I am trained as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, which means I draw on a range of theories and concepts in our work together. Underpinning my work is my belief that we all have a human desire to feel whole and connected, with ourselves and with others. Yet, this can seem unreachable. I will help you explore those parts of your experience that may prevent you feeling this way, and always hold in mind how difficult this can be at times. I have experience working with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, identity and unresolved trauma (including abuse and attachment trauma) .

Coming to counselling is often the first step in your journey for positive change. There are different ways we can approach sessions; from different approaches to therapy and finding a way that is right for you. Everyone is different and therefore, with my pluralistic approach, we can explore different ways that are right by you, guided by how you are each session.

The decision to seek counselling, for you or your child, can be nerve-wracking. Sometimes things happen in our lives that make us feel broken or as if we’ve lost our sense of identity. We might feel like we will never feel okay again. Counselling is focused on the client's emotional journey, with their feelings at the heart of it. Working in a safe and non-judgemental space that offers acceptance and care can help my clients connect with their true selves and find their inner strength. If that’s what you feel you or your child needs, please look through this profile to see if I can help.

Hello I am Katy, I am a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist working in person in Norwich and online. I work with children and adults both individually and in small groups. Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP)provides a creative means for clients to explore and address difficulties, symptoms and psychological problems. Building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, valued and safe is really important to me. DMP supports children to self regulate, build confidence and express their feelings and doesn't reply to talking alone to allow for growth and healing.

Hello, I’m Lauren. As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor I draw upon theories from the main schools of thought and tailor my approach to the unique individual; not applying any particular method to you but rather meeting you where you are, and going from there. As there is no one set way of being, and no one set way of working therapeutically with another our therapeutic relationship is important. I offer a free 30 minute consultation to go through what brings you to counselling, any queries you may have, and to see how we 'fit' and how you feel about the prospect of beginning sessions with me

Is your child or adolescent struggling emotionally? Perhaps they have been dealt a blow, lost trust in others, feel confused or overwhelmed by their experiences. Sometimes they might behave in ways that negatively affects school and relationships, denying them of care and opportunities. They may be experiencing social-emotional difficulties (i.e. anxiety, low mood, trauma, bereavement, neurodiversity, identity issues, low self-esteem or been treated unfairly).

Growing up has never been easy but perhaps due to the ever-changing circumstances, it is becoming even more difficult for children and young people with so many things they have to navigate or are exposed to. When children struggle emotionally, whether they are toddlers or teenagers, either their behaviour detoriate or unhealthy ways to deal with those strong emotions emerge. Either option can be scary and not many will be willing to talk about what is in their mind or is upsetting them.

EXPLORE ~ EXPERIENCE ~ ENGAGE ~ EMPOWER How we feel can impact on our world significantly. Talking through thoughts and feelings at our own pace can be a helpful way to explore what may lie at the root of pain and difficulty. My endeavour as a PERSON CENTRED NATURE THERAPIST is to work alongside you in finding your way back to a space of balance and wellbeing within. PERSON CENTRED therapy is at the very core of how I work therapeutically and NATURE deepens and inspires that process. Combining these approaches can be a way to explore thoughts and feelings and facilitate healing.
