Parent: We are beginning our 10th year at ISI and plan to stay until both of our kids graduate! Our experience has been wonderful in all facets. However, we were a little nervous when our then 5th grader was to transfer to 6th grade (the dreaded middle school years) but have been pleasantly surprised. The transition was, to put it plainly, easy! To start, the school is just all around welcoming, but most of all the schools dedication to social and emotional well-being is, what I think, what made the transfer so easy for her. She hit the ground running and made so many achievements this year, we couldn't be more proud. With that being said and to be fair, I do need to comment on the IB Continuum where ISI offers the IB program to ALL students through the PYP (and MYP); The PYP has more than prepared my daughter for success, especially in middle school (also known as the MYP or Middle Years Program). Senior: My experience at Park Tudor School has been filled with new personal connections, intellectual growth, and an emphasis on trying new things. The school requires 2 seasons of a sport, a fine arts class, and various other humanities and STEM requirements. These push me to approach education in an interdisciplinary manner, learning about history's application to technology and math's influence on creative writing. The teachers at PT support their students in any way needed. I have used many teacher office hours, asked for countless recommendations, and gotten exposed to new opportunities through them. The highlight of this school is the small knit community. My graduating class has 118 students all of whom know each other and every teacher very well. When walking down the halls I am familiar with all of the students and teachers providing a sense of community. Parent: A college preparatory school with diversity. When people hear that Brebeuf's religion is Catholic, might try to avoid Brebeuf because they think it will change their beliefs or will force them to change their religion. Brebeuf has a variety of students that come from different religions like Christianity, Buddhism, etc., and they are all accepted for their belief because that's what a family does. A family is always loving, looking out for one another, and non-judgmental. The students at Brebeuf are always loved by teachers who will look out for them in tough situations and will not judge them for different beliefs or ideas. Alum: Overall, Carmel High School provided me with a fantastic High School experience. The school is well known within the surrounding community for having great academics and sports, but most people are still unaware of the amazing amount of resources and experiences the school provides. I can absolutely say that I feel fully prepared for college, thanks in part to their comprehensive college and career readiness center, which offers programs that help counsel students on the college application process in various ways - particularly writing essays and completing the common app. I can also say that the counseling department is great at helping students choose the right courses and schedule as well as discussing any issues or questions pertaining to college applications. Another great part of Carmel High School is the widespread sense of community and engagement, as the sports events and clubs/activities offer an abundance of opportunities to get involved.... Senior: Cathedral High School has overall been an amazing and enjoyable time of my life. The teachers care deeply about each of their students and put time and effort into ensuring there are opportunities for students to understand the content. These teachers become role models in many students lives and I appreciate how they connect with their students. One thing I would like to see change at Cathedral is for them to support the arts more. While at Cathedral, the theatre department and art department were overlooked constantly by the sport teams. The art building is quite old and has not been upgraded to be larger and the plumbing is faulty. The same goes with the theatre department. Sinks and saw machines are old and worn down. The number of students has drastically decreased and despite the number of announcements the theatre makes, we are not able to increase our numbers. Parent: We have been here for two years and have nothing but a good experience even during the pandemic. Mr. Chambers is a great principal that goes beyond to know his students at the school. The high ability program is really great. The class is project based. I also have a child in general ed and he loves the school and teachers. My kids love all their specials teacher (Pe, Art, Gym, music, etc.) During the pandemic everything was really organized and they have done a great job at mitigating the virus at school with very low cases. The curriculum is district based so it probably doesn’t matter which Brownsburg school you go do. They seem to all be really good. Students who fall behind get a personal tutor. I really don’t know how much better you can get for public school. You’re paying for it in housing prices but it is still cheaper than living in Carmel.... Read 2 reviews

There were opportunities to engage in such as clubs, AP courses, sports, and our honors diploma "program"; but I just didn't engage. My personal schedule just never worked out that way. I know a lot of people at my high school, who've graduated alongside me, engaged in several opportunities, I would've as well. My best experience was definitely with the teachers, they all were so caring and made an impact on who I am today.
