NOTE that as of 6/23/24 my schedule is too full to permit new patient scheduling. I do not keep a waiting list, but typically I am able to reopen periodically. I am a psychiatrist offering medication treatments and/or psychotherapy as appropriate. Most of my patients struggle with anxiety or depression, although I also have broad experience in treating ADHD, bipolar disorder, as well as various issues of life adjustments and relationships. Note that I do not specialize in treating children and adolescents, couples therapy, or addiction treatment. I offer either video or in-person sessions.

Taking clients in North Carolina only. I provide medication (combined with counseling if you you wish!) to help you reach your mental health goals. After graduating nursing school, I worked in the hospital for a total of 8 years before making the decision to advance my education to become a nurse practitioner. Dr. Luna Sanchez Rivera holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. After completing residency in 2016 at the Ponce Medical School Psychiatry Residency in Puerto Rico, she then moved to North Carolina to complete a subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Duke University Health System. There, she transitioned into an Assistant Professor position and focused on structuring the Pediatric Emergency Psychiatric Services and helped to support the Consult and Liaison Pediatric Service.

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Hill-Price aims to empower others to live their best life by focusing on medication management grounded in diagnostic accuracy and science. She earned her M.D. degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Appalachian State University where she graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Shaffer's passion for working with children and families developed during her involvement in a pre-K Head Start Program in Rural North Carolina. She completed her General Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine at Campbell University.
