My goal as your counselor is to help increase self-awareness of your thoughts, actions, and reactions, helping you to become the agent of change in your own life. I appreciate a variety of counseling techniques including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused therapy.
I believe counseling is an organic process that will never look exactly the same from one person to the next. I have over 15 years experience in the field, and spent most of my career as a school counselor. I believe health, wellness, and exercise are essential aspects of positive mental and physical well-being.
