; with people who believe they are unlovable and unworthy of connection or belonging, and who would classify themselves as 'not enough.' These sorts of beliefs are extremely painful and often cause us to cope in ways that can lead to issues with eating disorders, pervasive anxiety, depression, feeling out of control with emotions, social isolation, crisis of faith, and insecurity in relationships. When we struggle with low self-worth we tend to become our own worst enemies and can easily get stuck in this pattern, not knowing how to free ourselves.

I enjoy exploring communities by combining a lifelong passion for language learning with new food, music, and art. Having grown up in a multicultural community myself, I enjoy working with clients who call more than one community their home.

As a mental health professional, I want to assure you that it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and lost at times. It is important to recognize when you are struggling and to seek help. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for support, but rather a sign of strength and self-awareness. There are many resources available to help you, including therapy, support groups, and self-care activities. It is never too late to start taking care of yourself and to work towards a happier and healthier life. It may be difficult to make the first step, but trust that it will be worth it in the long run. You deserve to feel better and to live

Whether it’s to self or others, I believe that a sense of connection is where individuals thrive best. I work from a strengths-based perspective allowing individuals to capitalize on already existing skillsets to support their healing and expansion. We explore and integrate practices that have a meaningful resonance with the client and further cultivate a deeper sense of identity, purpose and connection. We also work beyond symptom removal and further explore the depths of the psyche and soul with the intent of discovering profound meaning in our suffering. You cannot heal what you cannot feel.

We all long for intimate human relationship but for many of us, we can't seem to shake this dull aching loneliness that resides in the pit of our souls. However, the inherent human need for meaningful relationships has remained elusive. Often, it feels easier to isolate than to face the intolerable reality. We have become experts at stifling our needs and desires. But when we enter into the presence of another, when we begin to tell our stories of heartache and pain, healing begins. We need a witness to our grief, someone to join alongside us as we lament. Above all, we need a place to experience belonging.
